I went to the Easton store to speak to a manager and none on site on Sunday and I was assured a manager would contact me. it is 15 days later and no contact from Boss Gal to even inquire if I am ok and how my skin is healing. This was my first time at Massage Envy for a massage. I arrived 10 mins early, as I knew that I had paperwork to fill out. I did and was seated in the Tranquility Room at least 5 minutes before my service. The front desk woman was prompt in assisting me and getting me seated, so kudos to her. But after waiting 8 minutes for my massage therapist, I realized that my front desk experience was as positive as it would get. My therapist finally arrived and took me to the room. She asked if I wanted only upper back/shoulders (as I indicated when I booked the massage via the app and again on the ipad they gave me) or if I wanted full body. I hesitated, and she said "Or we can just get to the rest if we have time." So I said okay, I guess so. I just assumed that if I put a select area, that's what would get worked on and I felt a little pushed into something I wasn't particularly there for. I did indicate on the body map on the ipad that legs were okay, but I did not indicate arms. I made sure to look at the clock before we started because I was starting to realize that I may not get what I was paying for. We started 10 mins late. When I booked the appointment, I'd also indicated I wanted the aromatherapy option (I don't treat myself often!) so I was really excited for that. I didn't know at what part in the process that would occur, which is why I didn't say anything during. She ended up massaging my arms in between my shoulders and my back, and at that point I realized it was all a lost cause. Then when she said we were done and left, I looked at the clock. We'd finished 5 mins early. What a disappointment. She commented on the knots in my back and hoped I'd find some relief as she walked me out front. I told the woman at the desk about the aromatherapy, because I wasn't sold on getting charged for something I didn't get. The upside is I received the first time fee of $55 massage, so at least I wasn't out a huge chunk of money as originally anticipated (hour massages are $95). Giving 2 stars because I don't feel the front desk receptionist is at fault. I just don't understand why I filled out the ipad of preferences, it was given to the therapist and placed in the room, and yet the information on it was disregarded. I guess I just have felt like people care more at other places about why you're there, what you're feeling, etc. She did a good job getting some of my knots out but boy was I sore for two days afterwards (I think this is good but I'm not sure anymore).

My wife scheduled an appointment for me 6 weeks in advance - they cancelled it on the day of and couldn't offer a reschedule. They appear to have WAY too many active members compared to the appointments available. Scheduling even on weekday middays is very difficult, and if you actually have a job and need an appointment outside of 9-5 work hours - forget it. If they sell more memberships knowing how far behind they are - seems like fraud to me.

I've found other places that specialize in hair removal can be impersonal and kind of scary, but I always feel incredibly at ease here.
