I had Ron as my emcee (works on Chinese radio too AM1430) and Adrian as my DJ. Guys were great, very funny and easy-going. I had some pretty weird requests for songs and they were very accomodating, same goes for all the last minute changes too (up until the day of the wedding!). We, the couple, disappeared most of the time (me changing into my 3 outfits, groom: got drunk and passed out, tsk tsk) but they kept everyone entertained; all my guests said they had a blast. They had some fun ideas for the games as well, had ideas for the couple and for guests. Guests also said they played great music for the dance floor. I wanted to give the older folks some dance floor time too and Adrian's idea was to start by playing the ballroom/oldies songs (yes, older folks love their ballroom moves!), then progressively play more modern/pop music, makes sense to me but I wouldn't have thought of it! He helps to edit your songs for your first dance as well, no charge, that was nice! And they just need a deposit, remaining balance paid after the event, so you know they will deliver! Adrian and Wasabi did an incredible job at our wedding, and were a true pleasure to work with throughout the entire experience. From the ease of setting up a meeting, to the quick replies over email, to their ideas of what to incorporate into our reception, to the amazing job that they did with the event itself, everything went smoothly. We had a combination American/Chinese (Cantonese) reception, and they pulled it off seamlessly. Wasabi is absolutely great in both the English and Cantonese, which is hard to find. Usually one or the other is pretty weak, but she was perfect at both. Everyone had great things to say about her afterwards, from both sides of the aisle (our side and the parents' side). She even helped guide us and move us along during the table-to-table toast, which was very helpful in moving the night along. She really is great at moving everything along and keeping a good pace throughout the whole event. Adrian did a great job as the DJ too. We enjoyed his music choices, and he incorporated everything that we asked for. He's approachable, easy to work with, and really knows his stuff. Hiring Adrian and Wasabi was the best choice that we made for our wedding. We were dealing with probably a dozen different vendors for different things, and quite a few of them were either difficult to deal with or they tried to rip us off, or were just plain bad. They were so well-versed in traditional Chinese weddings that they were able to put my mind at ease and help me construct the reception timeline. As a bride, you can use all the help you can get! This is a super late review lol I got married November 2017. We started emailing Adrian for quotes and packages around April or May 2017. He responded really quick and was very informative about the packages and their prices. We got the video/photo for 8hrs - which covers the getting ready part, ceremony and reception. When we met for the first time, he told me about his background, how long he was doing this for and showed me photos on instagram and I was sold. I signed the contract right there to secure him for our wedding day. He was so sweet to give us a free prenup photo session so he could know me and my husband more but we had already done a photoshoot for save the dates already with a different photographer. He was very nice and accommodating, very professional and made the whole planning process easy. He was very pleasant to work with. The few weeks before the wedding, he was in touch with my caterer, DJ and planner coordinating the timeline etc. On the day of the wedding, our meeting time was at 2pm and he showed up way earlier that so he can check out the place and get me and my bridesmaids ready. There was one guy with him in our bridal suite at the venue and 2 more people at the hotel doing the shoot with my husband and the groomsmen. He was instructing us on the poses and telling us what to expect. He made us very comfortable and made the shoot super fun. At one point, me and my husband were already getting tired of smiling because he was taking a lot of photos lol but of course it is a good thing. Fast forward a month from our wedding day, we got the link to the video highlight of our wedding. It was 7mins long and everybody - our family and friends loved it. I have been told that it was so nicely done and they could tell that a lot of hard work was put in to it. I think two weeks after that, we got the link to the photos and we had like 1400 photos taken for 8hrs lol About 3 weeks ago, I finally got my photo album with 80 photos in it. The album cover was made out of acrylic I think? so it was extra heavy lol The album turned out very nice, the photos were laid out in a way that it was telling you a story. It was so hard to select the 80 from the 1400 because they were all so beautiful. I also got 2 blue ray discs with our wedding video in it that were divided in to segments - bride getting ready, groom getting ready, toasts, the ceremony, the reception etc. I was soooooo happy and of course got teary eyed after watching for how it turned out. The quality of the video and the sounds were great, it was like really reliving that special day. I also got a very pretty flash drive - I think also made with acrylic? with all of my 1400 photos in it I would like to say thank you again to Adrian and the crew for making our special day extra special. We had Adrian as MC and Mizo as DJ for our wedding reception. They were both super nice and fun to work with, and very accommodating for our special requests. Per Chinese wedding tradition, we had a few video clips and slideshows to play during reception, and Adrian worked hard with us for weeks leading up to the wedding to download, test, and perfect everything. We also wanted to practice our dance and singing prior to guest arrival, so Adrian and Mizo did us a huge favor of coming extra early to set up. The only little glitch we had was our photo slideshow kept on freezing for some weird reason, but Adrian was so great at entertaining the guests for the rest of the night that nobody remembered that glitch at the end of the day. In addition to MCing, Adrian really went above and beyond expectations to showcase his absolutely amazing dancing and singing skills during our mini-games and at the end of the night, which really boosted the overall excitement level of the event. One of my best friends attended a coworker's wedding and told me how great Adrian was as an MC. So i got his contact, we set up a meeting with Adrian, and booked him that day. PRICE: Very reasonable! SERVICE: Adrian gave EXCELLENT service and went above and beyond what we expected from him. He was very flexible, helpful, and just great at what he does. COMMUNICATION: Adrian was very prompt with his emails! Also, he was very responsive to my VERY LAST MINUTE changes to my day of time line! OVERALL: I would definitely refer Adrian to others! Why? -Many of my guests told me that they loved Adrian and thought he was REALLY GOOD (even my non-English dad)!!! -My guests had so much fun laughing and playing the games! This is my first yelp review because I would like to say a Million Thanks to Mr. Adrian Ong and to his team. Planning a wedding is a no easy task, even more so, if the wedding will take place for about 6 hour drive from where you live. I and my now husband lives in San Francisco and had our wedding in Los Angeles. With no wedding coordinator, we just relied on yelp and other sources to find our "dream team". Adrian is very responsive in emails and very considerate to talk to us via computer when we cannot travel to Los Angeles to discuss details about the wedding. Adrian and Let's Make A Memory team made our wedding last Saturday (3-14-15) truly memorable. He and his video team did a superb job compiling and editing our same day edit video. They are very creative. The end result of the green screen idea was beyond our imagination, not to mention the aerial shots they did. Adrian also provided our entertainment for the wedding and he really delivers. Everybody enjoyed the reception. All ages and generation were entertained and danced until we are ready to go. Let's Make A Memory team is incredibly awesome! Most of my guests thought we hired a wedding coordinator because of how the night turned out. From the very first day my wife and I met Adrian and Jeannie to discuss Lets Make a Memories' services, we were very pleased with their extreme friendliness and professionalism. We did can honestly say that we don't have one single bad thing to say about them! They were a pleasure to work with for the entire process from beginning to end! Adrian and Jeannie made us feel like we were the only wedding party they were working with. They have outstanding attention to detail. They took notes for all of our meetings and wrote down everything we told them. They cared about what we wanted and they captured our vision perfectly. Adrian and his photographers did our engagement photos. They were very accommodating and allowed us to go to multiple locations. We photographed almost an entire day, and although I wasn't very enthusiastic about it Adrian made it smooth and fun. In advance, Adrian suggested some clothing and props for us to use that would help with the photography session. In the end, the photos turned out great and they captured our theme/vision perfectly. The wedding went flawlessly. Adrian's camera crew (photographers/videographers) were barely noticeable. They moved quickly and were never in the way. They were prompt and early for each event (Chinese Tea Ceremony in the AM, western ceremony in the PM, and reception in the evening). They worked a 14+ hr day for us! They were definitely troopers. At the reception Adrian played every song we specifically requested and none of the songs on our "no-play" list. He did an excellent job mixing music and ensuring each song was cued at exactly the right moment (cake cutting song, garter toss song, etc). Jeannie was our Cantonese/English MC, and she was absolutely wonderful. We've been to a few Chinese weddings and most of the time the MC was terrible! Jeannie is young, vibrant and hip - so she can relate with the younger crowd when it comes to games and keeping the guest involved and entertained. Her English is excellent, as well as her Cantonese. So all of our guest were able to understand the MC clearly and had a great time. Jeannie had a lot of fun games that got our guest involved. The games got a lot of laughs as well. Adrian was able to give us our wedding photos in a timely manner - we got CD's with our wedding photos within 2 months after the wedding. To top it off, Lets Make A Memory has very competitive pricing for the service they provide. We tried to price everything with a DJ, MC, and photographers from different venders and it was much more expensive than going with Lets Make a Memory package deal.
