Plus, Alexa who is taking care of Crux is such an inspiring and dynamic person. They don't offer only juice, kombucha and smoothie, but also wraps, salads and yogurts. The wrap I ordered was super healthy and tasty. I also tried two smoothies this week and they were both delicious. I love the organic coffee they use for their iced latte. It is located in a very nice area with a beautiful market near it which is perfect for walks, especially during the summer. The coffee shop itself is beautiful, very nice seating area and a lot of space. It is perfect if you want to study because it's very cosy, but it's also good if you're grabbing lunch quickly or coffee on the go. I have tried their smoked salmon sandwich and a kale/beet salad which were both very delicious. The only issue I had was the price, I thought it was a bit pricier than other coffee shops or places where you can grab lunch quickly. Despite that, I can understand since it's a local coffee shop and everything they have is high quality and fresh. Their iced coffee is more of an iced cappuccino with crushed ice... So if you want something liquid like coffee with ice, I would recommend getting an iced latte. It was delicious, and they had a lot of options for people like me who are lactose intolerant (almond milk, soy milk, lactose-free, coco milk, oat milk, etc.) The staff is extremely nice. They're very knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. The first time I went there, the girl explained everything to me and how the café started and she looked very passionate which showed me that she liked her job. The only issue I'd have with this place is their opening hours. During the winter, if you're planning on late-night studying there, it doesn't open as late as other coffee places, but that's to be expected with local coffee shops like this one.

I haven't seen that at a fast service restaurant in years. The line is like other similar restaurants. Then the grill guy adds your chicken last. Lots of gluten-free options. The food was very tasty. The toppings guy suggested the tzatziki and I'm so glad he did. It was really good. There is seating inside and outside. Bathroom was pretty clean (there was only one in service at the time).

Working in Montreal for a couple of weeks and it's dinnertime. I usually will head into downtown to…read moreget dinner, but I was feeling lazy this evening so I did some Yelp'ing around what was near me. I found Twister Burger which was didn't have a large amount of ratings, but they had a big menu so I chose them! Here's how it went. Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right off a pretty wide street that doesn't seem like a main road is this gem. There's no private parking lot so you'll have to park on the street in the neighborhood, but I didn't have a hard time finding space. Once inside you're transported back to like... the 40s? 50s? Whenever the soda fountain era was with the black/white checkered walls, neon lights and the whole thing. Lol. It was cute. The restaurant is fairly small and that's okay! It makes for a more comfortable and cozy feel. I got my food to go so I didn't have to stay long. Service: The gentlemen behind the counter was very helpful and make sure I got everything that I needed. He also helped me since most of the menus are in French. Food: I started off with their Taco Salad, but as of now I don't see it listed on their menu anymore. Anyway, it's basically their now Southwest Salad which contains mixed greens, corn, red onion, avocado, fried tortillas and shredded cheese, served with chipotle ranch. But instead of being in a bowl, it's in a fluffy, crispy taco shell which was very flavorful and enjoyable. It worked well. The name of the place is called Twisted Burger so I had to try at least one of them. I decided on the Trio Diablo Burger which is 130g beef (1/3 lb), jalapeños, monterrey jack cheese, habanero salsa, grilled onion, chipotle mayonnaise and lettuce, and tomatoes. It kinda slid apart in transport, but I was able to put it back together at my hotel room and it was fine. Nothing super crazy or explosive to report. It was a decent burger and satisfied my cravings for sure. The beer-battered onion rings were okay too. Nothing special and I don't think I was expecting anything out of this world either. Most beer-battered onion rings taste the same, so it's good that it's a familiar flavor to recognize. Value: My taco salad was $14.95CAD, my burger was $10.95CAD and my onion rings were $4.95CAD. This is a GREAT DEAL on the amount of food I had for sure. Looking for a cheap date, something quick, nothing fancy, I dig this place for sure.

Though my review is only about the quality of the food, I just want to say, the service here is warm and attentive. The menu is in three section a salad section to which you can make into a table d'hôte for 5$. Then there's the plats favoris section which is a table d'hôte section with various choices. Come with either soup, or salad, or entree and dessert. It's 25$, what? How is this possible! The last section meats table d'hôte, 45$. Has filet mignon, lamb shank, lamb chops and veal. We ordered from the plats favoris for 25$ The entrée was mushroom puff pasty, it was flaky, mushroom was creamy but not too rich, well balanced mushroom to pastry ratio. For this to be part of a table d'hôte impressed me. Next I chose the butternut squash ravioli in rosée sauce. Ravioli cooked just right, filling was nice and sauce well balanced. I had the mascarpone with raspberry jam dessert. Light sweet and tangy, nothing fancy but nice. All this for 25$? See you next week?
