We ordered donuts for the office and it was fun to see what items they have in PH that are not in the US. Team told me I needed to try the Choco Butternut donut and they didn't stray me wrong. read more

I took the opportunity to find these bagels when my work meeting was situated nearby and I was forced to get my butt to McKinley Hill. I went here for a bagel and instead I got a veggie sandwich because it seemed like a better, heartier choice for someone who is HANGRY. It came with artichokes (which didn't really taste much like anything, but doesn't it make the sandwich description seem much fancier? And the price, higher? I mean at 230 pesos for a veggie sandwich, I would expect rainbows coming out of every bite). I had the mayo replaced with mustard so it's vegan, and the mustard really improved the flavor, as I would imagine if it was mayo it would be bland and tad bit disappointing. The slice of wheat sandwich bread was really soft and beautiful, but it became soggy quite quickly. Guess there's a reason why this place isn't named L.E.S. Sandwiches, because the bagels are really glorious (and vegan!). I decided to get a cinnamon raisin bagel to go, and I'm glad I did because it was really worth the Php60 price tag. It was flavorful, dense and chewy (in a good way), and quite sizeable, too. What a beautiful bagel! If only they would open a branch in Makati... and if they came up with vegan-friendly version of their cream cheese dips...or hummus! I'd be so happy.

Lox, black pepper truffle, garlic and chives, blueberry -- spread 'em thickly on my all-wheat bagel, please!! And guess what, they do fulfill your cream cheese dreams here - get ready a thick, thick, thick bed of cream cheese in between your sliced bagel. And of course, we must talk about the bagel. Probably the best in Manila. Really good texture and flavor. Not bland, not overpowering, just the right punch to complement your cream cheese choice. My favorites? Lox + all-wheat bagel and their blueberry cream cheese + chocolate bagel. Just one rant, though: the place can feel a bit stuffy even with the aircon on full blast. But yeah, good thing their bagels distract from this every single time.

I usually order either Sno Board or Triple Choco Boom. The former is quite the best of both worlds. While Triple Choco Boom is definitely something chocolate lovers will enjoy - chocolate bread covered and topped with even more chocolate! Best part of this place is that they sell everything marked down by 20% once the clock reaches 5pm. My Lola is a regular here, so it was really nice getting to see a part of her everyday routine while we were visiting for the month. It made the experience feel more personal and special. It's why it fills me with unnecessary, beaming pride when I introduce to friends the 24/7 Dunkin' Donuts in our area of Aurora-Balete. It's been there as far back as I can remember, and even though now DD's strawberry candy sprinkles only cover a fraction of the donut and choco butternut has been relegated to being a "premium" donut (no more do they join your regular box of munchkins), I still come back regularly to the local DD for a bite. They're pretty spacious and quiet enough, considering they're beside a main avenue. It's an evening oasis as there are few else businesses near it that would be open--just the gasoline station beside it and the convenience store across the street. It's perfect for a post-last full show dessert coming from Magnolia, an alternative to your usual coffee places for your study session, or a midnight jaunt for a late night pig-out.

With the arrival of Krispy Kreme, my dedication to my beloved Dunkin Donuts faded (but not my love), and now I've had my fill of Krispy Kreme donuts, I'm finally back to Dunkin Donuts' less sweet and more familiar flavors. I think they underwent some sort of rebranding, because there are lot more Dunkin Donuts cafes now, and a wider selection that caters to older crowds now, with flavors like Cinnamon and Red Velvet. Still, Dunkin Donuts is back in my heart as my favorite donut to nibble on for an afternoon snack, and it sure helps that it's lighter on the pocket! The only reason this isn't getting 5 stars is because this particular stall has such a small selection, and the station it's in is very crowded.

I ordered a double shot espresso and it came with a regular sugar donut. I also ordered a matcha green tea donut but I wasn't able to eat it b/c I was eating too many sweets after our time here. -------------- Then my family and I came here again when we were shopping for stuff to bring back home and we all needed a caffeine boost. The server that helped me out was working again and she greeted me b/c she remembered me... and it was really sweet of her. I bought the orange cup and saucer combo and the friendly server went beyond her call of duty and packed that cup and saucer thoroughly. I was really impressed and no cracks when I opened it back here. Overall, the main story: friendly staff and good donuts. Not too sweet but just right. If you have a sweet tooth... well worth checking out! To the management: well done on your staff being helpful and friendly.

Now that the branch at Temple Drive has opened--ironically, right next to Starbucks too--people from Quezon City don't have to travel all the way to Makati just to get a taste of their signature cakes. My quest for party-size banoffee pie is finally over!) Since I already know what the banoffee pie tastes like, I ended up ordering an entire box of apple pie with walnuts and a dozen of chocolate crinkles. It wasn't very sweet, which was good 'coz I was overloaded with sweets that day. The custard was pretty great, too. Although my partner said that the creampuff was less flavorful than other local creampuffs in the market. The bread barely tasted at all and the filling didn't compensate the whole thing. Oh well. The Salted Caramel Banana was a winner! It was served to us with a small banana candy on top!! How cute!! It tasted like liquified banana cake. The Mocha Jelly's jelly was so small, it fitted through a normal-sized straw (whereas other cafes who offer jelly fraps that needs to use bigger straws). The drink wasn't sweet, just the way I like my mocha fraps should be. More of dark, unsweetened cocoa thing. One thing I've noticed was their location.
