I am so happy I hired this company, and I will definitely hire them again! I purchased three large pieces of furniture from a small store that did not have their own delivery service. This was one of the only companies that actually got back to me, most moving companies couldn't be bothered or said I had to pay them for four hours of labour, even though this job would take far less time and they could likely fit other jobs in the same day. We corresponded by email for a few weeks because my furniture was being shipped to Ottawa from Halifax and they couldn't be sure of the exact date until closer to when it would arrive. 2G&CV kindly re-assured me that they would do their best to fit me in and emailed me to check in and see how things were going. Once my furniture arrived, they fit me in on less than a week's notice. The day before they were supposed to do the delivery they had some changes in their schedule and offered me new delivery time options. When they arrived to my apartment downtown, they were extremely friendly, and efficient. it probably took under 20 minutes to unload everything from their truck and get it up to my apartment, and they event put the pieces where I requested them. While we were moving things around, I had the opportunity to chat with them a little bit and found out that they are a small, family-run business and have been doing this for around a year. All I can say is keep up the great work and the kind personality. I was so happy to be greeted by a smiling face, and the thank you letter is truly a special touch. I also appreciated that they told me how my pieces were stored at the shop. My items were boxed, and the boxes showed the proper way up, but one of them (which has lots of glass) was upside down. This information would have been very useful if it came out of the box damaged. All in all, this was a small job, but I will definitely be keeping one of their business cards for when I inevitably have to move. I would 100% recommend them for anything, especially the smaller jobs because the price was reasonable and they didn't make it sound like it was a huge inconvenience like other businesses do. These guys are amazing! I could not be happier with how my move went. Everything arrived in perfect condition and was expertly and carefully unloaded. They even helped me arrange and re-arrange furniture as part of the off-load! Andrew is a van-packing genius! I had so much excess stuff, I never believed it would all fit in the truck. On top of that I had them make an extra stop en-route to pick up a bunch of additional items. He couldn't see ahead of time what the items were, their dimensions or exactly the total volume. Yet he was able to configure everything to fit snugly and arrive safely. And Josh, wow! Talk about dedication. He had seriously hurt his hand only a few days prior but he showed up anyway! He couldn't manage a ton, but he was helping out all over. To fill the gap, they had lined up another mover--D.H.--who was just as hard-working and positive as the others. So I actually ended up with 2 1/2 Guys And A Cube Van!! A thoroughly positive experience from start to finish. These guys took all my worries away and delivered ridiculous value for the money. Two guys and a cube van came highly recommended by friends. I completely understand why! At my request, Andrew met with me a week before the scheduled move to see if they were in a position to move our piano. He was very honest and said they likely wouldn't be able to do it. This gave me enough time to book piano movers. I appreciated the honesty, because it showed that this company cared more about my piano being moved safely than making extra money. The day of the move, Andrew and Jordan moved all the furniture out of the old house, taking great care not to hit or scratch any of the recently painted walls. When they arrived at the new house, they placed all the furniture and boxes into the appropriate rooms, again taking great care not to damage any walls, floors or the furniture being moved. I was helped move by Andrew and DH, and the service was absolutely impeccable. Despite having to deal with a three-story walk-up and a number of large items the job was done quickly and efficiently. I was blown away by how friendly, professional, and efficient they were, and the quote we received was lower than every other company we spoke to. Even more amazing is that I had an afternoon move, but they called me that morning to tell me that their other job was going faster than they anticipated and offered to come even earlier. I was trapped in a one-person apartment with two people's stuff, and I cannot express how pleased I was to be able to get out of it more quickly. Fantastic company and amazing service. My move was a total mess (move out of old place one day, store everything overnight, move in to new place next day, had issues with new apartment and they had to push my move-in time until the afternoon) and these guys were the one thing that held together throughout the entire ordeal. They were able to swap around my move-in time with another move to accommodate it for me and were super friendly and helpful throughout my multiple frantic phone calls. They were also the only company willing to give me a flat rate (all other companies I contacted charged by the hour and with a minimum of 3-4 hours PER DAY) and the rate was more than reasonable. I should have known something was up when it took almost a full business day for them to respond to my voice mail. They committed to arrive at the moving site no later than 3 PM but would make every effort to make the 2PM requested start to coordinate with others who were picking up furnishings. They called at 1:30 to let me know they still had an hour's work on their morning job and ~ approximately 80 minutes of travel time and would arrive AFTER 4 PM. This was completely unsuitable. I had explained to the lady who took the booking how important arrival time was. This was not communicated to the driver who subsequently phoned to advise they would arrive AFTER 4 PM. To add insult to the whole process, the booking lady charged me the deposit even the though the missed appointment time was ENTIRELY their responsibility. read more

I never do this but for this company I have to post an endorsement as they are the absolute Best Movers we have ever used, and this comes from a family that moves quite often! My daughter was moving from Montreal to Gatineau (for a one-year field placement) and they were not only on time, incredibly efficient (cost less than their original estimate!) and so professional, they were also friendly and a pleasure to deal with. Everything about this company is fast, friendly and professional. Holly, the coordinator, was awesome - she answered all of my questions within a few hours, and was able to change my move date (for a long-distance move, too) without issue when a problem arose with my new place. On moving day, Andrew and Josh were able to get everything loaded/unloaded within an hour and a half on either end, even though they ended up having to carry my couch up 5 flights of stairs (sorry, guys!). And they kept in touch with us during the drive from Ottawa to Quebec City so that we could time our arrivals. Andrew and Jacob were our two guys. They arrived 30 minutes earlier than expected which was great! It was to be a very hot day like so many we had this summer. Early start was a great thing. They were so pleasant, worked hard and well together. They were open to our feedback during the move as we had two stops and needed to plan carefully to save time and space. So much stuff!!! Two Guys and a Cube Van did our move this past weekend and they were fan-freeckin-tastic. Josh and Jordan were pleasant, friendly, efficient, respectful, and treated our furniture and home like it was their own. No dents in walls, or scrapes. Anything that needed to be taken apart was put back together in a timely manner (Josh quoted an hour for a wall unit and it took him 10 minutes, to take it apart, get it downstairs and put it back together) and he asked permission before he did it. The best movers ever. This is the second time I use this moving company. Andrew and his team were on time and completed the move in 4 hours as anticipated door - door. No damage to anything. They are very organized and very, very careful. They wore masks the whole time. Explained exactly how everything would work during the move. The rates were unbeatable.
