There is also a parking lot right on Ocean Ave between East Maple and East Glenwood Avenue for easy access. So keep a look out for your pup because they can get pretty far from you and I think it can be hard for them to hear commands. There are parks for children and a paved trails for strollers. Something about the sprocket was bent. Ugh! Instead, I sprayed some sunblock on my arms neck and face, put on a hat, and took a walk. The beach is stunning. Flat, warm, sunny and not overly crowded for a July weekend. While the beach is not step free, they're trying hard to make it as accessible as possible with mats and ramps that can support a wheelchair. That's awesome. I did see a bunch of offroaders. Apparently, you can get a permit to bring your 4WD onto the beach. Pretty darned awesome, that is! What are those huge concrete structures? They're WWII-era bunkers! Yes, these huge installations were built to counter the fear of German U-boats invading Philadelphia via the Delaware River. I have only been here once when I was the only person with a dog there (Wednesday at 3pm) and shortly someone else came. There are 3 large runs with the ability to fence off your dog if you choose but it mainly stays open. If you don't live in Bel Air, I do not recommend trying to get there around rush hour (5pm) because it took us an extra 30 minutes to get through all the traffic and we were very frustrated when we got there but weekends are easy. There are plenty of waterbowls for your dogs. I usually bring a gallon of water and all the dogs share spit. This is a great place in the community. Adjacent to the dog park is a nice hiking trail you can take your dog on as well. From one end and back, it is over 4 miles.

Very spacious sites with the bathroom/shower reasonably close. Parking was "ok"..... but they fill up and then you have to use overflow. The bathrooms/showers were clean BUT I guess I'm used to sites that spray repellent because nature is boss. We drove through the comfort sites of D and they were too tight for my liking. They have yurts and cabins but for me a tad too close. They do have an Island camp site Loved it!!!!! That's a must do. It's 2 sites across a short walking bridge with water view and access. I would definitely go back.
