I usually prefer to figure things out on my own, but it wasn't easy to see which section of the store was for basketball shoes vs. running shoes. Then I asked a Nike representative a quick question. Kerry immediately helped show me where to look. Then he made a few suggestions and with the help he enlisted from another Nike expert, I quickly had three pairs of shoes to try on. It was a very efficient, helpful process. I found the prices to be reasonable and the selection was extensive. I had received an email about a 10% discount for my birthday. While reading the email about how to redeem that discount, I saw that I needed to download the Nike app. When I did that, I got another message; this time with a 15% discount (if I spent $100). My shoes were $80, so I added some socks and a t-shirt. I ended up saving $16. I sought out the Manager, Drew to compliment Kerry for his excellent assistance. In the past, any time I needed to buy shoes, I would have to think about where to even start. Next time it will be an easier decision. I'm going to the Nike Clearance Store

And then change happened.... I got back into exercise (walking 20+ miles per week) and I purchased a pair of Brooks Ghost and I loved them for walking but they were never perfect... a couple years later a pair of Brooks Adrenaline and again not perfect.... Basically, I was not sized correctly and I don't have a great gait (and it gets worse after I walk or tired). * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Luckily, I met the owner of Runners Depot at a Health Fair... after talking, I decided to visit their Fort Lauderdale location to see if they can get me into a sneaker that is closer to perfect (or at least sized correctly). At the shop, Joe (Runners Depot associate) had taken sizing to another level (something Nordstrom and the New Balance store had never done).... Joe checked my size and width just like the others but then had my arch measured and then had me walk in my old sneakers to check my gait. Turns out... Brooks Ghost are great but things that I didn't know to consider like support and stability meant that Brooks Ghost are not for me. Joe put me into a variety of sneakers (mostly Hoka and Brooks) and fast forward to the final choices... Joe got me into the "correct" width and added a pair of insoles for better support for my arch. At first I was thinking insoles are just another way to charge me dollars but wow, I tried the sneakers with and without the insoles and turns out they made a huge difference. Can you believe I ended up in a different size AND width than I was wearing... I ended up in a pair of Brooks Adrenaline GTS (and love them).

They are well known sneaker companies that dominate the running shoe market and are not cheap. It seems that no deals ever exist for these sneakers and are priced similar on Amazon. The employee was friendly and assisted me trying to locate a size 13 flip flop in a certain color and brand that would fit my foot with no luck. The Vouri long sleeve shirts are also priced high but great quality and unfortunately no 2XL.

I sold them some old gold drivers and they gave me a fair price. I have 2 boys and they often want to try out new sports & new equipment is very expensive these days. I went here today for Lacrosse equipment and got two lacrosse sticks for $20. The store has used men's golf clubs, baseball, football, hockey, free weights, bikes, skateboards and numerous other sport items. From pads, helmets to balls they got it all. They also have a great selection of New baseball equipment such as Mizuno Gloves and Easton Mako carbon fiber baseball bats. I bought a new Mizuno baseball glove here for $73 and same glove was $124 at Dicks sporting goods. This is a old school private business that is unique in today's buy it New world and through out tomorrow times. Go check them out and I'm sure you'd like them if you have kids who constantly are trying new sports! *Tip: ask for a discount they always give me 10% off my purchase!!

The store's larger size helps them stock it with a great variety. There's also always a handful of employees on the floor who are willing to help out. As far as quality goes, they carry a nice assortment of well known brands for most of their products. Along with the pricier, high quality things, they also offer budget friendly options, as well. Whether it's been fishing gear, kayak accessories, clothes or cleats I've gotten some great things that have lasted me for years. You can find great deals through the app & at this location depending when you look. I've found things like Nike shorts for more than half off & I recently gotten a fishing kayak at a significant discount because Quest has a sale. I also ended up getting a $15 discount (that wasn't advertised) on a life vest when I scanned my app at the checkout. You can also get oversized products shipped to the store for pick up so you don't have to pay oversized shipping fees. It's ideal having this location so close by to my house because it's just a fun place to walk around. They're one of those stores that I know I'll always be leaving with at least a lure or pack of baits. Stop by if you're in the area because I'm sure you'll find something that catches your eye.
