So first of all, my friend and I wanted to treat our selves to getting our nails done together. When we walked in, no one greeted us, all of the employees were just looking at us like we weren't supposed to be there and it was extremely uncomfortable. Then when they sat us, they sat us in separate rooms to get our nails done. I could understand if they were busy and needed to sit us at different stations, but we were the only two getting our nails done, there was an open spot next to me, and the rest of the customers were getting pedicures on the other side of the salon. Basically, I did not get spend time with my friend who I had invited to come with me. A little later on, employees were complaining about customers that had left. That just made me wonder, "hmm, I wonder what they are going to say about me when I leave?" Lastly, I asked for acrylic nails, done with white nail polish over them. The owner, Le, was the one who did my nails. She had only put two coats of white nail polish on my nails which really needed a third coat. On top of that she told me the nail polish I picked out was $3 more because the polish "lasts longer." Doubtful, but I thought it would be worth it. I was wrong. The end result of my nails looked AWFUL! My 12 year old brother could have done a better job than she did. There are white streaks due to only having two coats of polish. I showed my friend when we were done and she agreed that they looked awful. An hour later I look down at one of my nails and one of the tips is already CHIPPED! An acrylic nail already chipped on the first day of getting them? Unacceptable. I am not a picky person what so ever, especially when it comes to nails I am very simple. But they look horrible and I will not be returning there, nor will my friend. My business will be taken else where because the job done on my nails were worth $5, not $23. Also it is very sad to see that the owner can't even take the time to put at least one more coat and please her customers. Not worth my money at all. Or anyone else's. read more

I don't post reviews anywhere...ever... but I feel inclined to leave one after going to Le's Salon for a gel removal, mani, and regular polish application. Nothing majorly bad occurred, but it was a less than pleasant visit with the worst service I've ever received anywhere, ever. And I am not a picky person when it comes to nails; a mani with polish or gel, or a pedi with polish is all I go into a salon for. 1) Upon arriving, I was picking out a polish color, and the tech somewhat hurriedly/abruptly interrupted me looking at colors, put a polish color sample wheel in my hand, and brought me to her station. At the time I thought that maybe I was taking too long, but looking back, I had only been looking for a minute or so. 2) The tech didn't soak my nails in polish remover before using the electric filing tool to get the gel polish off, and it actually hurt, which is something I've never experienced before. I'm not a nail tech, so I obviously don't know best practices, but at any salon I've ever gone to, my gel is first soaked with cotton pads and remover. 3) I told the tech I wanted my nails cut just a bit, but I liked their current shape a lot (a little more rounded/oval shape at the top, but not extreme). She cut them just a bit like I asked, and then filed them just a bit, but the shape was still more square....and the shape looked nothing like what I went into the salon with. She was about to go soaking my nails, when I very nicely asked her to round them out more, so she started shaping my middle finger nail and moved onto soaking that hand and moved onto the other hand. I looked at the shape of that ONE nail, and it still looked bad, so I asked her if she could round it more. At that point, she stopped working on my other hand and said I'd have to pay her then (which I totally didn't mind doing because salons often have you pay before your nails are totally done.) But her tone seemed very annoyed at my request. . She came back and started working again, and that's when I asked her to shape ALL of them. So she did, but they all still looked nothing like what I asked for. 3) When she told me to go wash my hands, I started swiveling the large chair, and was trying to maneuver myself out of the corner station we were situated at, and also was trying to step over my bag, and the tech told me again to go wash my hands, in a tone that was super rude. She obviously thought I was taking too long to get up, but I was not at all. (This wasn't my first rodeo at a salon.) 4) The nail drying station was in a hallway that was cold. Maybe I should have worn a full sleeved sweater instead of a 3/4 length sleeve sweater..I don't know..but the temp while sitting there waiting for my nails to dry was chilly. 5) Poor job cleaning up my cuticles. I'm writing this review not only to inform others of my experience, but in hopes that Le's Salon will read my feedback and make changes to their level of service and technique (and cleanliness, but that was the least of my first concerns). I understand that salons can have tight schedules, and I was most certainly not expecting to walk into a higher end mani experience, but please don't schedule a customer if you can't provide adequate, respectable service. I'm conclusion, customer service was lacking big time, and I will stick to my normal nail salon in Grandville from now on. Sorry. read more

Not happy at all. Had my nails done Saturday Nov 17 it is Nov 21 and they are chipped and wearing off at the tips. On top of that I think it is incredibly rude to speak in a different language and then giggle the entire time you have customers in front if you. read more

I was really looking forward to having a manicure because it had been some time since my nails received some TLC. The manicurist spent very little time cleaning my nails up...they definitely needed more attention than they were given. When I left, I still had dry hands and hangnails. Not good. :( read more

VERY DISAPPOINTED. I used to go here faithfully over 10 years ago. Came through town and stopped in for a fill and should've walked back out before he started. The place was very dirty and gross! Henry did my nails and did a crappy job. (I pre-manicure my cuticles before I get a fill) he tore up my cuticles with the dremel tool, never asked if I wanted my nails shortened, never cleaned under my nails with the dremel tool(my real nails) -I had very jagged nails underneath when he was done. I've been getting my nails done for 20 years and never had such bad service. Just an overall bad experience. I'll never go back. Just don't go. I ignored the negative review to my detriment. I made an appointment (first one that morning) for a manicure and pedicure. I would have been better off to save my money and do it myself. It was not a relaxing experience due to the employees yelling at each other across the room and a general feeling that they were in a rush. At one point, the gentleman doing my manicure stopped (while holding my finger), put down the nail file, retrieved his cell phone from his pocket, and made a call...to the receptionist. Maybe this would all be less bothersome if I left with nails looking great. That wasn't even the case. Definitely a disappointment. Will not return. read more

Stopped in to get shellac removed. Should have ran out when he started with the grinder but thought he was just roughing it up to make it come off easier, but no had me soak them for about ten seconds and then finished taking it off that way. Totally ruined my natural nail! Yes I should have known better but have only done shellac a couple of times and have taken it off myself. read more

Great place to get your nails done at. I've been coming for years and never had a bad job done here. The owners also do treatments. There is very rarely a wait. I scheduled an appointment for a haircut the weekend after Christmas. Being the holidays, they were a bit busy so I had to wait a little. A nice woman cut my hair, we didn't talk much, but I don't really like to talk when I get my haircut so that was great for me. I showed her some photos on my phone of how I wanted my haircut and, like I expected, she cut it. I liked how it turned out. It seems like most people come here for a manicure because I was the only one getting my haircut. I'd recommend making an appointment first because they seemed so busy, that way you don't have to wait long. read more

I was so excited to get a manicure for Christmas, But what an ultimate disappointment! My nail polish came off within a day, Maybe that was because of the liquid that the manicurist added to the nail polish. I tried to have a conversation with the manicurist but she was more interested in talking across the room with the other manicurist ,very rude! This is, far and away, the worst pedicure I have ever had!! The nail tech was too engrossed with gossip on TV and "filed" my skin raw, which then bled, even though I told her several times it was too rough. She barely apologized and proceeded with the pedicure only to be interrupted by her phone. My 30 minute "massage" then consisted of her TEXTING on her phone and half @ss massaging the same spot on right leg for 40 minutes, then my left leg for ONLY 5 minutes. I had a terrible experience here. When one of the ladies was doing my toes, she took off skin from my big toe and made many toes bleed. When I called for a refund, they said they don't do refunds. I, as well ignored the bad reviews on here. Don't go! I waited for 15 minutes to even get to a station. When I was told to go sit at a station, I waited another 15+ minutes. The man doing my nails didn't even apologize for the wait. while he was doing my nails there was another manicurist who came over my shoulders and slammed $3 on the table in order to give my manicurist his tip. Made reservations for two people the first part of July, we went and each had a green tea pedicure. We were happy had nice and relax full . Went back as a walk in for a polish change and decided to have a regular pedicure in stead. Was rushed threw had the worst paint job ever, it lasted one week, buy the same person and the whole time I was in there the workers were fighting over customers, and I told them to cut my nail witch they barely did. Don't go here! I had my acrylics done here four months ago and I am still trying to grow out the damage they did to my nail bed. My nails were so badly damaged I had painful nail,beds for over two months and am just now finally growing out the ring of fire she left me with. I am still trying to regain my nail health. Go to a full salon and pay for quality service. They also rip off and try to get you to believe that Solar nails are something special. They are actually just a different brand of acrylic. I have been here many times. The service used to be great! But, not anymore...they used to take their time like they cared....they just don't anymore. I tip on how well they do, didn't get much last time....I don't like the lazy way of filing with an electric dremel, as they ALWAYS go to far and that hurts like hell, or it burns, if you pull away they act like you offended them.....not worth the money or time. read more

I have gone to this salon before. But I am very disappointed by my recent experience. I had loked on the website and it said for a full set of acrylic it would only be $20. I also called and your employee said it was only $20. The sign in the store was the only place that said $20 and up but your employee did not specify what would cost more.There was no further notice that if I wanted anything other than short square it would cost more. I got there and showed your employee what I wanted and he did not tell me that it would cost more than $20. He did everything except the polish and then asked if I wanted to pay. I had said "$20, right?" and he said "No, $42" you can see where I would be very confused and frustrated. I was never once told any of my decisions would cost extra. He then proceeded to cut off all of his work and paint my nails and charge me $20. I would have been okay with the short square if I was informed BEFORE having my nails done that what I wanted from the picture would cost more. But the fact that it was all done besides polish and your employee just cut them off was wrong. I will not be coming here anymore nor recommending you to my friends and family.
