As a board member of a building with many residents needing window repairs or replacements, I expected a much higher level of professionalism. I contacted this contractor today, and he told me he wasn't even sure when he would be available to come take measurements. When I asked for a timeframe, he couldn't even tell me whether it would take 1 or 2 weeks just to come out for simple window measurements. He said he would "let me know," yet never even took down any contact information. On top of that, the person I referred to him was also left waiting without any response or follow-up. This is no way to run a business. The customer service is extremely poor and unprofessional. I had no idea the company operated this way, otherwise I never would have referred anyone to them. Do yourself a favor and use a real window repair company like Mike the Glazier instead. The business owner has since removed his rude and unprofessional follow-up comments to my review and has now taken a much softer approach in his response. His original replies were completely nasty and disrespectful. I guess someone finally educated him on appropriate business etiquette and basic manners. Listen Taulant, you really need to work on how you communicate with people. It's not just about the quality of your work, it's also about professionalism, respect, and the way you speak to customers. Just because a job is $325 instead of $13,000 doesn't mean you should brush people off or treat them like they're not important. You know exactly what happened here, so please don't try to play the victim. I'm not trying to hurt you or hurt your business, I'm trying to teach you an important lesson. I was actually trying to help you by referring business your way and putting money in your pocket, but instead you ignored the customer I referred to you and then brushed me off as well. That's not how you build or maintain a good reputation. You also can't say things to customers like "I don't trust your measurements" or act like you'll get to their job only when you feel like it because it's a smaller project. Every customer deserves respect and proper communication regardless of the size of the job. I will eventually delete the review because my intention is not to damage your business, but I hope you truly take this as a lesson learned moving forward. How you communicate with people matters just as much as the work itself.

We had a budget, and he helped us keep to it, but he really went above and beyond that. Other vendors told us there was no way to keep the 130 year window moldings, but Turab not only helped us keep them, but had so many neat tricks to improve our restoration project. Other vendors just gave us offers against our project scope, but Turab explained to us the dynamics of different windows in different parts of the house and what types worked best and saved us money. He made custom moldings for our cellar windows. He also helped us out to stop a fly tipping incident one day when we were out and not able to deal with it ourselves. And when it was pouring with rain and our basement flooded, he went outside and took a really long and hard look and told us what the problem was. We got it fixed the same weekend and never had issues since.

The job was projected to take 2 days, but they finished in 1, promptly starting at 7:30 am and not leaving until 7 that night. Crews kept moving in and out all day to do different parts of the job. I recently hired Ardmore Windows and Doors to replace 18 windows in my home, and while the sales…read moreprocess started off strong, the rest of the experience was incredibly disappointing. To begin with, the sales representative was punctual, knowledgeable, and thorough. He clearly explained all the window options and helped us choose the style we wanted. Unfortunately, that is where the professionalism ended. One of the most alarming issues occurred during installation: a window was either dropped or thrown from the second floor onto my front lawn, where it shattered. The crew made no attempt to clean it up. I only discovered the shards the next day while outside barefoot with my toddler. I spent hours picking up tiny pieces of glass myself. When I raised this with the project manager, he didn't apologize or show any concern--he simply offered $100 off for my "time." Beyond that, the overall project management and execution were riddled with issues. I had to review the order sheet at least ten times because the company repeatedly made mistakes--wrong quantities, wrong styles, wrong hardware. Even after all of that, the final order was still incorrect. I requested that the new windows match the existing styles (e.g., 6 over 1, 8 over 1), yet this was ignored, and we only realized the error during installation when it was too late to correct. They also installed two top sashes in one window and acted as if this was normal. Their explanation was that "owners ask for ridiculous things sometimes," so they didn't question it. This was the only window of the 18 installed incorrectly, yet I was the one who had to push to have it acknowledged. The hardware situation was equally unprofessional. They installed mismatched pieces--gold locks with nickel lifts--because the hardware we selected was "out of stock," but they never told us. When we asked for replacements, they simply handed me a catalog and told me to choose new ones, offering no guidance, even though only one alternative actually worked with the holes they had already drilled. Another major issue involved the window screens. I requested screens for all windows in the original estimate, and this was clearly documented. Despite that, no screens were installed. Their excuse was that "homeowners don't often want to open their windows." After the mistake was pointed out, they installed makeshift screens that don't fit properly and are extremely difficult to remove and replace--clearly not the correct screens for the windows we purchased. The job, which was supposed to take a few days, dragged on for weeks due to unfinished work, installation errors, and repeated reorders caused by their own mistakes. Some of the work is still unfinished. I would not recommend Ardmore Windows and Doors to anyone. Unless you want to act as your own project manager, clean up after the crew, and still end up with results that don't match what you paid tens of thousands of dollars for, look elsewhere.
