Dr. Lewis is solely responsible for saving my life. I've heard a lot of bad things about Lewis, nothing I could agree with. I've seen a number of doctors for my condition, all but Lewis told me to get my affairs in order, there was little if anything they could do for me. That wasn't Dr. Lewis's approach to helping me, and I wouldn't have blamed him if he felt he could do nothing. Having said this he didn't follow suit as so many others before had, Lewis helped me when no one else would. He was forthcoming, told me it would be a long hard road to recovery, I put my life in his care and he did not ever once disappoint me!
Most I see at his office are expecting miracles and put little into doing their part to get better. Drugs seem to be what they're looking for to solve their pain issues, drugs to help with your pain should be limited, certainly are not intended for continuous use. I've live pain free for years after Dr. Lewis treated me, to this day I take nothing for pain relief.
Dr. Lewis isn't the kind of doctor that's going to baby you, he's going to do everything he can to help you get better. Some need their hands held like children, many sadly write poor reviews because they had unrealistic expectations of him, highly unlikely they did their part.
Others like myself, if you do as you're instructed, keep your appointments and do the work you'll come out on the otherside of your experience with great results as I have. Praising Dr. Lewis rather than beating him up because you were impatient in his waiting room, had unrealistic expectations of him and his medical staff. His medical staff to make a point is not his office staff, they are seperate in every possible way.
You can whine all day long about how much it hurts, but to be honest too many people who see doctor lewis expect miracle results immediately with no suffering on their part, that's just not realistic.
Admittedly the office staff could do a better job at serving their clients, the office wait time needs improvement. One office staff member I've dealt with should not be in front line service with people who are generally in pain and have little tolerance for her attitude. She shouldn't be in the patient care business at all, constantly a disappointment whenever I encounter her.
Having said this, the office staff is not Dr. Lewis, nor are they apart of his medical team. They're office workers who need to be addressed seperately when opinions concerning Dr. Lewis are stated. Certainly he's not responsible for their behavior and should be listed seperately from your experince at his office, this is a corporation and not Dr. Lewis's private practice.
If you can get through the stress of the office staff and waiting room duration, when it's your turn to see Dr. Lewis and you do your part, the end results will be more than you could have possibly expected of another human-being. I'll take on any doctor with poor bedside manners who has the skills Dr. Lewis has to someone who blows smoke up my backside just to make me feel cared about. Dr. Lewis skills, and his successful results were all I needed to know I was cared for.
I broke my neck, was completely and totally disabled, given a significantly reduced life span. Twenty-one cervical spine and back operations. After Dr. lewis did his part, and I did mine, I've made a full recovery, and back to working in the career I thought was lost. Walking long distance I could not have imagined I'd ever be able to do again.
Do your part, or just whine as so many I see in his office do! If you've had a bad experience try being realistic in your expectations. Admittedly, his office staff could do better, but the doctor's are the best you can have putting you back on your feet. I wrote a book, If It Hurts Don't Do That, Narcotic Free Pain Relief. My experience with Dr. Jeffery Lewis is highly depicted in it's pages.
You might consider reading it, maybe the next time you see Dr. Lewis you'll have a better outlook and certainly a better experience with his staff. It's available online. Knowledge and a better understanding of your condition, and the process for getting back on your feet could be the start of something unexpected and certainly more rewarding for you and your family! read more
