I had my first experience with this company today and I have to say I feel like they went above and beyond for me. Every person on staff was honestly lovely. I came in slightly on edge with an emergency tire situation and was treated so kindly. They offered excellent prices, and were kind and thoughtful; right down to observing the cause of my issue and where to sort it, with provider recommendations. I like the place. I dread the big box stores.. they're always swamped & half the time they tell you to come back another day. I pulled in here & within 5 a half an hour they were changing my tires. John seems like an honest man, he answered any questions I had & seemed happy to do so! the rest of the team were just as nice. they even explained why my car was wobbling. I got 2 new tires, all 4 tires balanced & rotated for $262. while it is around the same price as the bigger stores, this was a personable experience. I got to sit outside in the sunshine and watch them do it while chit chatting. the place I got my front tires from didnt even balance the new ones I bought from them. read more

Bright orange building - cannot be missed! I called this morning and spoke to a gentleman who immediately knew he could get me the tire I needed and could get me in just as quickly. Everyone greeted me as I pulled up, several made sure I was being helped and all were kind in understanding I had I had a toddler in my car too! (Which goes a LONG way from a momma's perspective!) I have been here once before, with a partner who's tire also needed to be changed, and they were just as quick and polite with their car and their services as they were with mine. The only drawback isn't even their fault, the construction outside the building itself (off 8 mile) is obstructing the entrance just a bit. All that being said, I will definitely continue to bring my car here when I know I need a hand. read more

I left Dscnt Tire after a bad experience, searched on Yelp and found Lewis Tire Service. No frills not thrills, just great service and value. Hard working people, waste no time, everything is done quick. My tire was old and the thread had worn out. I had to buy a new tire, good price and got done in 20 mins. These rough and tumble rapscallions are great characters. Short spoken and succinct but more than capable of repairing any mechanical trouble that ails you, but as long as it is rubber related. I would recommend these simple but kind and modest folks to any adventure out upon the field, who is without a tire. read more

John seems to own this place. One of his workers seemed irritated I brought my car in to have tires swapped. Complained that I should have brought my car in a couple days later do to it raining. I don't have time to bring car in when I feel like it. I tipped him and he didn't say thank you or a word for that matter, just put his hand out to take the cash. John seems like a good honest man and for that I would come back. They did on the other hand blow my tires up to 43 lbs per tire, which I had to deflate them to the norm, which is 32-35 lbs. Car was riding ultra stiff at 43 pounds and would wear the middle of the tire gone quick with less traction. Kind of a rugged place to go. I like that type of place, whereas others may veer from this type of place. I look for the deals whatever the place looks like, as far as anything outside of restaurants or where I buy my food read more

I would give zero stars if possible but it only lets me give one. If the boss John is not there don't plan on getting any service or buying any tires, or needing any tires fixed, or buying a rim or spare, or anything that has to do with tires, which is the only thing they sell... employees sit around smoking cigarettes throwing their hands up saying I can't do anything until John's here and when you ask when the owner John will be back they throw their hands up and say "I don't know 45 minutes". Well, "I don't know" how the owner runs a business while he's gone if the employees can't possibly do any work without the boss being there. pretty sad. Employees say "come back tomorrow" while your sitting in their parking lot with a flat tire. Completely unprofessional. read more

I went to get a tire and was waiting in the lobby. I got a phone call so i left and went to my car to talk on the phone. The person helping without saying anything to me waived me over to a different spot. So not really knowing what was going on i followed his directions, the again without saying anything to me the guy grabs a rim out of the bed of my truck and takes it inside. I continue talking on the phone because i don't know what he's doing. He comes to out to my car and says "your rim is shot". i reply with "I know" and he walks away to another car. they ask me to move my car again so i do, but this time when i try to pull back in he waves me off and says i wasted his time and he's not going to sell me a tire. I've never been denied service anywhere in my life, I'm usually a very polite person, but he didn't say 1 word to me about what he was doing. So in short, terrible customer service, very rude, and entitled. Apparently they didn't need my business so i would recommend that you don't give them yours either. read more

Great service! Very affordable used tires that were basically brand new. They had me back on the road in 20 minutes. I had to add on to this post because a few days after getting my tires, I ran over a screw head and was worried that it may have went all the way through. I took it back up to Lewis Tire and they removed it and checked the tire out for me free of charge. Great service once again! I highly recommend this place. read more

I have been going here for years. The location is convenient, just off I 75 and 8 Mile. Call and tell them what tire you need and they will have it ready for you. The price will be right. At 9:30 am on a Tuesday morning, Lewis Tire immediately and inexpensively fixed my leaky tire. They started on my car as soon as i pulled in and it took about twenty minutes. What a relief! It had gone completely flat overnight, I didn't know how long the air i pumped in would hold. They checked the air in all four tires and got me back on the road. They said my tires were in good shape otherwise. This is my new go to place when I have a leak in a tire. read more

I went there yesterday because I had a slow leak in one of the tires on my car. I was greeted by a very nice man who was sitting on a bench outside. That was the start of my great experience. I was told I was getting a good used tire for 40$. They didn't mention the disposal fee of 4$. On top of that they would t let me see the tire before they put it on. I waited over 40 minutes. It's the worst used tire I have ever bought in my life. There is barely any tread on it. Very unfriendly place. DO NOT GET TIRES here !! read more
