I love New York and everything about it so when LES opened, I wanted to see if they're bagels was worth the hype. Though nothing compares to standing on a chill New York side street with a warm bagel and cup of coffee in each hand, LES Bagels delivers. With different types of bagels to choose from (plain, poppy, etc.), there are even more fillings to choose from! Sun dried tomatoes, bacon, salmon, chilis, and everything you can mix with cream cheese are available for you to choose from and you can order them in single orders or by the tub if you wish to bring it home. But if the basic bagel + cream cheese filling just won't cut it for you, the place serves up some mean sandwiches like the LES. Addiction which comes with scallion cream cheese, LOX, fresh tomatoes, sliced red onions, and capers, all in a pumpernickel bagel. We may not be in New York, but I'll take an LES bagel to remind me of the city any day of the week.

That's why when I heard that a bagel place opened in McKinley Hill, I just had to find it.

The first thing you notice is, for a medium sized coffee and pastry restaurant, it had a super abundant number of servers and waiters. And they were all busy taking care or the customers. The menu items were wonderful. The parties were fresh and tasted great. The drinks prepared perfectly. Everything was presented nicely by smiling staff members. It's hard to pick just one or two items we enjoyed. There were four of us and we had a great time at reasonable prices. Give it a try if you're in GB3.

The food quality is almost always consistent and is very delicious. Service is very professional. The ambience and decor of the restaurant feature decades of Filipino history through pictures on the wall (Greenbelt Makati location) and are very unique overall. The absolute best Wildflour location for those looking for peak ambience is the one in Quezon City, South Triangle. It looks small on the outside, but as you walk inside, you will be shocked by how massive and beautiful it is. For food items, my personal favorites are the Beef Tapa, Fried Chicken with Biscuits and Gravy (4 massive pieces of perfectly fried chicken that beat any fried chicken spot in the U.S.), and the Clubhouse Sandwich (all on the lunch menu, which opens at 1:00 P.M.). Everything we have tried on the lunch menu was very delicious. Now, one major critique I have is regarding their breakfast menu. Their options for their breakfast menu can get boring really fast, which is why I recommend only going during lunchtime (1:00 P.M. as of 1/18/26). Specifically, I ordered the Wildflour Breakfast (swapping out the sausage for the Bacon Steak). The Bacon Steak is incredible. It almost melts in your mouth and is very delicious. However, what downgrades it heavily is what it's accompanied with, that being dry fried potatoes, 2 decent sunny-side-up eggs (or scrambled or poached if you choose), and one long stick of hard and dry--what looks to be--sourdough bread just slapped on top of everything. It just made the entire dish dry and unpleasant to eat. One location provided strawberry jam and butter (Quezon City, South Triangle); however, another one I visited in Greenbelt Makati did not. As a fix, I recommend serving the Bacon Steak on top of some greens (arugula) that's topped with a slight drizzle of cracked pepper agave syrup and ricotta, keeping the side of eggs, and swapping out the fried potatoes for country potatoes. If they would still like to serve bread, change it to 2 slices of sourdough toast, lightly toasted, with butter and jam consistently served along with the toast on the side. Next is the Benedict. When I ordered the Benedict, it did look incredible. It's served on top of thick--what looks to be--biscuits, 2 slices of bacon per biscuit, avocado, tomatoes, perfect sunny-side-up eggs, and hollandaise sauce. One major issue, however, is that they add too little hollandaise sauce, making it drier as you continue eating it. The avocados can also be noticeably unripe and hard. The biscuits themselves are nothing special and are way too large, in my honest opinion. I simply recommend they add more hollandaise sauce, as it should be dripping from the top of the egg to the bottom of the plate, since the hollandaise sauce is what adds the majority of the flavor in a Benedict. They could also tone down the size of the biscuits by at least half a centimeter in order to make it more properly portioned in relation to everything else on top of them. I also believe this height issue will solve another major issue I had, which was that it was super messy to eat. I went from knife and fork to needing my spoon to scoop everything up. Otherwise, Wildflour is an incredibly unique restaurant that offers delicious food!

Your experience here is definitely dependent upon the employee(s). When there is only one employee and there is more than one customer in line, you'll definitely be waiting longer than you would in comparison to their branch at Greenbelt 5. They have a nice selection of breakfast sets which includes a small cup of coffee or tea. I have ordered their bagel with salmon (lox) breakfast set to go or take out. They surprisingly gave me a very generous amount of lox. On the other hand, I could see my toasted bagel right through the very small amount of cream cheese that was given. I was totally happy with the amount of lox. I was thankful that I ordered extra cream cheese. Unfortunately, they forgot to give me my cream cheese. My husband went back to get it for me, and they apologized for forgetting. There was a morning in which there was only one employee. I ordered 2 bagels with cream cheese breakfast sets. I noticed I was short changed. I asked for my receipt. As I was holding my change in my hand and about to explain that I was not given back the correct amount of change, she handed me 50 Pesos. She knew that she had not given me the correct amount of change. I was given my partial order. As I was about to ask her for the rest of my order, she asked me to wait as she was making the orders for two other customers that were after me. After I waited, I informed her that I was missing my large Ice Blended Mocha. I also ordered extra cream cheese. When I got home, we noticed that the bagels were not toasted. They were just warm bagels. I remember when this place opened many years ago. The service is in no way close to yesteryears.

The small restaurant is usually bursting in its seams with diners especially during lunch time when office-goers are on break. Since I moved back to Las Piñas, it has been a bit far for me to head to Pasig to get my bacon slab fix so I have been going to their Makati branch more often. I have tried a few things like their traditional beef stew (perfect with red wine!) and their German sausage and cheese platter, from which I usually choose the kielbasa, bratwurst and frankfurter for sausages, then gorgonzola, pecorino and manchego for cheese. A must try in my opinion would be their bacon which is two thick slabs of cured pork, served with eggs and topped over bacon rice. Yes, rice cooked with bacon bits in bacon oil. Perfect for bacon lovers! Aside from serving good food, they also sell a good variety of wine, some bottled spreads and preserves, a few kinds of hard-to-find cheese, and their very own homemade sausages which you can buy frozen, by the kilo.
