I will not be back to this location. My wife and I stood at the counter, ready to check out for 15 minutes being completely ignored today. There was ONE customer in the store when I walked in. The girl behind the counter was helping another man with some water tests and advice. I just needed one box of chlorine, so I set it on the counter to wait. While she was helping the first guy, she turned around and read information from the box of chlorine I was trying to buy so she could answer a question he had... So she knew how long we had been waiting. Two other customers walked in while we were waiting and they both wanted to run water tests. After the first guy was done and checked out, she ran water tests for both the guys that came in after me. She checked one of them out, still with me waiting and turned back around to help the second guy. When she went into another longwinded technical explanation of the test results for that guy we turned and walked out, leaving the box of chlorine on the counter. Even though this store is a few blocks from the house, we drove to the Hulen location and made our purchase in less time than she had left us standing at the counter. I have purchased 3 Polaris machines from this store over the years. My most recent purchase was under warranty when I brought it back because it just went dead. Lauren at Leslie's did everything possible to help get the thing back in working order. She was managing 2 stores with very little help as I could see it. Doing repairs and she was ill. It did take some time but she never dodged my phone calls or made excuses. I appreciate her work ethic and that she got the job done. Thank you Lauren. read more

I am new to inground pool ownership and a very old one at that. That said, I have to say the help I have received from the staff at this location has made upkeep and maintenance much easier and taken much of the guess work out of it. The manager, Mike and Chris have always been great and patiently explaining what steps I need to take to clear up my pool and recommendations and options for equipment upgrades that allows me to avoid major hits to my budget. Let me first say, we bought our house with the pool 3 1/2 years ago and the very first time we walked into Leslie's on Hulen, they have been nothing but helpful. We buy all our tools, chemicals, and supplies from the location on Hulen. In chemicals alone, we have probably spent a few thousand dollars and typically just buy whatever the helpful staff has recommended and it has fixed all water issues. Maybe two years ago, management switched and it has been going downhill. I still walk in and buy my supplies, but today was the last straw. I hate to call an employee out by name, but in this case I have to ... I walked in by recommendation of an employee a few days ago as I was having an issue with my Polaris after I replaced it's tail. A different employee told me to bring it in and they would look at it as it no longer goes into the shallow in (which it did before I replaced the tail). The 1st employee asked I bring it in as he walked through all possible issues and solutions which I had tried on my previous visit. So today ... I walk in and explain my situation and they tell me the only person who can solve my problem is 'Robert.' I wait for 5-7 minutes which was no problem, put the Polaris on the desk and before I explain my problem, Robert says, yep, I can rebuild it. I said, "I don't need that. Let me explain my problem." I was cut off 3-4 times and never explained my situation. He just kept saying $260 and I can fix that. I said what if I buy all the part and fix it myself, he says, no you can't. I fix it for free. $260 and I fix right now. The attitude (which was not the first time or encounter with him) and the know-it-all really bothered me. I was bringing in the Polaris to be looked at which they recommended, not to pay $260. My Polaris was just rebuilt last year. My issue was minor and again, I was doing routine maintenance (replacing the tail) and obviously didn't put something back together properly, though Robert did not care. Good for him trying to make a buck, but this location lost my business forever. Even worse, I came home tried one last thing to fix my problem and BOOM, it works again. read more

Leslies pool Camp Bowie. This is not the first time I've been to this Leslies pool on Camp Bowie well the old man with the gray hair Is so rude. If he doesn't like his job He really needs to go home and sit his old butt down some where if he can't assist people properly, is very simple to say I'll be with you as soon as I'm done with the customer. I think he is tired and he is being crumpy and craby. Just let others that might be needing a job have the opportunity to work and be of good service to others. This man can't multi task, he doesn't know how to it make him feel overwhelmed, pressure and it reflex in his character Poor customer service. I took my business elsewhere. read more

Knowledgeable and helpful. I make all my pool supply purchases here. As an older women I appreciate that the employees carry my purchases to my car - especially the bags of pool salt. This year I purchased and had Leslie's install a new pump. Pricing was fair and I'm happy with the work. read more

Just going to say, I have been going here for a while to get my spa supplies. My last visit I thought i needed a part, so I had them order the part. Here is what you need to be aware of. If you order something, first you have to do it in person and prepay. I get this, but beware. The shipping charges are out of control and this is for ground five to seven days. My part was less than 1/2 lb and was eight dollars shipping on a $16.00 part. I was going to order several parts, but found out there is separate shipping charges for each part. I order what i thought i needed. Turns out i didn't need the part. I had waited a couple of weeks before doing the repairs. I take my part back for a return, then i'm informed there is a 14 day return. I'm at 17 days. They had to call higher manager on the phone to approve a return. The good news is he said ok, but only for the part. So bottom line, do not order a part unless you know you will use it, otherwise you pay three times the shipping cost and it will not be refunded of course. Make sure if you do have a return, read the fine print on the back of the receipt and be prepared for a 15% restocking fee on some items and a very strict 14 day return policy. My experience you usually have 30 or more days at most businesses. I am debating to continue to shop Leslie's or start going to another pool supply company. Some companies at least have free shipping to the store. Just be aware of the cost and hassle if you order from them. read more

Horrible customer service. They guaranteed an item to my door on a certain date. They did not provide a tracking number or deliver on their promised date. When we called to ask about our item they blamed the warehouse and did not offer to make this right in any way, just told us it would be an additional 2 weeks on top of the 2 weeks we had already waited. We were not looking for a discount or anything free, we just wanted our item ASAP. Ending up cancelling our order (after they told us tough luck) and ordered from Amazon. I would give them zero stars if i could. read more

I do a lot of business with Leslie's on Camp Bowie and always get great service with a knowledgable friendly staff. I can walk in this store and get my pool water tested for free and walk out without buying anything and the staff here treats me like I spent a thousand dollars. This is a no pressure staff that has helped me keep our pool in tiptop order and will continue to do business with them. read more
