Ther are many, many other things I could mention. The project took over eight months instead of the four promised, with work gaps of days and sometimes weeks. I met with the PM three times to create a timeline, but they fell behind every time. The only reason he gave was schedule conflicts with other jobs. One positive: Guillermo and Jose were responsive and fully guaranteed their work. They made sure I was satisfied with the end product before ending the project.

While the tile work turned out nicely, we had significant concerns about their knowledge of basic construction, plumbing, and building-code requirements. Two drains were initially installed using flexible accordion tubing and improper trap configurations. When we raised the issue, the contractor admitted they sometimes improperly install drains, stating that "usually no one cares." They initially proposed an S-trap, which is also not to code. To their credit, they ultimately corrected the plumbing at no additional cost. The framing was another major concern. Azores planned to cut through wall studs for recessed mirrors and niches without properly addressing the structural framing. The contractor admitted they were unfamiliar with the applicable building codes, and we ultimately had to properly frame two of the mirrors ourselves. We also have remaining issues we are addressing ourselves, including a shower handle that came off, a broken outlet that no longer fits properly, drywall damage around another outlet and paint around a fixture they replaced. I just did not expect to have to do this much myself. I'm not sure what value this company actually brought. Communication and oversight were also a concern. Azores was readily available during the first four weeks but became nearly nonexistent during the second four weeks, when many of these issues arose. We were also repeatedly contacted about our low-star review. We found it disappointing that so much attention was given to the review rather than ensuring the work on our home was completed correctly. I also seriously hope they will just leave us alone now. The tile looks nice, but a good finish does not make up for inadequate trade knowledge, planning, and oversight. I recommend that homeowners carefully evaluate Azores' construction expertise before hiring them.

We made an appointment to see my house and get an estimate , he never showed up, or called to cancel or apologized for not making the appointment we set and wasting my time . If he is this unreliable for a sales call, he won't be reliable enough to show up and finish the job. His response shows how unprofessional and unreliable he is . He could not reach out to me until I gave him a negative review. He had 4 days to tell me he had an emergency and couldn't show up. Only response was because of a bad review. Beware all .

With the exception of a materials delay, he met the initial timeframe on one and, due to the materials, finished the second only two days after timeframe but we were aware and okay with the extra time. Most days someone was here by 8 am. They worked most of the day, focused on details, and cleaned up before they left each day. Erick was always accessible answering or returning most calls within an hour. We agreed on a budget for both projects, we paid him as milestones were met, and his estimates were reasonable. We did supply sinks, tubs, faucets and tiles. All in all, we were very happy with our results. We would hire him again.

We were a little concerned about the leak so we reached out to our home insurance provider for help. After making a request for service we were paired with Paradigm Roofing. Ryan Bridges our point of contact reached out to us and was very prompt about setting a schedule to come out to see the leak. Ryan came out to our home on Christmas morning to do his assessment. He was quite friendly and explicitly clear about what he intended to do. I also particularly liked that he was genuinely conversational. During his visit Ryan did a thorough assessment of the damage both internally and externally. Earlier in 2024 we had experienced very heavy hail and we had damages that we were unaware of. Ryan's assessment provided details of all these damages including the primary reason we had requested service. At the end of his visit Ryan took the time to explain to us exactly what he had observed. He talked us through the next steps in the process and talked about what he intended to put in his report to our insurance provider. In the days that followed Ryan was very diligent about keeping us informed about his report and his communication with the insurance company. We really appreciated his soft touch since we were both very concerned about the cost of the repairs. After Ryan got word from the insurance pending their review of his report, he set up an in person meeting so he could walk us through everything. Ryan's preferred approach is to speak in person and he would drive almost 40 miles from his office to our home to come speak with us. This happened on several occasions. Ryan always provided detailed documentation and walked us through the figures for the scope of work, the different approaches and expected results. This level of detail made my wife and I feel very secure and sure about the decisions we were about to make. Before starting work on the roof we needed approvals from our HOA and needed to submit several documents specific to the scope of work. Ryan as always was keen and prompt in preparing those documents and getting them to us in a timely manner to file our application. Like the insurance report, we were approved immediately without any issues questions or concerns by our HOA. Ryan and his team were true to their word and schedule every step of the way. On the day of the repairs they promised to be at the house at the break of dawn and true to word they were. The team explained everything that was going to happen. They discussed safety and how they planned to approach everything and kept us informed every step of the way. They were also always available if we had questions. As promised the completed the full replacement of our roof along with all clean up on the same day. The entire service provided by Paradigm Roofing was truly exemplary! This was the best service I'd experience of this nature as a home owner ever! Long version: Scenario - It's a freezing (sub 40 degree) day in North Texas and I'm out of town on a business trip with my wife, son and mother-in-law at our home in Flower Mound. Wife calls and says the heater is not kicking on. She calls an HVAC company who comes by checks the heater in the attic and says, the unit is working however there is a pipe that vents through the roof of the attic that seems clogged or bent, but they don't do those type of repairs and she would need to call a roof company. Frantically, I scour Yelp for a good review and find people glowing about Bret's service and I give him a call. It's late in the day on Friday and when I explain the scenario, he immediately sprung into action and helped us resolve the issue. I'm going to highlight multiple reasons why Bret, owner of Texas Pride Roofing and Fencing will always have my business for roof and fence needs for as long as I live in the DFW metroplex. 1. Promptness - When I called Bret although it was later in the day, he was willing to head to our home and check out the situation, getting to our home in a couple of hours due to the severity of the situation. 2. Honesty - He took photos of the situation and gave a fair assessment of the situation. In this instance he said, "I don't have all of the parts that I need now but I can get you up an running for today, and then come back next week after I'm able to get the parts when I can get to a supply shop" 3. Thorough - He was on the roof, in the attic, and investigating the situation from every angle. Shared photos of his assessment, and was descriptive about what he was doing. 4. Genuine - The first time he came to the house, he hopped on FaceTime to talk to me and make me feel at ease with him at the house with my wife and family. You can look at someone's eyes and know that they are being sincere, that is this guy 100% 5. Follow up - It took him coming to the house a few times to get the situation completed, and I had to ask him for an amount that I owed him. He wanted to make sure that I was satisfied before asking for money. A true stand up guy, good business man, and yes, the roof is fixed, the exhaust pipe repaired, and the heat is working.
