I have made several complaints along official regulatory channels both in the US and in Canada, including the State Attorney General that confirmed a case of fraudulent practices. However, one needs to hire an attorney to get the actual resolution. PODS policy is deny, deny, deny. I have two different versions of where my goods ended up - two cities hours apart. It remains a disturbing nightmare and I still don't have the contents after 2.5 years. If allowed, I would give PODS a rating of minus 5 stars. I would recommend avoiding PODS at all costs. CanAm

This is the worst experience we've ever had with a mover (and we have moved a few times), and the people you deal with for claims were not helpful at all. They damaged our Sofa and brought in people to try to repair it and then told us nothing more could be done. They damaged a bunch of other things and because we didn't claim it all in a bunch we lost the ability to claim anything and get any money back for the garbage job that they did. We found out that they dropped stuff in a warehouse and then repacked another truck and this is potentially where our sofa and other things were damaged. Please don't waste your money. It is ridiculously expensive and in the end they loved to wash their hands clean of the mess they made.

Horrible Company - Do not use…read more I have no idea where to begin. This was the most horrifying experience I've ever had and I have gone through Office moves. I even move to a different province with less stress. Young inexperienced movers. They were very nice and polite but had no idea how to move furniture, we had to help with several items. No moving equipment like moving belts. They did have a dolly which wasn't much help getting things up and down the stairs. They spent more time looking things over and scratching their heads wondering how to move items then they did actually moving them. That probably explains the extra 2 hours it took to move just beds, dressers and living room furniture. Thankfully, we had already moved all the boxes and smaller items ourselves. I can't even imagine how long it would have taken them if we had not done that. I had to remind them several times to wrap furniture with blankets and NOT put packing tape on wood. They broke a piece of glass on a cabinet. I sent them an email with pictures as instructed, they said I would hear back in two weeks....It's been 3 months with no response. I have followed up with several emails that have gone unanswered. I called and the person that answers the phone is only able to book moves, she can't provide any information to reach anyone else within the company. Sounds pretty shady to me. Wish I had known that before booking.

The second one wanted me to provide a detailed list of items to move - instead of coming to see us and providing a quote. And the third one - Top Notch (Marc the owner) - contacted us quickly and setup a day/time to come and talk to us, and assess clearly what needed doing. Marc showed up and I liked his honest approach immediately. He was very upfront, took notice of special items, asked many questions and told us, with great sincerity, how great his team was. I knew from that meeting that I would go with Marc. Moving day came - and - due to pretty severe illness 1 week prior to our move - we were behind on our packing. Marc and his team were wonderful and got us moved regardless. His team was fabulous: friendly, happy, fast, efficient, and careful. We really enjoyed dealing with them. I had a number of precious pieces of furniture that they were very aware of and very careful with. (Note: I had gotten appraisals and purchased insurance via Top Notch for these items and this is an important step, as the standard move insurance is by the pound and will not come close to covering actual replacement costs for anything of any value.) It was all moved without incident. I enjoyed listening/watching them work. They worked/communicated as a team, and moved with quiet efficiency. Really, I can't say enough good things about our experience.
