I strongly advise against using this realty group. Their lack of attention to detail and unethical business practices made my move-in experience a complete nightmare. Upon moving into my apartment, I discovered that the keys provided by my realtor, Jay Mahoney, didn't work. Despite multiple attempts to reach him for assistance, I received no response. This left me in a frustrating situation where I had to contact the landlord directly, only to find out that they were unaware of my early move-in, which Jay had supposedly arranged. This miscommunication resulted in unnecessary stress and conflicts with the landlord, who demanded additional fees for the early move-in. After rushing to the landlord's office to resolve the issue, Jay finally responded to my messages. However, instead of taking responsibility for the mistake, he seemed more concerned about covering his tracks. He failed to meet me at the office as promised, leaving me to deal with the situation alone. To add insult to injury, I later discovered that Jay had charged me a broker fee that had already been paid by the landlord. This blatant double-dipping is unacceptable and reflects poorly on their integrity as real estate professionals. Furthermore, it was shocking to learn from the property manager that ensuring the functionality of keys is a basic responsibility of a realtor, one that Jay clearly neglected. Overall, this experience cost me not only financially but also in terms of time and stress. I attempted to address my concerns with the company but received no response. I strongly caution against engaging with this realty group. Their poor communication, shady practices regarding broker fees, and disregard for client satisfaction will undoubtedly result in unnecessary expenses and headaches on move-in day. read more

I worked with Jonathan and had a great experience! I am moving to Boston from Florida for graduate school and was immediately overwhelmed trying to find an apartment, especially because I would be living by myself for the first time! Being totally unfamiliar with Boston, location within close proximity to campus was of optimal importance to me, and Jonathan immediately understood that. He showed me about 10 apartments, all within reasonable walking distance to campus and close to the T, and even took the time to also explain to me the different features (parking, restaurants, bars, laundromats, etc) around each apartment so that I would be familiar with the area come move-in day. After the showings, Jonathan also helped me decide which apartment would best suit me (in terms of the different features in and around each apartment), which really helped me making my final decision (one I am VERY happy with!). It then took only a few moments to fill out some paperwork before I was all set! I am very thankful I had the chance to work with Jonathan on making this very important decision and have recommended him to other students moving to the area. He definitely listens to what you want and that alone made this whole process MUCH less stressful (and also not very time consuming)! I found a place on apartments.com that Don Zollo called me back about. He seemed weirdly unprofessional from the start, but I wanted to give him a chance. We scheduled a tour (that he refused to send me a link to because it apparently didn't have pictures) and then he cancelled it 18 hours in advance and proceeded to claim the tenants were on a "power trip" for not allowing a showing without 24 hours notice and that they were being "pains in the butt". This was obviously wildly unprofessional so I clearly stated that I would expect the same courtesy as a tenant and didn't want to work with a realtor where this could become a recurring problem as my time is valuable and cancelling last minute because he didn't get important information in advance is unacceptable. He then called me passive aggressive when I was simply being direct. So please, do yourself a favor and work with an actual professional who doesn't do cringey comedy on the side. Also, I read the replies to other negative reviews, and I have no doubt one of the founders of this company will be leaving a passive aggressive (or simply aggressive) reply, and I think that speaks for itself as well. read more

Angel Brito is the most effective real estate agent I've had the pleasure of working with. I was contacted by him shortly after requesting more information on an apartment rental online. Angel is very mindful of the fast-paced housing market in the Boston area, and does a fantastic job preparing and educating his clients so that they can move confidently at this pace. Apartments in this area are rented out so quickly that even the slightest delay in your application or decision making process can cause you to miss the opportunity all together. Because of this, Angel is very proactive in communicating to his clients exactly what to expect throughout the process, and what the timeline will realistically look like from start to finish. He is very honest, personable, and just a lot of fun to work with. I've always thought the concept of brokers' fees were ridiculous (so I'm clearly NOT from the Boston area originally), However, if you're working with the right agent, you will leave feeling that they genuinely deserve the amount owed to them. Jonathan is as professional as they come, and made the process of looking for a home very stream lined and stress free. First, he spoke with my fiance and I at great length to see what type of home would be best suited for us. Then, we were allowed access to an online system that showed us homes for sale in whatever geographic area we chose, and with "filters" set up to help focus our search. I've always dreaded looking for apartments...especially in the current Boston market! I stumbled upon a nice studio listing in Beacon Hill by Brian Graham at Leopold & McMasters. What drew me to this ad is that it had a video walk through. Sooooooo many times agents put up pictures that aren't even of the actual unit! Why waste your time? I was able to meet Brian that day to look at the apartment. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Most importantly though, the pictures and videos were of the exact unit that were in the ad. For a professional that works tons of hours and doesn't want to waste her time, this is exactly what I was looking/hoping for. Jason Mahoney was a great help to me trying to move from Washington DC to Boston with only one day to view apartments and less than 4 weeks to find an apartment, sign the lease and move out-of-state! He has an amazing knowledge of the greater Boston area as he's lived and worked in so many areas and was able to give me a true breakdown and understanding of what area would be the best fit for me. Moving with a pet is difficult in Boston, and during a pandemic, but he was able to only recommend units that met my criteria - pet friendly, affordable, spacious, close to my job and close to scenic walking trails. I have lived in Boston for nearly the last five years, and in those last years I have used 4 different realtors. Never have I ever had such a fantastic and trustworthy experience with a realtor. I worked with Jonathan Goldman and he was fantastic. I'm so used to realtors constantly trying to "upsell" other apartments and give me something I don't want and more importantly can't afford. Jon was not like that, he was incredibly transparent, honest, and above all accommodating. I work a lot and my girlfriend is from out of the area so we were probably more needy than other clients but it certainly didn't felt like it. I'm long winded, so just pointing out one fav part of my experience: Angel Brito managed to squeeze me in for a showing the day after I first messaged, but also sent over a video he'd taken earlier. I loved it, it really helped me make most of my decision before I even got there. Watched it on repeat, sent it to my family to check out as well. I ended up looking through his other apt videos on his page (just in case, lol). Unlike other people's videos, Angel is more thorough. Seeks out the nooks and crannies, opens every mystery door (my favorite part), and makes comments on how it looks - makes it easier to get a real feel for the apartment. By the time I actually got to visit, I didn't need to spend as much time looking around, and was instead able to pester Angel with many questions (he had all the answers and more).
