He than followed me and the two bouncers outside calling me a liar and every other name in the book. It was so obvious that he knew the liquor was half water because the second I said something he wouldn't even talk to me about it and instead had me and my girl kicked out on the spot. I am the farthest thing from the type to write reviews like this, so for me to post this I would have to feel extremely snaked out. Moral of the story is if you don't want any of this to happen to you don't attend 117 lounge. Overall rating is a very generous 2/10

We were seated near the window, which provided a beautiful view of the river valley. The servers are very quick, professional, and friendly. I ordered a spiced orchard mule and truffle gouda fries. My drink was made with high quality ingredients and was flavourful. My fries were perfectly cooked- crisp and golden, and the gouda and truffle oil provided a rich flavour. I highly recommend this lounge for a relaxed, upscale experience.

It is lovely inside with fireplaces, comfortable couches and seating. Reminds me of an elegant cigar room. I would like to come here during the summer, because the patio has one of the best views of the river valley. Service was great. Our server came repeatily to make sure that we were comforable and happy with what we had ordered. A breakdown of what we had HEIRLOOM PUMPKIN SOUP - coconut cream, toasted pepitas, plantain chips ORGANIC SALMON - Pan seared salmon, Thai Laksa sauce, tiger prawns, tender bok choy, rice noodles, crushed nuts and NANAIMO BAR MARTINI Custard cream, coconut crumb, chocolate ganache inspired by the traditional Canadian dessert from Vancouver Island Food was delicous. The standout was the salmon. Delicous Laksa sauce. Absolutely beautiful. The Nanaimo bar martini was good, but extremely rich. I would say if you are not a huge sweet fan try something else. However, if you love chocolate, this one is for you. For us this was fairly pricey so it would be a once a year treat.

Service is friendly and fast and the space is lively without being overwhelming. Their food menu isn't the best if you have dietary limitations but there are still a couple vegetarian and gluten-friendly options. I had their caprese salad which was served deconstructed with microgreens and 2 different types of tomatoes. You can never go wrong with bocconcini cheese! As for drinks, they have some great happy hour specials and the house red wine was surprisingly drinkable. They also have an extensive cocktail list with their twists on the classics and a formidable whisky collection.

Went last Saturday to catch a friend's band play, and I'm so happy I did! It was a gorgeous day-- perfect for a patio sit, and lots of folks were all there for the same purpose, so it was super relaxed and chill. Our server, Mandy, was unrufflable and funny. The perfect server. The manager, David, is really great. Friendly and super welcoming, considering I'd only been once before. I noticed that he was attempting to change out the sandwich board for the band, so asked if I could help (ex art major, with a lot of typography experience). He was happy to let me. So that was fun. :) I had a couple beers and the Italian sausage flatbread pizza. OMG! SO good! And the prices were perfectly respectable. Definitely planning to make this place a regular stop on my relaxing/drinking/socializing rounds now.

Our server was friendly and fun. And she totally matched the atmosphere. Food menu is limited. I would like to see a few more selections particulary since they get their meat from Smoke next door. I went with the Zombie which was a flippin 4 oz. It was delicious. And well worth the price. To eat we tried the burnt ends, the fries, and the mac and cheese. Food came out slower than typical but it was a good use of our time to enjoy the space and our drinks. Food was good. For sure the burnt ends were the star of the show. But the mac and cheese was good and creamy and the fries were well flavoured and plentiful. Sliders were well constructed. come here for amazing drinks and snacks! And the food is an added bonus.

What a hoot! I had a smile on my face from the moment we walked in til we left. There's nothing like being time warped into the 1970s and watching old cartoons and advertisements on the TVs while eating your dinner or having a drink. Everything from the color scheme to the light fixtures to the trinkets collected behind the bar screams 1970s, and made for a fun, goofy, comforting nostalgia. We started with drinks at the bar while we waited for a table. They have a good selection of local brews as well as cocktails. Even the names of the drinks made me smile. I got the "dirty shiddy martini." Then we moved to our table in the "rumpus room." The menu is no-frills and straightforward. Not a ton of options, but you're there for a burger! They have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options to make everyone happy. We each got a burger Alabama style, split some fries with "flat sauce," and added a giant pickle on a stick for shids and giggles. Delicious, it all hit the spot! Staff is friendly and quick.
