I had a short stay in the 10th Arr in Paris, a quick overnight on the way to Strasbourg. I was looking to have a fine Parisian meal without going too far from my hotel by Gare de l'Est, and I definitely found it here. The restaurant is one of those small bistros with small (but not too small) plates, masterfully done, and a good wine selection to go with it. I had the sashimi, samphire, and grape salad and a black pudding and baked apple dish and both were *amazing* and absolutely hit the spot. I had a vin orange Gewurtraminer, which was also quite nice and a good accompaniment to the other dishes. Finished off by a rich desert that combined French toast, crème brûlée, rich coffee (though I elected for decaf, given the hour), and homemade ice cream. Just a fantastic meal, all around, and I got out of there for under 50 Euro - try doing that in the USA! Highly recommended.

Near Canal St Martin, Les Enfants Perdus is a charming spot for a cozy dinner. Know that they have a wine bar right across the street which would be great for a pre or apres dinner drink. The inside is dimly lit, and has thoughtful design touches. The menu is classically based but manages to be creative as well. Prices are moderate and the staff was very friendly. I had the roasted chicken "airline" style served with a creamy tarragon sauce and a crock of wonderful sweet potato mash. Simple but perfectly executed, and full of flavor. Dessert was a trio of mini creme brulees - how can you say no to that?

I was looking for a hidden gem out from the beaten path and I found it! Little restaurant with wonderful food. Desserts were amazing, great atmosphere, and literally almost no non French speakers there! I'm a French born speaker, which my wife believes gays is better service LOL. The soup was super creamy and flavorful, the sole was just like I remember, lots of butter and delicate meal.

A smal french restaurant that usually takes reservations, we were lucky we didn't have to wait or make one. This place has a special pick three option for brunch/lunch. Their menu includes an impressive list of cocktails about 11-13 euros. Not so much of a beer list. The menu has the classic foie grass and escargot. We chose the escargot for appetizer, it came out with foam decorations, which is weird and you can hardly see the snails. I chose the scallops for my entree and it came in several pieces. I was not disappointed :) Definitely recommend for anyone around the area to try this place. The tasting I find is not overpowering, in fact it's subtle.

I'd like to give Les Enfants Perdus 4.5 stars :) SERVICE - We were a group of 13, and even though they normally don't allow such large groups for dinner, they made an exception for us and allowed us to be there from 7-10pm. :D - They were very nice and efficient. - The website isn't completely accurate; some food items that were in the restaurant are not on their menu online. FOOD - It was beautifully decorated; it looks like there's a bit of a Japanese touch to the way that they garnish their food. I had a magret de canard with berries and it was really great. It was cooked a little too much for my taste, even though I asked for rosé, but it was still really good. - I got the nage de pamplemousse au menthe (something like that), but after trying my friend's moelleux au chocolat + mango sorbet, I would've much rather had that. My dessert was very light and refreshing, but the moelleux was really phenomenal. DECOR & ENVIRONMENT - It's pretty cute and cozy :) It's not a giant restaurant, but it's not so small that you feel bad that you're taking up space. It's pretty comfortably sized. - It's really close to the Canal Saint-Martin, so you can stroll along before or after. :) Overall, it'd be a great restaurant for a celebration of some sort (birthday, farewell party, etc) or a date. You'll get a really good meal, but it is rather spendy.

This little restaurant is one of my favorite dinner restaurants in Paris. Stopped by here on a Tuesday evening for dinner with a party of 4. The ambiance was intimate and warm (great for dates or going out with friends). We were greeted and seated quickly. Staff was very nice & accommodating and brought us English menus. Great selection of wine; we had a bottle of red from the Loire Valley. Foods we dined on? Foie Gras-Very Good Le filet de Boeuf (Fillet of beef)-BIG HIT with our party La Truite (Trout)-Very Good Le Tartare de Boeuf (Beef Tartar)-Very Good Everyone cleaned their plates and were very satisfied with their meals. I'm quite sure a round of desserts was ordered and eaten, but by the 2nd bottle of wine, its hard to remember. haha!

We stumbled upon this restaurant the first night we were in Paris, unfortunately they did not have a table available at that time. So we made a reservation for the following night. It did not indicate that a reservation was needed, but given my experience and the size of the restaurant, I would suggest making one. So getting to the important details: the wine and the food. The wine we had was fabulous! We asked the waitress what her recommendation was, and she made a great suggestion (picture attached). For an appetizer, we shared Tuna Three ways (ceviche, tartare, and seared). The tuna tartare was one of the most delicious things I have had in my entire life!! For entrees, I got the beef dish. The steak was cooked perfectly and was served with bone marrow (something I had never had before, but it was delicious). My girlfriend has the poultry dish. The chicken itself was average, but the sauce was to die for and the sweet potato gratin was out of this world. For dessert, we shared the Pain Perdu. It was our goal to get some while we were there, and it did not disappoint. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant. I, personally, we definitely return when I return to Paris!

    Bland beef tenderloin.. Overpriced..

After a few nights of mediocre food, I asked the hotel concierge for a recommendation. We then saw that this restaurant had high remarks on Yelp, so we thought we would give it a shot. I ordered the beef tenderloin and my boyfriend got the duck confit. I asked for it to be cooked medium rare and it came out red and very rare. I guess in Paris, you need to ask for it well done?? I ended up having to send mine back to be cooked longer. The sides that came along with the entrees were bland. We ordered creme brûlée for dessert hoping it would put a nice finish on a disappointing dinner since France seems to at least do desserts well. Even that was boring.. The only thing good was the ice cream. The service was slow and after waiting 15 minutes for our check, we left our money on the table while the server was too busy setting up another table. We ended up paying 62 euros ($83 USD) which is the same that i would have paid for an appetizer, 4 drinks and 2 entrees at a 4 star restaurant in Austin. I consider myself a "foodie" and have tried a ton of top notch restaurants.. But perhaps Paris is just too bland and overpriced for my taste.

I don't think i can like this restaurant any more than I do at this moment. It's such a great great place! The back area has sky windows with cushy benches against the wall and brick backdrop - so wonderfully homey and chic! The location is right near Gare de l'est and nord, and the canal. So last minute run to the train station works, or if you have time, hang out by the canal. The service is impeccable. And the food. Oh the food! Sunday "brunch" at noon (opening time) - thankfully we made reservations and di not have to wait outside forever. 25 EUR fixed price and the menu is incredible. 1. freshly squeezed orange juice, choice of coffee-based drink, unlimited viennoiserie 2. cucumber salad, salamon salad (thick smoked salmon), oeuf cocotte, house made cake/bread thingy 3. baked dish (potatoes? I dont know but it was delicious), duck breast, farmed yogurt with jam, fresh grapes Yes, all three of what I numbered will need to be eaten by you. So pick up the phone and make that reservation and i promise you won't regret it!!

Delicious!! Found this little gem of a spot and was not disappointed. My friend and I shared their delicious salad and steak plate it was more than enough for two. It is cash only, but great price for serving size and food quality.

The restaurant on a sleepy Sunday morning

Full five stars for a really fantastic brunch with excellent service and a very friendly greeting. We showed up Sunday at around noon- four of us girls- and enjoyed just one of the most amazing brunches. The waiter came with the chalkboard, showed us the three-course menu and asked for our drink selection. From that point on everything ran so perfectly, we did not even have to ever look for a waiter once or wonder what's going on -food just arrived, water stayed full on the table, glasses kept getting filled it was truly exceptional and well-managed. We started with a large basket of bread and mini viennoiseries. The pain au raisin was my favorite: moist, gooey. Moving on to the second course, we each received a plate that had one perfectly cooked egg, a smoked salmon salad that was incredibly well smoked and flavorful, a muffin, and some cucumber salad. Divine. The third course followed and included some delicious yogurt, a poached pear, the best ravioli in a creamy cheesy sauce ever, and some sort of attempt at bacon. Absolutely perfect Sunday afternoon spent at this exceptional restaurant enjoying a perfect leisurely meal. Great place to know- and afterwards you can stroll along the St. Martin canal. Very romantic.

What a great find!…read more This bar doesn't look like much from the outisde but once you walk in, its super cool and full of character. The bar staff was extremely friendly and educated us on the history of the bar. Both bartenders spoke english and were from United States. It was explained to us that Lulu White was a brothel madam, that was concidered to have more power than the mayor of New Orleans during the late 1800s. Her brothel contained a "Blue Book" that allowed patrons to chose their companion via photos. The Lulu White bar, took this concept and allows you to chose your drink according to the individuals photographed in the "Blue book". We were told the individuals listed in the book change about every 6 months but the Lulu White drinks remains constant. I tried the Lulu White: Altos Anejo Tequila, Plymouth Gin, Genepi, Absentroux, and Cardamon noir. It came in a elegant beautiful glass and It tasted like a dry martini with a licorice flavor from the absinthe. This was definitley a drink you sip on to enjoy. The décor of the bar, resembled historical New Orleans with its dim lighting and elegant décor and half moon booth seating. This was a great surprise, and I recomment anyone to stop by and check it out!

Not sure if the ensemble is there every weekend, but they made a great trio. I'd visit when/if in Pigalle again.
