It was a disaster, involving, among other things, a total lack of communication on their part. A year later, with the company claiming multiple failed attempts at recovery, I asked them to return the hard drive, and on the basis of excellent reviews, decided to take a chance with Utah Data Recovery, if for no other reason than to confirm my data was not recoverable. Within 24 hours, I had been contacted by UDR, who asked me to provide all the information I could on what had happened. They even tried multiple times (not surprisingly unsuccessfully) to contact the California company to try to ascertain what they had done to the drive. Within a couple of days, I received a detailed analysis and prognosis, and less than a week after receiving my drive, UDR had successfully recovered ALL of my data!
