I used to go to this bar loads when I lived in Paris because I thought it was pretty unique. There's nothing particularly fancy about it, but here's what sets it apart:
Great, polite, friendly service from the waiters and bar staff alike (which you come to cherish when you're in Paris as it can - at times - be hard to come by)
Great food. It's not necessarily a bargain, but the quality, preparation and diverse menu makes it totally worth it. The salmon tartare is amazing by the way, but so is pretty much everything else on the menu.
Great for brunch, dinner or a fun evening out. I've been here at all times of the day and it always has a buzzing atmosphere.
The downstairs is also not to be missed, it gives you the chance to tap into your inner old Frenchman - clearly we all have one ;) - as they have an indoor petanque (bowls) "court" with real sand where you can chill out, have fun and do it all for free!
I never made a reservation for this place, but if you want to be sure to play petanque, it might be worth calling to book a place.
I have nothing bad to say about this Les Niçois. If you're in the area, go! If you're not in the area, still go! read more
