Worst customer service ever. Two employees standing behind counter. I asked for chlorine tabs. Abraham pointed to where they were located. It would have been nice if he would take the time to show me the three sizes available. I told him I would take the 20 lb. container. He stands there looking at me and I'm looking at him. I guess I'm spoiled because at the Pico Rivera store and Montebello store, they would carry the product to the register for you and offer to take it to your car. I don't know but I haven't bought chemicals since last winter so maybe company policies have changed and courtesy is no longer a priority. read more

Do NOT use Leslie's pool supply! We had an install of a new pool filter after the technician left we noticed a leak. Tried to get them to come back to fix the leak but was told no appointments were available. Still waiting for them to repair their mistake. It's been a week!! Poor customer service. Horrible customer service! This is the closest Leslie's to me but I go out of my way to avoid their bad service. I don't know what it is about this store but everyone that works here seems miserable as if they don't want to be working here at all. When asked a question they respond with the shortest answer as if they don't want to be bothered to talk. I've had to stand in line for a while without any acknowledgment while they talked to each other. I've gotten the shortest and rudest answers to my questions. I have been there a few times and every time I've had great friendly service. I always get great advice and help on how to maintain our pool clean and clear. Especially want to thank Cesar and Nick who have been outstanding! Cesar not only took me step by step on how to clean the pool but got me all the materials and broke down one by one how to properly distribute the materials. He also took the time to e Odín to me how to use the testing kit. Nick was also very patient and explained what materials we needed and advice on the waters PH and chlorine balance. Took the time to explain what all my test results mean and what actions need to be taken to correct them. I thought I needed to replace my pool pump because it was spitting out error codes and would not respond to any input. I pulled the motor out and was lucky to find a pool place nearby to get a replacement pump and wanted to make sure I didn't get the same pump as it was only 7 years old. Upon inspection of the pump the manager told me my pump only needed a factory reset and not only did he perform the reset he didn't charge my anything! Hats off to these guys and I highly recommend them as their honesty is second to none! read more

Disappointed every time I go to any Leslie's Pool Supply store. Went in to buy a Hayward PoolVac XL. Price on THEIR website $379, same on Amazon. I only went their because the price was the same as Amazon and I like to support local business. They wanted to charge $519. I showed him Leslie's website for the exact same machine and the guy tried lying to me that it was somehow different. There is no difference; they only make one version of that Vac.... We bought a new pool pump still waiting for installation for 3 - 4 weeks. After we bought the pump, a guy called to schedule to come to install. He wanted to come in the morning where we have to work in the morning. The only time is after 3:30pm where my husband gets home. Why is he wants to schedule by his schedule? The customer service here was amazing, Joe and Kevon is highly intelligent. They walk me step-by-step on how to keep my poor clean, here are some before and after pictures. Without their help, my pool would probably still be green. They tested my water, and recommended me all the chemicals that I needed without trying to sell unnecessary products. I also bought a pool pump because my old one was going out, so they helped me fill out all the rebates and made sure I got the best deal ever. Male with salt and pepper hair needs to get a new job. All the negative reviews about thus business is due to him. I had the worst experience with this guy. He didn't want to help me because he was trying to swindle an old couple in the store to spend big money on stuff they didn't need. When he finally got to me I ask a simple question. He was rude and didn't let me finish my question. He told me to go somewhere else or look on line. This is the only store in my area. I do still shop here when he is not working. He is off Sundays and Mondays. The young ladies working there are the best and very helpful. If you're not a senior citizen the old male with black and gray hair won't help you. After trying to figure out why the pool was turning green on me, let alone not knowing how to take care of a pool, I came to Leslie's Pool Supplies. For the record, this place is in la Puente, and is falsely listed in Covina. I have a tendency to not like coming to specialty stores because I always feel the service is horrible and they just want your money. To my surprise the Salesperson David was very friendly and answered all my questions. David took time to explain thing through and really encouraged me to ask him questions regardless if I felt it was a dumb question. Needless to say I did spend a good amount of $$ on pool supplies. A customer who walked into the store (he is a regular here) also commented on how the people at this location know there stuff. Overall the experience coming here was not as dreadful as I expected. I now feel comfortable coming to this location and asking as many questions as needed. I know other places would feel like it is a burden and not want to deal with people. This review is for the La Puente Leslie's location only. One individual should never interact with customers. On 8/17/15 I was assisted by a very nice and helpful young man who had excellent customer service skills. Based upon this experience, I returned a couple of weeks later to have my water tested and to purchase any needed chemicals. UNFORTUNATELY, instead of the helpful young man, I was assisted by another employee in his 40's or 50's. This man was so rude and condescending that I was dumbfounded by his behavior. He treated me as if I were an idiot for asking any questions about my chemical reading. I cannot believe that this man is employed in a position that deals with people. Another poster spoke about a man with salt and pepper hair giving poor customer service. I've had the same experience with this clown twice now too. They seldom have hat I need in stock, and today was no different. I also live in West Covina too, and will happily make the drive to Downey where an independent shop ALWAYS has what I need, and the personel don't act like they hate their jobs. On a plus note, the city of Industry Leslie's is FAR better than the one in La Puente. As long as that dude works in La.Puente, I'll spend my money elsewhere. read more

DO NOT SHOP ANY @ Leslie's Pool Supply. Yesterday I called La Puente (Hacienda Blvd store) Leslie's to see if I could return an item I had purchased at another Leslie's store. After calling other stores and being told it would cost me a 15% restocking fee, see review for the Diamond Bar and Chino Hills store for more about that. Guess I should have read their reviews before I called would have known that they do not believe in customer service. I was told on the phone three things. 1) The equipment was too heavy and large to return to their store (it was a pool pump in a box that weighted less than their chlorine tablets and I would say the box is no more than a 8x8x24). 2) That they do not take back items from other stores, when I informed him the store I purchased it from was 100 miles away, the young man on the phone said 3) I would need to take the item back to the store where it was purchased, because they do not stock the item, I said are you not part of the same company? I am sorry but that is just bad customer service and so I asked is that a store policy or a company policy, the gentleman said they do not take large equipment as a policy. I told him that is a bad policy and I will never shop at Leslie's again, he said okay and then hung up on me. What is the point of shopping at a chain store with higher prices if I cannot return the item of it will not work for me? Sorry you are not the only pool supply place around. I had the receipt, the product was purchased less than 3 days before, never was used; this is just bad policy and reflects poorly on Leslie's. I will not shop at Leslie's again because of this imagine if I had bought more than this $300 pump. Sure they are the closest but I get better customer service from the internet then I did here and from WEST COAST POOL SERVICE who installed my pump. SILVER LINING: Had it not been for the nice customer service oriented store in Lancaster (Cody was the sales guy there) I would have been stuck. Yes I had to drive from the San Gabriel Valley to Lancaster to return an item, hard lesson to learn, but I am done with Leslie's. read more

We recently had a new pump and filter installed by Leslies and are not happy. It is not working properly and have had the technician out twice. We requested a different technician the second time because the first one didn't seem like he knew what to do. They sent the same tech out again. He was on the phone with someone asking for instructions and finally told my husband that the pump was supposed to work that way. Our pool is cloudy and the leaf catcher attachment isn't working like it's supposed to. We also purchased a Zodiac cleaner that isn't working right. We are waiting for a 3rd visit next week! Again, we requested a different technician or a manager to come out to solve our problem. We were also told someone would call to talk and still haven't received a call. It's been several weeks and we can't use the pool because it's not clean! NOT HAPPY! IT's HOT and we want to go swimming! read more

I stopped shopping here because of his attitude. I'm a West Covina local been in this city for 28 years and this is my second time coming here for service as this is sadly the only pool supply store in my area. I came in today already in pain from a pinched nerve looking for help in prepping a jacuzzi I purchased to help take the stress off only to be confronted negatively by a Hispanic man with salt and pepper hair. I can only assume it was the owner since the only other time I came in he was here. I asked for bromine powder as that's what the instructions stated for prep only to be confronted with a nasty UGLY attitude from this guy. "We don't carry that go somewhere else" he said. I asked can you recommend any place? "NO" loudly with disgust and the worst degrading tone I've ever heard. Don't worry ill NEVER be back and ill make sure to steer ALL my family friends neighbors and coworkers in the opposite direction of this establishment. The Worst customer service and the nastiest attitudes I've ever seen.
