He was the only kid on the track and the track operator took an immense amount time patiently trying to show my son how to drive the kart. So cool to have a spot like this nearby. Great dart/rival play for kids and adults. The staff were…read moreall very friendly and the facility is clean and easy to navigate. The game area can supposedly handle 20v20 and it was quite spacious and fun with the variety of inflatable barriers. Pricing seemed fair as well. I do have a few points of feedback that I hope will get implemented: First, they give you the option of paying an extra $5 for better blasters, or $10 extra to rent automatic Rival blasters that can hold 200 rounds and almost fire across the whole battlefield. This potentially makes battles VERY lopsided if you have teams loaded up on Rival blasters vs traditional/standard dart blasters. Felt like pay to win. Second, I hope they consider dart only or Rival only options for battles. Evens the playing field. Rivals shoot at ~100FPS and more than doubles the range of most of these dart blasters. Modified blasters are not allowed which I totally agree with, but also that should be made clearer for all on their website and during registration. Lastly, blaster safety was not really taught and rules rarely enforced. Kids were firing off their weapons in safe zones where goggles were off and no one said anything. Barrels were aimed at faces and ricochets from misfires were frequent in the safe areas. It's a lot to manage I get it... but again I'd love to see the same awesome staff enforce stricter rules around blaster safety. Oh also they need to Velcro down the barriers! They fell over too easily. All in all this place is great taking into account the things mentioned. Not sure we'd come back since a few in our party felt it was too lopsided during our session.

We'll be signing up for a week of regular Avid camp later this summer.

Never once have they been playing a game during down time, the counselors seem very overwhelmed and inexperience. We have been to the camps before, but this year it was beyond disappointing. Our daughter is enrolled in the 2-week camp: 7/26 - 8/6 and we have to tell you how disappointing this week has been. First of all, the counsellors are great and Grey really liked them - we have no complaints there. We want to bring to your attention just how the kids spent the week: Day 1: they went canoeing in a lake where the water is so filthy and toxic that the kids were told they could not get in the water at all and to make sure the water didn't go near their mouths as they would get extremely sick. Day 2: they went on a bike ride and were taken to a trail that was completely exposed and offered no shade. Ultimately, they could only ride for 30+ minutes before they had to call it quits as the kids were overheating. When the 100+ degree weather is taken into consideration, this seems like a ridiculous activity and a poor choice of bike path. Apparently they spend most of the day sitting under a tree to escape the heat. Day 3: a hike was planned but apparently one of the kids forgot their medication so once at their destination, they all sat around and waited over an hour for the child's mother to arrive with the medication. Once that was over they "hiked" for literally 20 minutes before loading up and driving back. Day 4: this was another water day an equally filthy lake. Even though the temperature was over 100 degrees, they couldn't jump in the lake. Day 5: this was the only day our daughter enjoyed because they finally went to a lake where they could jump in the water. When one takes into account the $100/day price tag we pay for your camp to show our children the kind of summertime outdoor adventures we as parents would have enjoyed taking them on ourselves, it seems as though all we paid for in the end was an elaborate daycare.
