Leverage Medical Massage is great! I have had some back issues and went to Leverage Medical Massage and James listened to my concerns and provided a great massage. I could tell he is knowledgeable and skilled in his profession. During the massage he communicated well and reduced pressure on more sensitive areas of the back. Wish I could have experienced their service however scheduling was impossible. Groupon said to contact them by phone. This puts you to a voice mail. Left a voice mail- received a call 2 days later- VERY limited options presented. I was told I could schedule online to see all options as we couldn't find anything that worked over the phone. I did schedule online and even received an email confirmation with the date and time. Called to confirm my reservation in the morning as I was already skeptical about their scheduling. James is awesome! My range of motion and degree of pain limited my ability to do normal everyday chores. After just one session with James, I was able to raise my arms and extend them without pain! I wish I lived in Az because James would definitely be a regular 2-3 times a month visit! Also, there is less strain on my lower back and I am able to stand for a much longer period of time. All I have to say is WOW!! If you ever received a massage before then you know there are many different qualities of massage. This is one is definitely five star. I have been getting massages from James for the past 3 months. Each time I walk in and James ask me which area that I would like worked on, and then he goes to town on those particular areas. I play a lot of sports and am pretty hard on my body and each time I go and see James I leave feeling like a new man. I personally prefer the 90 minute massages and even then it seems like the time passes by way too fast. He uses fresh clean sheets each time and is an excellent conversationalist when you want to talk, or he is also great at just allow it to be quiet when you want to relax. Thank you so much James.. I have had many types of massages from practitioners all over the world yet Teka is the embodiment of the masseuse that I always imagined-she is able to make a quick assessment, put her hands a few places, and focus her efforts where they are needed. I started going to Touch of Life because of a need for lymphatic drainage massage. I was originally brought in by their new patient special, but I easily made the decision to purchase a package of massages by the excellent work she does and the very reasonable pricing. I have had the pleasure and therapeutic advantage of 90 minute massages which really allows Teka to work trouble spots. 90 minutes is a luxury and necessity that 60 minutes really does not allow. As my condition improved Teka was able to do much more rigorous and in-depth body work. This review could easily focus only on the fantastic massage experience, but Touch of Life is also an efficiently run business, staffed with pleasant employees, and conveniences like on-line appointment scheduling and modifications. They are also easily reached by text. You will be doing yourself a wonderful, pleasurable, therapeutic, favor by choosing Touch of Life Massage, in general, and Teka, in particular. Go there for a first massage, but especially go there if you have had many massages in the past that have just missed the mark by a bit. Give her the 90 minutes (but she can probably work mini-wonders in 60 minutes too) to be blown away by how delightful a massage can be! I have received three massages from Teka in the last couple of months. She is absolutely amazing. I have another massage scheduled for next week. After only a few sessions she has definitely become one of my favorite massage therapists, if not my favorite. She always takes a couple minutes before the massage to listen to your comments and concerns so that she can provide you with the most beneficial and optimal massage for the time you have together. She brings a lot of presence to her work and it is an honor to receive her healing touch. So many massage therapists I've had over the years, and oftentimes I find myself bothered afterwards that they didn't touch this spot or that spot, or do a certain technique. With Teka, she could spend the whole hour on a single limb and you would not have any regrets when it was over, except that you wished it was longer. The moment she enters back into the room and begins, she is immediately in her flow and I cannot believe just how quickly the hour goes by. She also gives you your money's worth, and massages for the FULL amount of time that you payed for, which I think is a highly respectable business practice. She usually does deep tissue on me which I never did much of before, but now I am learning to love the modality as her touch is gentle yet very firm. It is easy to see just how much Teka loves what she does, and when it's your turn on the table, she gives you her full undivided attention and energy. That is definitely my favorite part about my experiences with Teka. When somebody enjoys what they do and you are able to receive their gifts, what more can you ask for?
