Tough day at Leo's in Davison. We saw they had outdoor tables but as we walked up, they obviously hadn't been washed off this season. We decided to order carry out. I tried calling and no one picked up - and the voicemail box was full. Ended up ordering online (with a $1.50 surcharge). I waited in the lot for the pickup time & went in. It was obvious that people were scrambling. The manager (Jared?) was apologizing to a patron that their food wasn't prepared properly and the service was poor. Lack of staff. He checked on my order and was amazed / relieved that the order was being bagged. 20 minutes later, he went and bagged it himself. I looked in the bag - ummm, silverware? No. They ran out. I was unhappy. Hey - pie? Oh, no one explained that? Out. I said to just refund it. Can't do that because that company that charged me $1.50 to take my order has to do it. He offered a substitute and I accepted. VERY messy eating a coney in my car with no napkins or utensils; but I survived. Annoyed, but fed. This place is absolutely ridiculous. Multiple times I have came here and my food is ALWAYS messed up I don't know why I even went today. I told them exactly what I wanted twice and they STILL MESSED IT UP . Literally told them chicken feta lettuce banana peppers and onions wrap with ranch and got chicken tomato peppers feta lettuce and Greek dressing like I told them TWICE .. this place just all around sucks there staff is rude as well .. I will never ever go back they only got one start cause it wouldn't let me post without giving one but it don't even deserve one read more

I don't like giving one star reviews, but I was not pleased with the food this time around. I've always loved Leo's Coney Island. I made sure to always get Leo's at the airport on my way back to California. I ordered several times from this location, and the food was fine. We went in to the restaurant a few weeks ago, and it was atrocious. I ordered the chili cheese nachos, and that was horrible. Then I ordered their version of loaded fries because I wasn't pleased with the nachos, and that was terrible as well. I was very disappointed, and I was over having a meal after that. Waitress.. pleasant enough. But the prices are a bit much, even for todays economy standards. Wanted an two egg special with 1/2 side of biscuits and gravy. It comes with hash browns, but no toast. Well certainly it shouldn't be an issue to substitute wheat toast for hash browns? It is- you can't substitute. But you can purchase the toast for an additional cost. But I'm not eating the hash browns? If you want a side of bacon, that's 2.99 more. But aside from this egg special, no other orders contain biscuits and gravy. You have to order a side, and then add on everything extra. I get it, Nickel and dime your customer. But I wasn't taking that bait today. Ordered something quick, and got out. I recently moved to Davison and have tried this coney a few times. My experience here has been one of poor service. The wait staff tends to have a bad attitude. No smiles and very short with you. They take forever to take your order, today, I had to go find someone to take my order after waiting for a long time. My order has never been correct, right down to not even getting the lemon I asked for in my water. Don't waste your time and money at this coney. There are many other better choices in the town of Davison. I will never set foot in this restaurant again. read more

Went there Sunday morning, restaurant not even 1/2 full. Waited over 30 minutes for a veggie omelet. Obviously very understaffed!

I was in a party of 18. Never got my meal. Asked her to cancel the Michigan Salad as the rest of my party was almost done eating. I'd like an order of fries. I never got them. I had a $5 coupon I tried to use at check out to pay for those I was responsible for but my bill came to $23.89 and it had to be $25 so the cashier wouldn't allow it. Greek Salad served with rotten tomatoes, rotten cucumbers and two lettuce cores were in this meal. I called and spoke with the Manager who could have cared less about what they are serving. When I asked for a refund, she said they will contact Door Dash and it will take several days. It wasn't Door Dash who put spoiled food in the salad. Went in and was greeted nicely, ordered and got drinks. Once food came, there was a hair in my omelette and wasn't warm. It was kinda clean. The waitress talked to a table about personal life for 10 minutes and did not give us our check. After she was done talking, she came over and we asked for a box and she said okay. I'm a frequent diner at this location, and have to say tonight was disappointing. I usually order a chicken pita and it's always come with a choice of sauce for the side; I've always asked for ranch with this; and tonight I was charged .75 cents. I swore the menu says comes with choice of sauce- maybe it doesn't anymore- but either way this is frustrating. I asked for one side of ranch for this pita, and was charged .75 cents. Your prices have already increased enough. I would completely understand if I was asking for numerous sides of ranch, but I wasn't. And secondly, what frustrates me EVEN MORE, is my dad ordered a Leo's Burger, and it had the SMALLEST dollop of mayo on it, so he asked for more, and was also charged .75 cents for a side of MAYO. Are you joking? Maybe if your cooks had added an appropriate amount of mayo to this burger we wouldn't have needed more. I completely understand inflation is happening, but you're nickel and diming your customers and it's outrageous. Lastly, the woman's bathroom soap dispenser doesn't work, and there wasn't an alternate soap option- which is VERY concerning considering this is the same bathroom your female workers use, and they have no access to soap? Extremely bothersome as a customer. The food is always overly greasy, fried items are always over fried, and the restaurant needs some attention. As I pulled into Archie's parking lot around midnight on my last visit there, the signboard out front read "Seniors Night". However, entering Archie's any time after 11pm and this is no longer a welcoming to a 60+ crowd -- it's more like a personal invitation to every high schooler with a car. My friends and I came in for some drinks and dessert, and at 27 we were easily older than everyone there, including our waitress. Tangents aside, Archie's is a solid late night spot and just generally a solid diner. Their menu is huuuuge, food tastes good/great depending on what you get, and there's lots of cushy booth seating. Came into eat around 9pm and a waitress came up asked our drink order brought the waters back and never came back again, we asked other waitresses to get her, she never came, I saw her stocking and went to ask what was up, she totally ignored me. Was very disappointed ordered take out and I get mistakes happen. First of all I was told food would take about 15 minutes showed up in 20 was not ready not a big deal I waited everyone gets busy when I get home I did ask for minus tomatoes on mine they did not do that I was going to over look. I placed a carry out order. The person at the register was so over whelmed she asked my name multiple times. Then acted like she could not find my order. She then helped other carry out customers and then found mine tucked in a corner. I had a fountain drink and didn't get a straw and my order was missing pita bread. Walked in at 9:20 and sat at a booth for ten minutes before a girl came over to take our drink order. We told her we we ready to place our order. She said she was not our waitress. I asked where she was and was told she was working a party of eight. Now mind you there was a party of eight that were already seated and two booths with a total of eight people in the whole restaurant. . There was three waitresses standing in front of the food pick up counter. We had even make eye contact with two of the girls and we were completely ignored. We don't understand why this Leo's in Davison is so slow and non-caring with their customers. Was not worth the aggravation so we walked out. Good golly. I've never left a review in my life but I think this place deserves some kind words. In a restaurant that was maybe at 10% capacity and seemingly 1 waitstaff per table, the wait time for napkins, silverware, waters and ranch (all received separately) was an amazing minimum of 5 minutes! Outstanding. The best part about the meal had to have been the cold soup that we had for dessert. This must be a new phenomenon to eat lemon rice soup AFTER your entire meal but whoever started this trend was a genius. I do have to complain a bit about the temperature though. When we inquired about our soups when our dinner arrived, we were told the kitchen was heating it up. Then 10 minutes later they had started a new batch. Wonderful! Fresh soups ... yum. Another 10 minutes passed and our dessert soups had finally arrived. And we had plenty of room to eat them since our table had already beeb cleared. Took about 30-35 minutes from our ordering of the soups until we got them but it was a fresh batch so it must be delicious. Or it might have been if it wasn't room temperature. No worries though, I will just have it heated up. And what wonderfully fast service. The 30+ minute wait time record for the original soup was blown away and the nee record stood at 15 seconds. Soup so hot that I am convinced the ceramic bowl it cane in was beginning to melt. All I needed now was a refill on my ice tea and all will be right. Nothing like an overflowing cup of ice tea but obviously I wanted to ice. Thanks to Leo's for this wonderful quick dinner out. Your service levels sure are something else. P.S. Just stay away from this place. We try it every 6 months or so and always the same. Maybe we've finally learned our lesson. read more

We eat a Leo's 5-6 times a month. Food and service are normally great. I called tonight to order a salad on the way home from work. I was put on hold for 5-6 minutes and I had to call back. The phone was finally answered and I was put on hold again. When finally picked up, he asked me for my phone number. I had to give it to him 3 times because he was talking to someone else each time. I placed my order twice but it wasn't heard because he was having a conversation with someone else. After telling him that I had already given it to him twice. His rude response was "I can't help it if four other people are talking to me do you want to order or go down the street to Apollo". Thanks, my wife and I are now eating at the Apollo Coney Island. I have came to this Coney island many times in the past. I just left tonight and will never be back. We walked in with 2 hours before closing, with a party of 6. Our server Lindsay was rude, slow, and inattentive from the git-go. Lindsay repeatedly ignored requests and another server had to take her place. I'm sorry if you get this sad excuse of a waitress. Leo's has always been good to us. The service is quick, which having a little one is a huge plus. Drink refills are always to us before our glass is empty. The food is you typical Coney food but they are so accommodating that it brings us back. Clean booths and whenever a table isn't clean yet they are quick to get it clean. Been here a few times. Usually without a problem. Tonight I ordered the cod fish dinner with lemon and pepper. The cup of soup that came with the dinner was only half full. It bugged me a little bit but oh well. The fish was quite good. Flavor full and not overcooked. I got to the baked potato I ate the inside first. When I got to the outside, I took a bite and it was obvious it was never washed much less scrubbed. Gritty and dirty. In fact as I was explaining it to the waitress, it was still gritty and could taste dirt. She replied "Do you want another side?" I said no its dirty I have grit in my teeth. She asked what I want and I said I wanted it taken off. She said she would go get the manager. I could hear her talking in the back. Then she said the cook (manager?) couldn't come out because they were in their full cook's uniform. (huh?) I said ok. She set the bill down and they only took off the baked potato. I still have grit and crunchy dirt in my teeth and they made me pay for the rest of my meal. On top of that, the manager didn't feel like I was worth talking to. Plus, this is one of those restaurants that make you declare your tip to the cashier. This is a little uncomfortable since sometimes its your waitress who is ringing you up. Just a little tacky.
