Every visit here has been less than ideal. When they give an estimated wait add several hours to that to avoid extreme irritation. I am PISSED. They can fill my gas tank next visit. Terrific!! We were six hours from home on our way home from Fort Bragg on a Saturday morning when we discovered a nail in our tire. All tire stores nearby wouldn't open till Monday. I was able to get an appointment for first thing in the am. Every person we encountered was kind, professional, caring, and had that good old fashioned feel you get in a small town....a thing the world could use a lot more of. We walked to Starbucks and back and our car was done waiting for us. They didn't charge us anything-but we tipped because they paid it forward and so we want to do the same! Not happy with the service here- started off by them trying to drastically overcharge for a wheel swap- from one truck to another (wanted $600) after getting that figured out it took over 3 hours to move 6 tires from one truck to another and they still ended up overcharging but I was 3 hours from home so I really had no choice! The owner/ manager was very rude and kept insisting I take it somewhere else- next time I will- (edited) got about 30 miles down the road and was losing air- they left a valve stem nut loose and ended up stranded in the middle of nowhere! I was driving from Eureka to San Jose (Bay Area) when I got a flat on highway 101. I came here on June 9, 2024 as it was the ONLY repair shop in the area that was open on a Saturday. I was greeted by Paul when I came in. The waiting area was extremely clean. Paul was able to reassure me and explain the process they would be doing to diagnose the issue and fix it. In an extremely timely manner they were able to find that I had a nail in my tire, in which they plugged it and check my air pressure in all 4 tires and get me out the door, FREE OF CHARGE. If I lived in the area these would definitely be the people I would trust with my vehicle maintenance. Tires were slashed I had it towed over , they even had the size of tires I needed on site already ! Most places have to special order them due to the performance tires not being a common thing around mendo and lake county's , these guys even put a few gallons of gas in my tank after it had ran out completely in the middle of the job. My daughter had brake problems on our '85 Ford truck on the way over from Fort Bragg, so she stopped in Willits. It was around 4:30 pm, but they were great about hunting down all the parts for the breaks, and were on the repair first thing the next morning. Whomever sent the parts sent a wrong part in the correct box. When contacted, they wanted to wait until 3pm to send it out. Paul sent a guy to Santa Rosa to get the part, so my daughter could get back on the road. These guys went above and beyond - but I feel like that's just the way they always operate. We had all 4 tires replaced, and when got the vehicle back the TPM's weren't working and a clanking noise from one of the wheels. My wife took the vehicle back to the Willits Les Schwab, and Paul, the Manager told here it would be over $400 to replace the TPMs as they are bad. She told him they worked when we brought it in for tires, and he told her that they "just go bad". The noise was a TPM that came loose in the tire. I talked to Paul and asked how what he told my wife is possible? He said they just go bad. I reminded him they worked before they put hands on it. He admitted they they my owe us one for the faulty install the was rolling around in the tire. He says "look, I told your wife what happen, not my fault she doesn't understand". Took it to Commercial Tire. Behold, 1 faulty TPM due to bad install. The rest worked. The price of replacement was 25% less than the corporate giant. I will never purchase or get service from Les Schwab ever again. read more

Don't even. I cannot give this place a star. I went in for the free brake inspection and was told my front brakes were fine, and the rear needed a little work, but nothing urgent. I was told that my left ball joint was loose and that not repairing that soon would be "catastrophic". I few days later I was in Sebastopol and my brakes made a terrible crazy noise. I took it to a mechanic there, Sonoma County Autocare and they showed me that my front and rear brake shoes were cracked, the front rotors warped and with burn marks and gouges... and more... and that my vehicle was therefore not safe to drive. I had my brakes done at Sonoma County Autocare. They also said there was zero play in the ball joints, and zero need to replace them. Just to be sure, I went for a third opinion to Benedetti's, since Les Schwab Willits said the ball joint was dangerously loose. They confirmed that both ball joints are fine. WTF? Les Schwab, you actually endangered my life with your free brake inspection. Thank goodness they didn't fail on the grade down to Ukiah. read more

Went in on July 3rd in the morning and was greeted by signs on the doors saying that they were not doing any oil changes for the rest of the day. So I tried again on the 5th. Same story. I went this morning and was told that they would pull it in "in a couple of hours." I was prepared for that. I had coffee, a book to read, and my phone. While waiting, I saw people come in after me and leave. I do not know what they were having done. One gentleman came in with a tire issue and was out again within 10 minutes. He said "thanks for taking care of me so fast" to the lady who checked me in as he was leaving. I'm sure the other people was waiting with me appreciated the good service that he recieved along with me... At the four hour mark, my car was right where I had parked it this morning. I just asked for my keys. They were handed to me with a "sorry about that." Well, that doesn't really cut it. If they gave a tinker's dam about customer service, they would have spoken to me a bit closer to the two hour mark and told me that they were running behind. Had I known that it was going to be more than four hours before they even pulled my car in, I could have decided what to do at that point - whether to leave, arrange for a ride home and back, etc. I think I'll look elsewhere for my automotive needs. read more

Went in for new tires today because the manager goood ol Kale said the tires we ordered weren't in stock and he had his house brand 'back country' in stock. I asked if he could include alignment with the deal and he barks "absolutely not, I'm losing $1000 on this deal already. To help him with advanced algebra $50/tire times 4 tires=$200 not $1000! Then he charges $70 for balancing the brand new tires we bought from him. Any other shop would include for free and he doesn't mention this in the quote after asking initially for the cost breakdown. I call with a blown out tire we changed wanted to replace. Inquired about 4 tires. We were told 1 1/2 hour . We get there 15 minutes later now a 2 hour wait . Ok. We were in tow with 3 cats and 2 large dogs. 2 hours past . Inquired, now wait time 2 hours. Excuses like everyone business has no help. The manager with see if he can work us in the next 2 hours, I contacted the Ukiah location, which was able to get us right in for service. Even with broken lug nut new tires , wrong set and correct set , a 20 minutes drive my car was finished before the people could get me in. Management needs to manage better read more

AAA took my car to a shop down the rd. They didn't have my size, with an hour before all the shops closed. I called les to see if they did. And they did! They couldn't do roadside due to tire type. They don't tow and any tow truck was an hour plus to deliver the car to the location. I asked if they could deliver it .4 miles down the road, that was a no go too. So I walked there on my way I called to ask if they could have it ready in about 5mins because the shop I was at closed at 5. I arrived at 4:26. No staff at the front. When they finally came up she asked me if I was here for the tire. Knowing I had to be to the other shop before 5 and I had to walk the tire back, the woman helping me seemed to not worry about rushing, As she was cashing me out couldn't she remember how to run my CC by 4:48 I was walking out the door to carry my tire back to the shop down the rd. I got new tires here last summer and now am back for a complimentary rotation. The service here is great! I am treated well by all employees and have never had any problems. When they first put the tires on, there was a warning light on my dash for tire pressure that I was concerned about. The technician came out and explained to me that the system would reset itself and the light would go off once I got up to a certain speed. He was very nice and was correct. read more

Where to start. I have been going to the Heber location since they opened. I was probably just turning 20 years old then. At the time I had no money and desperate to stay on the road. Multiple times they helped me we flat tires and even a road side assistance even though I could not purchase much needed new tires or pay them half the time. Fast forward 16 plus years. What a crew they have. I think it trickles down from the great leadership that the company builds. I now try to do as much as I can with them. On a road trip the length of California, at 6am we got a flat tire on the 101S somewhere near Ave of the Giants. We popped on the spare and stopped in Willits to replace the tire. We are in the middle of nowhere trying to head home to San Diego and the wonderful guy Josh behind the counter patched my tire and got us back on the road. The customer service was excellent and I didn't feel like I was being pressured into spending money I didn't need too.
