I was in love with the venue, but a bit nervous as you have to bring everything in, so it had a lot more logistics to it. Working with Emily made it a breeze. She made sure all of our vendors were in sync (Catering, Rentals, Liquor, Florals, DJ, Transportation, Photographer, etc. etc.), and seeing that put my mind at ease. The entire process was smooth - we had regular communications to ensure everything was moving along as needed, and day-of went perfectly. We didn't have to worry about a thing and many of our guests said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended. Highly highly recommend working with Emily for your wedding!!!

We had a bad experience with Tiffani, and would not recommend her to anyone. Although she's very…read moresweet and seems well-intentioned, her inability to effectively communicate with us and general inattentiveness became so extreme that we were forced to let her go months before the wedding and find someone else. She would promise things by a certain time (venue or catering options, schedules, etc), and then not deliver them. Emails and phone calls from us would regularly go unreturned, often for weeks. We were never given a timetable of any kind, despite asking. She was not proactive about checking up on us. Everything felt like pulling teeth. She presented options for venues, bakeries, etc without first checking if they met clear requirements that we had set forth. Ultimately we ended up finding everything ourselves through our own research and external recommendations. Through all this, we kept forgiving her, because she was juggling a new full-time job and her price was really good, and she was always very sweet. We kept giving her another chance, and on at least two occasions talked to her about being better about the communication. We understood that she was busy and some texts/emails aren't urgent, but after weeks would go by without her even bothering to say "Hey I'm really busy but I'll get back to you soon," and multiple attempts to reach her failed, we had lost confidence that she would be able to handle our wedding without us having to worry about it. We were already doing almost everything ourselves, and we really didn't want that as the wedding got closer. Eventually we had had enough and decided it wasn't working out. When we told her we no longer wished to use her services, she seemed oddly surprised, as if all of the times we'd raised our concerns with her and all the times she'd promised to do better had fallen on deaf ears. We then let her know that we wanted half of the money we'd paid her up front returned to us, and she just never wrote back. We tried again, and even got a lawyer involved, threatening her with small claims court. Absolutely no response whatsoever. It's a very, very odd situation, and I really can't even begin to think what was going on in her mind to behave this way. So no, under absolutely no circumstances would we ever recommend her. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Trust me, I'm probably the hardest client to deal with because I'm a perfectionist and I love to control every move. Overall, the wedding process was great and our day was fantastic. My wife to be and myself had none of that. We didn't even know what Pinterest was before we started planning. On top of that, we were both working in Europe until 3 days before our wedding date and flying back out 2 days after. We were a little freaked out and had no clue where to start. We talked to several different wedding planners, but we loved Vai and Sotiare Event Planning. Vai had amazing modern taste that helped us make our wedding unique and personal. She helped guide us through every step and made us feel confidant in every decision we made. In the planning stages, Vai helped created a timeline and a list of all the things to be done. Since the Internet is a pit of over priced information we also relied on her experience and relationships with different vendors to get us started. Vai was extremely accessible for questions, even the goofy ones like, "Do you think that is cool?" or "Should we go with the fold or triangle napkin?" She was always extremely knowledge and helpful. On our big day Vai seamlessly coordinated every aspect of the wedding from dealing with the venue and vendors to making sure my mom from Iowa knew her seat. She made sure everything was where it should be, when it should be, and how it should be, just like we planned. The most important thing that Vai did was that she made sure we had a great time. That we were able to live every moment of a day that went by in a blink of an eye. For that, we are forever grateful, because it was the most special day of our lives. Post wedding Vai made sure we had all of our belongings and even helped us follow up with our vendors about final details. The long and short of it is, our wedding was better then we could have ever dreamed it could be. We thank and highly recommend Vai and Sotiare Event Planning!

This was mostly all in our head or scribbled out on loose sheets of paper. I had a wild idea about building a pool bridge to create more seating real estate for the ceremony. As well I wanted to do everything myself. Vai came in and gave us realistic timelines and organizational skills that was absolutely necessary to make everything happen. We sat down and discussed all the details we had envisioned. Vai took notes during the meeting and typed everything up and emailed it over. This was monumental. We finally had everything typed out so we can see all the elements we needed. Vai is phenomenal with staying on task and guiding us to solutions. I was offered a good deal on some chairs from our vendor and when I showed them to Vai she asked if we were curious about what was current. Yes yes yes So happy she has this knowledge because the chairs that she suggested were not only current but looked perfect. She has many years of experience planning events as well as plenty of visual references and visual inspiration images that suited our vibe. From flower arrangements to table dressing, wedding dresses to honeymoon destinations, djs wedding entertainment, catering ideas and all. Vai has you covered. Work started to get very hectic at the least opportune moments when the emails had to be sent out etc. Vai made herself completely available and would always make time to come by for a few hours so we could get the help we needed simply sending out the emails to the guests and checking in on our to do list. She kept us sane on stressful days by being diligent and kind working efficiently and being thorough. She had spreadsheets filled with information and everything was always extremely organized and clear. Vai handled contacting all our vendors and made sure everything would run smooth day of. She suggested her assistant also help out day of and we were so thankful because it was so nice to have someone tending to both of us keeping us on time and making sure we were where we needed to be when we needed to be there. Vai has such a lovely presence. She warmly invites people to take their seats or join us for our first dance during all events through the day into the evening she was amazing. She was like a mind reader I would think "oh I need a straw" and she would literally be right behind me handing me one. At any moment if we needed her and said her name she would instantly smile and help us right along. She managed paying all our vendors. We let her know where The cash was and she was seamless everything was logged and balanced and perfect. Vai is absolutely amazing and she really cares so much about making sure we enjoyed our special day to the fullest. We are so happy that she is who she is and does what she does. She really helped to make our wedding the most beautiful special lovely day ever. Thank you Vai we appreciate you so much!!!!
