We met friends from Minnesota who were visiting Florida here for dinner. He is a vegetarian and she's a pescatarian and they are both kosher. This was their choice of restaurants. The restaurant is kosher. My husband and I shared a felafel platter. First off they bring a dish of pickled veggies to the table and a basket of fluffy pita -- even before you order. I really like the beet marinated turnips. Some of the "pickles" were a bit spicy for me but my husband liked them all. The felafel were wonderful. Perfectly cooked and still moist inside. You got to choose six salads from the "bar". We selected hummus, Israeli salad, babaganoush, beets, and a chunky eggplant. My favorites were the hummus and the eggplant. We were given extra pita as well. In addition, we got a side of beans and rice. The white beans were soft and flavorful as was the rice. My husband brought half home and had with his eggs the next day for breakfast (!). Our friends had a veggie platter and a salmon pita wrap. The veggie platter was their choices from the salad bar. The salmon was hot and freshly cooked and served as a sandwich with condiments added. They didn't have the knafeh (listed on the online menu) that my husband likes, but they did have bobka (cake) that looked great -- although we were too full to try it. Kosher food -- especially the meat dishes -- are exceedingly expensive now. Not being kosher, I had no clue, so some of the menu prices are a bit of a shock. However, if you stick to the appetizers and smaller dishes, and share, (portions are large) you will be okay price wise. I have a friend who lives near by and likes middle eastern food. I told her about this place and we are already planning to come here.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. LONG wait . Short staff . I was waiting for 20 min for waitress to come and then give up and went my self to ask someone to get my order . Food is not even good ... bean soup was not a soup was probably beans that that put on rice .. extra small portions for prices they ask .. . Please hire people who can communicate with costumers and definitely need more staff there .. 1 hour wait to be sited and make order and 1 hour for plate of shawarma which one already cooked ? that TERRIBLE.

** . So I was really hungry when I went here so I'd take any food. I got here late because I was supposed to meet some relatives and KontyM A but the appetizers were still out (it was pita bread). It went quickly so we asked for some more, they were out of the second kind of bread. Two minutes later we see the owner come out he takes his mask off, what do you think he will do. A-Drive home. B-Go ask the customers if everything is going ok. C-Eat some food himself. D-Take a smoke break. Well if you guessed D you are correct and probably disgusted. We all get our drinks which is in a self serve machine so Covid yay, just to let you all know KontyM A saw a cockroach on a cream soda she was going to get. We all order food I get one of my favorite foods ever that you can't mess up matzah ball soup. My relatives get schwarma with lettuce in it but... the server says "We are out of lettuce." Two things they are out of! ! About ten minutes go bye everyone has their food where is mine? Couple minutes later I see a staff member get out of the restaurant again I'm scared of what he will do well you guessed he smokes. I'm disgusted but as I mentioned I'm hungry and my food be on the way, I also waited a long time so why not go the full 100. It's been about 25 minutes since I ordered everyone is halfway done. I ask "Where is my food?" They say "We are out of Matzah balls." ! I'm mad I stayed for the rest of the dinner then left hungry. As I walk back to the car I see the same staff member smoke. This place is for people who want to suffer, starve and have smoke blow in their face every five minutes. One of the worst restaurants I've ever been to.

Hummus and falafel were excellent. The $13 Israeli salad was old and soggy. Absolutely revolting. Skip this place.

The food is okay, the prices are high. I could give 3.5 stars if the prices were lower. The employees are nice and friendly but the restaurant is confusing. You can't really tell if you must sit down and order at the table or order over the counter and wait.. and when do you pay? It kind of looks like fast food restaurant (order over the counter) but the prices are as for the fanciest Mediterranean restaurant. One tiny pitta bread costs $10, laffa sandwich is $15 and a platter $18. We ordered laffa sandwich with falafels and chicken shawarma platter. I assumed you choose what you want to add to your platter but no, they just add selected things that you might not like, are too greasy or spicy. We also ordered fries that were too salty and oily (in my opinion) and their falafels were too mushy and soggy. I can't even describe the texture but it was something really strange (2 stars to those). Chicken shawarma was a bit too bland, missing salt, taste and flavours. Not one of the best for sure. Most things on the platter were not for me - too greasy. Their hummus was good, they had nice selection of salads and I loved their pickle bar. So 3 stars to that! Would I come back? No.

This place is super authentic. Strip mall is run down but don't let that fool you. Found is great. Salad bar options are amazing! The beef shish is super tender, moist. Kefta is well seasoned with all the essential herbs.

Shawarma ,mixed salads ,pickles ,amba ,schug ,babka cake ! Heaven !

We've been hitting up Mediterranean restaurants like nobody's business on this leg of our spring…read morebreak, in part because of our proximity to many, and in part because my progeny and I are currently obsessed with babaganoush in its many variations. For this particular dinner, we were also focused on finding a truly vegetarian friendly restaurant where we could take our dear friends. Kabobji was a wonderful choice for vegetarians, omnivores, and carnivores alike. It's a large restaurant with plenty of booths and large tables for gathering with friends and family. Someone I suspect to be an owner was working hard alongside his wait staff and displayed a sense of genuine hospitality. Above all, the restaurant has a rock solid kitchen. The falafel ($13.99 / 5 pieces) here were ****STELLAR****!!! They're shaped like Indian medu vada (fried with a hole in the middle), probably for the same reason: to allow as much of the surface to fry to that perfect golden crisp as possible. And Kabobji's falafel were, in fact, awesomely crisp and well textured, made from soaked chickpeas in the traditional style, perfectly sized, nuanced and subtle in flavor -- some of the best we can remember having. (For reference, we love Nish Nush and Tanoreen for falafel in NYC -- and I think our neighborhood must be one of the major international epicenters for falafel.) Also excellent: the baba ghannouj ($10.99 for the small size), just a bit chunky, enriched with a lot of tahini, a moderate amount of garlic, a touch of lemon. This is how we like to make it at home. The vegetable ghallaba platter ($20.99) was simply made with thinly sliced onions and bell peppers, a small amount of zucchini, I think, and a touch of tomato. I would've loved to have had a spritz of lemon or sprinkle of sumac for a more acidic component, perhaps a little less onion. Note that this dish works better as a main course when accompanied by something protein-y like hummus, but it was pleasant to eat alongside our other orders. A convive, who went with the mixed shawarma platter ($27.99), found it to be a generous portion size and enjoyed it, especially with a side of well composed fattoush salad (+$5.99 to upgrade). Beef shish kebab ($14.99) and lamb shawarma ($15.99) wraps were both excellent and moist, a good balance of protein and vegetable. I didn't try them, but the "cheese pies" ($12.99) turned out to be pitas covered with a large amount of melty white cheese that some young children might enjoy as pizza. (Mine probably would've found them to be "too cheesy," but they're mutants.) They came three to an order. When you dine in, they bring a big basket of warm pita / pida to the table -- quite a generous touch!! I think it's house made and of course went beautifully with our food. Bottom line: GREAT FALAFEL! Great, low-key, family-friendly vibe. Good for vegetarians and non-vegs. Go.

Because we had a large group, we ordered two veggie mezzas for the table. They come with grape leaves, baba ghannouj, and hummus, which makes them perfect for sharing. And the unlimited pita bread is always a win. The salad, so refreshing. The Lebanese cheese rolls are also amazing. Some of us switched it up and tried the spicy fish, sautéed shrimp, and the mixed shawarma platter. No regrets. The fish was so flavorful and the perfect size. LollllpThe rest of us stuck to the kabobs and lamb, which are consistently a safe bet. The space is great too. The huge windows give you beautiful lighting, and they have seating for large parties that still feels more private. We'll definitely be back.

It's a kind of place that you come with your family start with a Mediterranean sampler because of course it's going to bring a little bit of everything then the chicken Shawarma, which, with the creamiest dreamier sauce the halloumi but those lamb chops I think my biggest regret was not ordering more of the lamb chops, like I was literally drooling on that. There's even a seven spaces burger with actual lamb. You have to check them out.

Avoid this place at all costs…read more This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The falafel was terrible, the chicken kebob plate was awful, and the overall food quality was completely unacceptable for somewhere calling itself Mediterranean cuisine. The dish claimed to come with peppers there was literally one tiny piece in the entire kebab. The chicken had no flavor and tasted poorly, and the rice was completely off, more like Mexican rice than anything remotely Mediterranean. What's even more frustrating is the way the staff handled it. When we raised concerns, they didn't take any responsibility and brushed it off as if the issue was on us. No attempt to fix the problem, no acknowledgment just dismissive and unprofessional. And somehow, they charge a mandatory 20% service fee for this. For what? There was zero service, zero care, and zero effort to make things right. Charging customers extra while delivering this level of food and attitude is unacceptable. Do not waste your time or money here. There are far better options out there. Honestly, I'd take store-bought hummus from Publix over this. If you actually want good Mediterranean food and proper service, go to Ethos instead it's night and day. This place is not worth it.
