We were blessed to be assigned Matthew H. to our job, and couldn't be more disappointed that we didn't go with these guys first. Matt arrived on time, communicated throughout the entire ordeal, spent over an hour looking over the roof, offered invaluable advice, and never disparaged the other company despite the COUNTLESS issues he uncovered. We are working on options to get our roof corrected and will absolutely call Firefighter Roofing if we're allowed to deviate from the original roofing company. There's nothing I appreciate more than people who carry themselves with character, respect, integrity, clear communication, and honest feedback. This roofing company has a good one in Matt H. and I wouldn't hesitate in letting his crew fix our roof. Stay blessed and good luck on your project if/when you decide to use this team. It is SO rare to find people like Jantzen in any sort of home services business. He is incredibly…read moreknowledgable and can be counted on to give HONEST advice and guidance. His pricing is incredibly fair, and he's never going to push you to spend money you don't need to spend. Jantzen has spent SO much time talking through various roofing issues with me over the years, and not once have I felt the least bit of pressure from him to make a sale. EXAMPLE: We recently had a contractor's crew working on a small addition to the house, and while they were on the roof, they told us the entire roof needed to be replaced. They texted me some photos they took of the roof while they were up there as "evidence." I sent the photos along to Jantzen, and he set up a call with me and spent the better part of an hour talking through his analysis of the roof based on both their photos and his experience being up on the roof itself in the past. With all that time and effort, you'd think he'd be pushing us to have him replace the roof, but he literally told me that we did NOT need to replace it at this stage. He just wanted to take the time to make sure I fully understood the state of the roof and his reasoning. This was consistent with every experience I've had talking with Jantzen about questions about our roof. He takes the time to talk through all issues in detail; you will never feel rushed or feel like he has more important places to be. He is really and truly dedicated to making sure that anyone he works with receives his full attention and the highest quality service. Attached are some photos of a repair he completed last week, removing an old vent that had started to leak into the attic and patching the roof over the spot where it was. You can see how tidy and organized the work is. I didn't even ask him for step-by-step photos, but that's the sort of attention to detail you get with Jantzen. He knows we can't tell what's under the shingles, so this way we know exactly what was done. Again, his honesty is so refreshing in the home services world. I trust Jantzen completely with all roofing needs, and over the years, none of the work he's done has ever failed or needed to be redone. I can't imagine anyone who's worked with him would have anything but positive things to say about him. I will never work with any other roofing company as long as I own a house! If you've stumbled upon this Yelp page, this is the end of your roofing search, I promise.

Long version: Scenario - It's a freezing (sub 40 degree) day in North Texas and I'm out of town on a business trip with my wife, son and mother-in-law at our home in Flower Mound. Wife calls and says the heater is not kicking on. She calls an HVAC company who comes by checks the heater in the attic and says, the unit is working however there is a pipe that vents through the roof of the attic that seems clogged or bent, but they don't do those type of repairs and she would need to call a roof company. Frantically, I scour Yelp for a good review and find people glowing about Bret's service and I give him a call. It's late in the day on Friday and when I explain the scenario, he immediately sprung into action and helped us resolve the issue. I'm going to highlight multiple reasons why Bret, owner of Texas Pride Roofing and Fencing will always have my business for roof and fence needs for as long as I live in the DFW metroplex. 1. Promptness - When I called Bret although it was later in the day, he was willing to head to our home and check out the situation, getting to our home in a couple of hours due to the severity of the situation. 2. Honesty - He took photos of the situation and gave a fair assessment of the situation. In this instance he said, "I don't have all of the parts that I need now but I can get you up an running for today, and then come back next week after I'm able to get the parts when I can get to a supply shop" 3. Thorough - He was on the roof, in the attic, and investigating the situation from every angle. Shared photos of his assessment, and was descriptive about what he was doing. 4. Genuine - The first time he came to the house, he hopped on FaceTime to talk to me and make me feel at ease with him at the house with my wife and family. You can look at someone's eyes and know that they are being sincere, that is this guy 100% 5. Follow up - It took him coming to the house a few times to get the situation completed, and I had to ask him for an amount that I owed him. He wanted to make sure that I was satisfied before asking for money. A true stand up guy, good business man, and yes, the roof is fixed, the exhaust pipe repaired, and the heat is working. These are all pictures that Bret provided, the first four (4) showing the problem and the last two (2) showing the repaired duct work and exhaust/vent pipe Although this was not a typical roofing job, Bret went above and beyond to make sure our family was warm and comfortable. Thank you Bret, and Texas Pride Roofing and Fencing.
