If you want to spend time with sick people, then go to the Leper Lounge. This is not that. This is a nice vintage clothing shop with tons of selection. It's fun looking at all the old clothes. I especially like the band shirt selection. Their pricing is varied, but if you rummage around, you can find a good deal. They also have some nice accessories. I didn't find anything for myself here, but my friend found a pink sequin top. I don't think she'll let me wear it, though. Even though I want to (tosses hair). If you have some time to kill, you should stop in here.

If you fancy antique vintage looking clothing that you noticed was popular back in your day, I'd recommend you visit this little shop here. They have some good clothing that'll make you reminisce the good ole days when times were simple, easy-going and when people weren't addicted to their cellphones. Yup, I'd tell you what I visited this place since my mum had to locate her some country western cowboy attire for my cousin's wedding that I wasn't attending. She did find herself some nice not faded clothing. I loved how they had everything so organized from each era. However, the cowboy boots collection needs to either be recycled or go ahead to the trash house because the boots looked raggedy, torn up, overused and abused. The boots looked rough! The denim selection looked stylish, but this isn't by far the cheapest thrift shop you can visit. The price tag definitely shows the dollar amount in full. Also, the bag section isn't the best, but it all depends on the person really. I was hoping to find another wool bag that I already have, but I got that one from an Estate Sale near my house. The owner of the place reminds me of that guy from Halloween Town because of the way he dressed. Brightly colored shirt and pants, hair from a different year and how friendly he was when he assisted my mum and I. Whenever I start big banking, I'll come back here to add to my wardrobe.

Best selection of vintage jeans I've found anywhere. I've also walked away from here with some of my favorite pieces-sweaters, dresses, pants, and all from different decades. This is a store you could visit 3 days in a row and discover new (amazing) pieces every time. read more

This place was super awesome. Dad and I went in to get him an outfit for a 60's party. The selection was great and everything is authentic. The guy was extremely helpful and really got into helping us put an outfit together. I was even able to find an everyday t-shirt that was cool. Definitely going back when I have more time to filter through all the clothes. You could tell the guy was really proud of his selection. read more

Ok selection, but nothing exceptional or vintage. Mainly recent used clothing, inexpensive new clothing and shoes, tons of not-so interesting t-shirts. There are better places in Houston, if you're into retro, vintage finds. Clerk was distinctly unfriendly. read more

I love it here! Not only is it revamped to be more affordable, Will, the salesman was EXTREMELY helpful. My 2-year-old nephew was getting antsy while my sister and I shopped and Will ingeniously gave him a little mini-project to keep him occupied. It was adorable! Then, when I told Will what I was looking for, he showed me right to it and even made suggestions. I love everything vintage and I will certainly be back! Thanks Will! read more

This used to be the edgy used clothing store, the most hot topic-esque, if you will. I *have* found things here, especially accessories and outerwear, though it's all very casual stuff. It's lost a bit of its rock and roll flair over the years, but it's still one of the more fun (and less pretentious) used clothing stores on this strip. read more

I've lived in the Montrose neighborhood essentially my entire life and I've always adored this quirky vintage shop. They have some of the most unique items you'll ever find, as well as an incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Wait what, I need a western shirt for the Rodeo? wait now I need a 50's style dress for a murder mystery party? 80's dress for Prom Rewind? This place is gold. I know some of the stuff is pricey but I have always gotten great stuff for a reasonable price. One of the highlights of my trip to H-town. Nicely curated selection (but as others noted the pricing can be a bit random). We found the tag that was originally on the skirt saying $15 and they refused to honor the price they had LABELED on the skirt and instead upped the price because they didn't believe the price tag was the one they'd placed on the skirt. Regular "thrift" stores are WAY nicer. Girl at the register with the blue hair was insanely rude. Honestly not worth the hype, prices, or items they sell. Go ANYWHERE else.

We spent there much time, because this store has many interesting, unique and stylish clothes. The quality was not bad and the prices are reasonable. You're lucky to even find anything that's Nike or Banana Republic. That may be as "nice" as it gets in terms of name brand stuff. Lots of parking, but make sure your car is locked. But it turned out that this gem was the real highlight of our day. First, it's HUGE! There is no doubt that this is the largest, brightest, and most well organized resale shop we've ever visited. It's so well thought out, and it's actually attractive. Unlike comparable venues, this one is not messy, but rather everything is in it's place, easy to locate, and a superb bargain. But the greatest value when visiting here is the staff of volunteers. They are nothing less than wonderful, with their incredibly hospitality and their very obvious joy in being there. They were so helpful, and accommodating. We spent some time with Elizabeth, Pearl, and Laura. What a wonderful way to pass some time. It's hard to express how they extended themselves to make certain that we left entirely satisfied. We just couldn't wait to let others know that this little jewel is there waiting for you on Blalock, and to tell others that they'll be completely pleased when they stop by. A great group, and a fantastic store. Who could have possibly known that this was here, and that we would be so fortunate to park there for the festival. They mainly do business with vintage shops and boutiques, but they have recently decided to open their doors to the public on the last Saturday of each month. The set-up of Top Vintage is like a warehouse (of win). However, if you are expecting a disorganized joint where shoppers are left to fend for themselves, you are sorely mistaken. They have all their items arranged into areas and bins, from dresses to overalls to jackets to shorts to shoes to bags/backpacks. During July's Top Saturday, they even hand-picked some black and white items to go on separate racks for easier browsing. As a vintage shopper, it is a prime source of goods and the Saturday events are like treasure hunts. It's that much more rewarding to take something home when you know you've worked to discover it. The staff is very kind and helpful and it is a great environment to shop.
