LeRoux Kitchen is my happy place. As a passionate baker and cook, I get several items and supplies here especially that my family usually gets me a gift card. I also get presents from here. To those who don't know, they also have samples of olive oil right in this location. I prefer the Scarborough location since they have their own parking spaces. The folks who run the place are also really nice and helpful without being overbearing. Some prices can be high but you get quality stuff. I wish they still sell chocolate bars from Davao, Philippines! read more

I'm almost a kid in a candy store when walking through a place like this. I "promised" a friend of mine that I wouldn't go crazy in this store, but one step into Xanadu and I completely forgot what I was in there to purchase. I enjoyed perusing the aisles and displays to look for things I didn't even know I needed. There's a fine line between 'want' and 'need' and that line is easily erased here. The prices are the first thing you'll notice. While they are not necessarily "high" for quality items and equipment, they are a little on the pricier side. Perhaps that's unfair to say since all the Le Creuset stuff is placed right in the front of the store. I did end up getting some charming plates (I already have the perfect dish in mind) and a few other little gadgets that I decided I ultimately "needed". They are friendly here. Though I did not ask for assistance personally, I overheard someone else ask one of the gents working there about the difference between the cheaper and more expensive pans and he was quite thorough with his layman's response. I love stores like this but somehow I felt that they had just a little bit less variety than I would have liked. They do seem to favor a handful of brands, leaving options pretty minimal. Still, it is a big space and the selection/quality decimates a place like Target or BB&B. Yes. I'm sure I'll return someday soon. read more

I have been a customer of Leroux for a long time. My boss gave me a gift card and it has been misplaced we called the Scarborough location and Greg was very helpful on the phone. He said when we went in that he had the number for the card and we could use it. My husband was looking at knives he wanted a slicer. We browsed the store for other items. Very well organized and very clean. Staff as always is very helpful and knowledgeable. When it came time to check out, Greg had pulled the wrong information for my giftcard, the only thing he had found was a store credit. So what did he do, he took the time by putting on his super sleuth hat and he researched the system based on another purchase we had made! Greg went above and beyond for customer service and LeRoux should be proud to have such an amazing person on staff. I have always loved this store because of the staff and the location. The products are wonderful and I love shopping here for gifts. Some items are bit on the pricey side but others are very reasonable! I terrific cooking store, so far they have had anything I've looked for. The prices on some items are up there as they sell high quality merchandise. I happen to love to cook, so using quality cookware and other kitchen items is generally preferable to me in my own kitchen. I also enjoy just looking at all the stuff! Hard to not find something that I 'need'..... The new ceramic 8" pan is nice option for Teflon, glad I found it there. read more

With its prime location on Commercial, LeRoux sells high-quality products from renowned brands (Le Creuset, anyone?). I've popped in to buy specialty olive oils or vinegars, or to ask their knowledgeable staff on which Bialetti (iconic stovetop Italian espresso maker) is best. Great spot! read more

This is a large kitchen store full of great stuff. Think small area of specialty food items like seasonings, dips, sauces and majority of the space being devoted to tools needed for your kitchen (And ones you never knew existed like a squash scraper). They have pots and pans, kettles, food processing machines, all necessities for coffee, blenders-you name it, as long as you're willing to pay for higher quality brands. I could picture myself coming in here for some gift items too. Overall the store is well organized and staff was quick to direct me to what I was looking for. Recommended. read more

New Location!!! This location is near Bullmoose and Marden's in Scarborough in the old Olympia Sports building for those of you familiar with the area. There is parking a plenty and the store is very open and bright. Need a kitchen gadget you never knew you needed? You'll find it here... for instance, does it take too long for your bottle of wine to breathe before you want to gulp it down? Have no fear, get yourself and aerator and pour that wine through it and BOOM! totally drinkable. Little cows for your creamer, check! They also have Griffon spices and all sorts of gourmet salts and soup mixes and... the list could really go on. Exciting evening tonite! I get to make my monthly sojourn to LeRoux Kitchen. I eat a salad every day (during the week) for lunch. I used to use grocery store balsamic vinegar & EVOO until I discovered LeRoux Kitchen. Now my salads are restaurant quality with their amazing oil & vinegar. My favorite vinegar is the Blackberry Ginger. It's tangy, vibrant and adds just enough kick to my salad. I like to add a teaspoon of the Garlic Olive Oil as well. I can honestly say that after about 1 year of using these oils & vinegar's I can eat a salad every day & not get sick of it. They also sell fun salts, peppers & a lot of other spices, herbs & blends. I've tried the roasted garlic sea salt and I'm a fan. I also tried the tuscan sea salt and something about the flavor does not agree with me so I stick to what I like. It's a great store with lots of things to offer besides oils/vinegars & spices. They have housewares, cutlery, pots, pans, coffee pots, glassware, cutting boards ... the list goes on. One of my favorite every day utencils is a silicon spoonula. I probably use it 4x a week, I love it. It's not cheap but it's worth a trip. I could spend hours & millions but I try to keep it to my oil & vinegar addiction. When you go as often as I do, I bring the bottle back & they fill it for me for a $2 discount!
