I've been thinking about trying acupuncture for some time now. After reading about potential benefits and knowing that occasionally I like to do something new, I decided to give it a try.
I found Lauren Leung's information online, gave her a call, and within hours I had an initial appointment. When I make up my mind about trying something, I like to get it right then and not have to wait. This was a plus! The initial appointment was 1.5 hours and $85. Each appointment after that is an hour long and only $65.
I had to fill out some paperwork when I got there and then she went over with me...and then came the needles. She didn't talk much, unless I asked questions, so if you want to be an educated consumer you better speak up. The needles didn't hurt, but I sure was nervous at first. Each time one went in it felt like a tiny pinch and then it went away.
I'm not sure if it was because I was in a quiet room lying down for over an hour or due to the acupuncture or a combination of both, but I did leave feeling a bit relaxed and stress-free. Overall, it was a great experience. By the way, she is a certified herbalist. I'm not sure what that means or what she does with the herbs (because it wasn't in my treatment), but it sounds kind of cool. read more
