Worst movers EVER!!!
If you like to pay for two movers but have one of them work with one hand and text with the other: they're your guys.
If you don't care about your things and don't mind several items (worth more than $300) being "forgotten" in the truck and obviously never see those items again: they're your guys.
If you like to be patronized by a condescending and rude guy: the owner John Charbonneau is your guy.
I moved from Montreal to Ottawa, with a pit stop to a storage unit, and it took those previous movers less time then Parkview Moving from Ottawa to 10 minutes away Ottawa... 1 hour less... Really. Subtract travel time to that and you get... yes: 3 hours less than REAL professional movers.
In addition to that, I had to buy back everything that was "lost" in the truck, including the turntable of my microwave that I had to order directly from the manufacturer.
In short, these guys cost me 900 bucks to move from a two-bedroom apartment to a one-bedroom.. less 10 minutes away.
Save yourself some rage buildup and go with the real pros; you'll pay a little more on the spot, but will save A LOT in the end.
Response to John Charbonneau:
No, no, no: there were no pots and pans that were NOT in boxes. I think you're confusing a few lamps and plants that do not fit in boxes with pots and pans. It was NOT a FULL two bedroom apartment; the other bedroom was used as an office. And somehow, everything fits in my one-bedroom apartment now so... how can a FULL two-bedroom apartment fit in a much smaller one bedroom?
I don't know why your guy removed that microwave glass, but he was probably too distracted by his texting conversation, while the other one spent at least 20 minutes taking care of my closet when "I" was the one supposed to take care of that with the wardrobe box I had asked you for.
I had the elevators on BOTH ENDS booked for 2 hours!!! Your guys were WAY too slow; that's why they missed the reserved elevator at the other end. I had time to scrub and vacuum the entire two-bedroom apartment while your guys were "working", and do a few elevator trips myself because it was taking FOREVER. I had the same stuff as when I moved from Mtl to Ottawa, so how come they moved the same stuff in much, way much less time than you guys? Less smoking breaks maybe? And I move often and use movers each and every time: it always takes 3 to 4 hours TOP to move my stuff...
I did give you an exhaustive description of what I had to move and we both agreed it shouldn't take more than 3-4 hours. Yes, I had a few things that didn't fit in boxes but if I can move those articles in one or two go, by myself, it shouldn't be such a big deal for "professionals". And it never was until YOU came along. You say I was disorganized and I've never seen movers as disorganized as yours. So it's kind of a moot point.
As for you being rude and condescending: with your response to my review, I rest my case.
With the conversation I just had with you over the phone, I was considering removing that comment and was waiting on your email to do so, but with that answer you just wrote, my review stays. read more
