If you want to spend time with sick people, then go to the Leper Lounge. This is not that. This is a nice vintage clothing shop with tons of selection. It's fun looking at all the old clothes. I especially like the band shirt selection. Their pricing is varied, but if you rummage around, you can find a good deal. They also have some nice accessories. I didn't find anything for myself here, but my friend found a pink sequin top. I don't think she'll let me wear it, though. Even though I want to (tosses hair). If you have some time to kill, you should stop in here.

If you fancy antique vintage looking clothing that you noticed was popular back in your day, I'd recommend you visit this little shop here. They have some good clothing that'll make you reminisce the good ole days when times were simple, easy-going and when people weren't addicted to their cellphones. Yup, I'd tell you what I visited this place since my mum had to locate her some country western cowboy attire for my cousin's wedding that I wasn't attending. She did find herself some nice not faded clothing. I loved how they had everything so organized from each era. However, the cowboy boots collection needs to either be recycled or go ahead to the trash house because the boots looked raggedy, torn up, overused and abused. The boots looked rough! The denim selection looked stylish, but this isn't by far the cheapest thrift shop you can visit. The price tag definitely shows the dollar amount in full. Also, the bag section isn't the best, but it all depends on the person really. I was hoping to find another wool bag that I already have, but I got that one from an Estate Sale near my house. The owner of the place reminds me of that guy from Halloween Town because of the way he dressed. Brightly colored shirt and pants, hair from a different year and how friendly he was when he assisted my mum and I. Whenever I start big banking, I'll come back here to add to my wardrobe.

Best selection of vintage jeans I've found anywhere. I've also walked away from here with some of my favorite pieces-sweaters, dresses, pants, and all from different decades. This is a store you could visit 3 days in a row and discover new (amazing) pieces every time. read more

This place was super awesome. Dad and I went in to get him an outfit for a 60's party. The selection was great and everything is authentic. The guy was extremely helpful and really got into helping us put an outfit together. I was even able to find an everyday t-shirt that was cool. Definitely going back when I have more time to filter through all the clothes. You could tell the guy was really proud of his selection. read more

I've lived in the Montrose neighborhood essentially my entire life and I've always adored this quirky vintage shop. They have some of the most unique items you'll ever find, as well as an incredibly friendly and helpful staff. I love it here! Not only is it revamped to be more affordable, Will, the salesman was EXTREMELY helpful. My 2-year-old nephew was getting antsy while my sister and I shopped and Will ingeniously gave him a little mini-project to keep him occupied. It was adorable! This used to be the edgy used clothing store, the most hot topic-esque, if you will. I *have* found things here, especially accessories and outerwear, though it's all very casual stuff. It's lost a bit of its rock and roll flair over the years, but it's still one of the more fun (and less pretentious) used clothing stores on this strip. read more

Wait what, I need a western shirt for the Rodeo? wait now I need a 50's style dress for a murder mystery party? 80's dress for Prom Rewind? This place is gold. I know some of the stuff is pricey but I have always gotten great stuff for a reasonable price. One of the highlights of my trip to H-town. Nicely curated selection (but as others noted the pricing can be a bit random). For a markup price, but still no where near what you'd pay at a retail store, Pavement filters a lot of the boring thrift items out. That way, you're more likely to find something you like without having to look too hard. Some of the finds here are quite impressive. I've bought a couple of graphic tees over the years, never paying more than $15 each despite them looking new. One of them has even landed in my rotation about once a week. Pavement's role as a trendy semi-thrift store works well for its location; I often find myself popping in for only 20-30 minutes, either right before or after grabbing a bite with friends, because that's all the time I need to browse the already-curated merchandise. In short, this is a great place to upgrade your wardrobe without breaking the bank or combing through hundreds of pieces at a time. The chances of walking out with something in hand is still hit or miss, similarly to any conventional thrift store, but I like my odds way better when I walk in here.
