I love tapas restaurants so I was very excited to try multiple dishes. I love that the bread came with honey as well as olive oil. That was a nice touch. Our first order was the corn ravioli. Amazing!! The creaminess of the corn stuffing mixed with the melt in your mouth pasta was 10 out of 10. I would have a hard time not ordering this every time. My friend ordered the chicken skewers. I found them to be simple but exactly what she ordered. I didn't care to finish them and wanted to save room for a different option. I got the veal empanada and it was delicious. The empanada shell was the perfect consistentcy. It was stuffed with a lot of tender veal. The sauce was drinkable. Since I didn't help with the chicken, my friend was full so that was the end of our meal. I highly recommend others check out this spot!

We made online dinner reservations here for our first night in Lisbon with high hopes of being able to make it til 8pm. HA! Luckily, they took pity on us when we showed up around 6:30. Servers were super friendly and helpful. I was so relieved when they greeted us in English - - my attempt at learning at least some Portuguese failed miserably. They sat us at a table right in the front window. They had a nice cocktail menu - - so we started with the ginjinha cocktail - - so refreshing. Nice sized menu with something for everyone. We ordered a few dishes to share - - all seafood and so delicious. Bathroom is in the back by the kitchen. No problem paying by credit card.

Hot figs with prosciutto, arugula and buffalo mozzarella was our second dish and was another pleasant surprise with this combination. So good. The service was very good and the staff was very friendly. We definitely recommend this restaurant as a consideration for dinner while in Lisbon.

Watching the chefs in their element preparing the dishes was so cool; for such a tight space, they were a well-oiled machine. Here were my favorites: 1. The tomato soup with egg. So, so simple, with only two main ingredients, but perfectly executed. I'll need to try making this at home with the immersion blender. 2. Pan con tomato with jamón ibérico. I'm sitting here writing this review and crying a little on the inside that we in the States don't have such easy access to quality ingredients to make such a stand-out dish. Grilled bread, tomato spread, and the best jamón I've ever tasted. This was an order we added at the very end and I'm glad we did. 3. The sweet rice pudding with cinnamon ice cream and toasted rice krispies on top. I was almost too full to function by this point but still made room to demolish this dessert. We also got the grouper stew, which was pretty good, but at that point, I had basically gotten the same dish multiple times and this one didn't particularly stand out. Definitely make reservations! There are two seats on the street but I personally wouldn't want to sit there as there's a ton of foot traffic in the area (plus the cars drive pretty close too so you're also breathing in fumes and exhaust). A perfect dinner in Lisbon: oysters at Rosamar one street over and then some tapas and drinks at Tapisco.

The tapas are innovative, flavorful but true to both Spanish and Portuguese cuisine. Our favorites tonight were the tuna tartare, mussels, roasted pork with purred eggplant and veggies. Having our fill of seafood on this trip, my wife was looking for chicken and found it here. I went with a francesinha sandwich to change things up. The grilled chicken was well prepared with a wine reduction sauce and came with roasted vegetables as well. Never seem to get enough vegetables when traveling but this dish filled my wife's daily quota. This was my first try at this traditional Portuguese sandwich and I liked it. It was served drowning in a sauce but I managed to sop it all up by the end. Our server was excellent all evening and keep us taken care of. He was a bit of a talker which played well with my wife's chattiness. Overall a straight forward simple dinner that was quite enjoyable.

The have a big outdoor seating space on the street that is closed off to cars. They also have small indoor seating, but I recommend the outdoor space. They even provide blankets in case you feel chilly. Their 15 Euros wine flights came with 3 large glasses of wine. In America we would only be able to get small sample wine flights for that same amount of money. Not to mention, the wine was top quality and worth far more. Now, the food... let's talk about food... Ahhh-may-zzzzing!! The Chorizo & Sheep Cheese Bruschetta paired perfectly with the wines. I could have eaten that every day and all day long! The Roasted Tuna and Hummus appetizer had great flavor, but it did not come with bread or crackets. I found that a little strange... I mean, what do you put the tuna and hummus on? I guess you eat it with a fork as is? NO. Order bread on the side. Just because. Our server was very friendly, was very knowledgeable about the wines and the regions, and spoke at least 3 languages that I know of (Portuguese, Spanish, and English). Unfortunately, the service was very slow, but this seems to be common in Lisbon. We had to wait a while for our Wine Flight then even longer for the 1st appetizer to arrive. We were in no rush and just enjoying the evening, so we don't mind the wait as long as the server is friendly and the wine/food is delicious (which they were). I would have liked to give 5 stars, but the service was very slow.

I ordered the Sea Bass and it was served butterfly style and chargrilled (not breaded) and it was perfectly seasoned and even though she brought oil and vinegar to the table it was really not needed for the fish. The little burst potatoes were cooked just right as well - sometimes potatoes get dry when cooking --- Portugal has this absolutely figured out. And last but 100% not least - this was the best Sangria my husband and I have ever had. I'm going to recommend to our travel coordinator to add this restaurant to the Google map recommendations list because more people need to go to this place - they need more tables, more space, because I'm convinced this is such a hidden gem that should be exposed to the masses to enjoy! We visited several wineries and this restaurant had the best wine - bar none! The fish, a fish I hadn't tried before, was deliciously seasoned, falls apart with the fork, the creamy rice was just divine. I normally will never eat little cherry/grape tomatoes - ever - but the perfect bite of fish, creamy rice, and a tomato was... perfection.
