I've been saving for a new washer/dryer for about a year now. I've had positive and good experiences with Appliance Warehouse before, so I went back. I had my sites set on a specific stacked unit but the salesman was easily able to convince me otherwise, in that, if one part blew the whole thing was lost. So it was easy to change my mind about buying the washer/dryer as separate units instead. We discussed the height of the stacked units and would that be a challenge for me. No big deal. The additional space I'd gain was worth standing on my toes. The entire process was not without commentary about "the Chinese taking American jobs, Ukrainians trying to scam us, and even his wife who apparently doesn't load the dishwasher correctly". Did he think he was in the company of someone with similar ideologies? I was here to buy appliances, not discuss the global impact of capitalism. And for the record, I believe every human, void of territorial boundaries, deserves the right to work, earn an income, and care for their families. Fast forward to delivery of goods. All went well until it was discovered the cables and hoses weren't going to be long enough given the desired placement. I had already put out $600 to move the plumbing for this renovation job, so yes, I wanted it where I wanted it. These specs should have been part of the sales process, those specific questions should have been addressed then-how big is the room, where are the outlets, where is the access point for the drain and inlet hoses? If I had known I needed something other than the standard sizes, I would have been prepared, as I had a very limited window of time for this project. I'm an expert in my own field and I did expect expert level inquiry from someone in the appliance field. My bad. Do you ever just want something to go your way? The delivery guys left (a trail of mud through my house along with a puddle of water from a dripping hose-but it's March in Maine and I can't exactly fault them for that-it's just one more mess for this overworked teacher to clean up) and advised me to just buy new stuff on Amazon. Ok. What? What do I need? What's the amperage and voltage needs? Will the warranty still be in effect? Will you be coming back to do the installation? Instead of making a phone call, I opted to go back to the store. While there, we reviewed the final fees, subtracted out removal fees, added the stacking fees and I requested additional credit, given that the units I had just bought days before, had now gone on sale. That took some of the sting away. But. I'm still left with two heavy stacked appliances in the middle of my 6' x 6' room that I now need to install, move, and level myself? Can I? Yes. Is it frustrating to me that I have to? Also yes. First world American problem? Indeed. So, my new cables and hoses will arrive next week...from China. In the meantime I guess I will be tripping over my tool boxes and other laundry room detritus until I can take a break from teaching my liberal college agenda, to finish the work a man said they'd do.

I posted this review on Google services at that time figuring I'd wait for them to respond before putting anything up on Yelp. Well, I was disappointed again. No reaction from them. They just don't care. So, please read through this before deciding to go there and it will give you a good idea of what to expect from them: I will never use this shop again for any Kubota or Stihl purchase or service. I was so upset by these people that I had to wait a month before writing this review just to give it a fair chance after calming down. My Kubota BX22 was in need of some routine service to get ready for Spring so I figured Wescott's (especially since it's now an MB shop) would be the place. It originally came from there many years ago, and I wanted someone familiar with the old model to go through it and tune it up. As expected they found a few hydraulic leaks in the lift cylinders and the front gear case, and they took care of that quickly since they had all the parts on hand. I was pleased that they did all that with no big delay. I paid extra for them to pick up and deliver, but I figured it was worth it since they were so quick and efficient. I stopped in there a few days later to thank them for the job well done and even bought a new Stihl chain saw while there. The Farm Boss was a good find, and I expected a little break on the price since it was "Stihl Dealer Days", but the sales guy said they don't really participate since they are so hard to get right now. Oh well. No sooner did I have the saw in my hands and paid for that he brushed me off for another client who walked in. I should have known then what kind of shop it was. So a few days later I was getting some work in with the tractor on muddy ground and became totally stuck. Couldn't figure out why I couldn't get out until I noticed the front drive shaft turning, but the front wheels weren't. The shaft had backed out of the coupling. Seems the pin through the coupling that should also be through the shaft did not go through the shaft when they put it back together. Now the tines of the shaft were buggered up and I couldn't reseat it. Had to remove the shaft completely to fix, but I was pissed now. How can they put this back together like that? The service mechanic was obviously not paying attention or he would have known the shaft needed to have the hole aligned to the hole in the coupling before putting in the pin. So I brought it all back up to Wescott and spoke with the service manager, Doug. He agreed it was done wrong and then all he had to say was, "Oh well. I guess he (the mechanic) was just human." Just a simple mistake?? That's all? No, it was just lazy, inattentive work. He cleaned up the spline of the shaft for me so it would now fit back into the coupling and said that's all they can do. So, now with this, and the lack of attention from the sales guy on the Stihl saw, I have a pretty good idea of what kind of dealership this is. If you're not one of their large commercial or farm accounts you're bothering them. I cannot stress more that this lack of service and caring is cause to stay away from there at all costs. If you're a homeowner or small farmer and figure that you'd like to give your business to a smaller shop instead of one of those big building supply places, look somewhere else. They just don't have time for you. They're not worth the trouble. Yea, I gave them 2 stars. It should be 1 star, but I gave them credit for having stock on hand. Never again. I'll either go to a REAL MB Tractor or to any other local Stihl dealer for any of those needs. I'm looking to upgrade to a new B26 next year, but you can bet I won't be going anywhere near them. Funny thing is, I told them that before all this and they still didn't care.
