I work with Carl on guitar and have had an excellent experience. As a young adult in my late twenties I find this type of tutoring to be a perfect fit into my schedule and learning style. I appreciate the 1:1 environment and that it's at my house at a time that works best for me! The price is fair for the convenience and experience. The LIYH online portal makes payments and viewing my calendar extremely easy. Meeting once a week holds me accountable to practice between sessions. We mix it up between learning songs and theory. Lessons in your home is an awesome service. We were able to find a guitar teacher (David) for my 2 boys , he has been with us for 2 years and I cant praise him enough as to how my kids have consistently stayed interested. This service in my opinion is really cool as the rates are reasonable and everything is automated, Scott the manager is awesome as well just like Jay ( the previous manager). Recently they were able to find a drum teacher for me . His name is Brad, and I cant praise him enough. Been taking lessons for a month now and he is surely an expert and a great teacher. I am so very thrilled to have found such a convenient way for my daughter to learn the ukelele! Gabe is our teacher and he is wonderful with my 11yr old. He is fun and patient with her, while managing to keep her focused and engaged. He is definitely great with kids!!! He is also very prompt with arriving at our house at the exact lesson time. He brings his guitar which is nice because he and she can play different parts of the song together. Our son has been taught piano by Peace Phan for a few short months. In these short months, he has really grown - especially in his joy for playing the piano. He enjoys learning popular songs like "Iron Man" and "Minecraft". There are always additional challenges when teaching an adult learner such as myself, but Doug is a patient teacher who knows just how far to push to ensure that I am always progressing.
