This was my first time at Leon's Salon. I visited the website for Leon's on Battleground to review…read moreservices and pricing. I chose the service for shampoo/cut/styling for $45 dollars. I called and made an appointment with Sara confirming the price of 45.00 for chosen services. Upon my arrival I could tell that Sara was in a bad mood. She was definitely not friendly. Her vibe was very off. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and asked her if she could successfully complete the cut for my hair. She said she could. She immediately started cutting my hair dry. She cut it much shorter than the picture. I was so intimidated by her bad attitude and service that I didn't dare tell her that she skipped my shampoo and styling. She then had the audacity to charge me $40 dollars for a horrible haircut. I am 61 years old and have NEVER been treated with such disrespect and rudeness by a hair stylist. Total ripoff!!!

I had previously booked an appointment for another day and time, but wasn't able to make it then. The staff was very sweet about rescheduling my appointment to a Saturday morning. My appointment was with Kayla, and she was super sweet the entire time. She listened to my concerns and visions, and then shared her thoughts on the same. I have curly wavy hair, so she suggested lengths and cuts that would suit my face and hair type. She was really helpful throughout. My total included a hair wash, hair cut, and blow dry. I think their charges are reasonable and the service is great! Would definitely recommend.

For it to lay nicely and feel good it's not just a pair of scissors doing the work. Yadira listened to what I wanted for my cut. My hair feels so fresh and lays beautifully imo. I don't love the way the phones are answered. I wasn't sure if it was ai or a real person. Felt very scripted. No shade towards Alkali it's a beautiful salon and I'm sooo happy with my cut. Just an observation. Id prefer a more comfy/relaxed phone call. So glad I don't judge a book by its cover. Yadira was so easy to talk to. Bonding over books and com coms. Made it easy to spend an hour with someone I've never met. But, most importantly she did a great job! My hair feels and looks so good!

I found Tika about a year ago, thanks to others leaving honest and great reviews about her and the salon. My hair is finally long and the highlights are perfect ( and have been since my first appt with her). I drive 2.5 hours each way to get my hair done by her and I would drive 8 hours if I had to. I am a colorist myself and I'm picky, so this should be a testament to her skills. Thank you, Tika !

I am visiting Winston Salem from another state so I don't know anyone here that could recommend me…read morea place for a good haircut. I found the Refinery with good reviews online. I called just for a haircut and they gave me an appointment for a little bit later the same day which surprised me but I was pleased. They said the price was $45 which is much cheaper than what I pay where I live. The issue is that the girl that cut my hair is just learning ( therefore the price I assume) I could have someone at home do my haircut. I don't mind someone learning but another senior person at the salon should have come to review and show this girl how to do it better, so right now I'm still in need of a good haircut and out of $55 with the tip. Just beware.

This Dominicana salon is small but mighty! I had been specifically looking for a Dominican shop…read morebecause I had been connected to one in Michigan that was very good with my hair. I hoped to get a haircut, hair color, and styling, but I knew I wanted a "Dominican blowout." I was blessed to find this shop that could do it all! Jireh Beauty Salon is open every day except Monday. The owner is lovely and exceptionally professional. She listened to my concerns and explained her professional opinion; the results were gorgeous. It is exactly what I wanted. Her years of professional experience shine through in the methodology she uses to prep every step. She respected that I was not too fond of certain things done to/used on my hair (like Keratin), and I felt very comfortable the entire time. I will be coming back regularly for my color maintenance.

They were STILL doing more people with wet hair! Another hour goes by and at this point, no one has said a word to me. No one would even look at me. I walked out the door at about 1:13PM without my hair done. I will never go back there. Huge waste of my time.

Bria is the best hairdresser I've ever had-go see her!…read more I tried out some of the higher end salons in downtown Greensboro with mediocre results for such expensive services. I was considering growing out a pixie cut and just needed a trim to clean up the back and texturize the rest. I decided to give Regis a shot since I knew they accepted walk-ins. I was lucky enough to be seen by Bria and went back to her ever since. She did such a great job with my initial trim, I have continued with the short hair life. She is friendly, easy to talk to, and really takes the time to listen to exactly what you want. She's had short hair too, so she knows all the ins and outs of cutting and styling hair the best way possible. She even remembers certain, specific ways I like it cut, so I never have to worry that I won't get exactly what I want. The cuts she has given me grow out so well too-something that I once thought impossible with short hair! The experience with the entire staff has always been positive -from quick and easy appointments on the phone, to friendly greetings and the way the staff interacts with each other and customers, I always looked forward to my time there. I recently moved states, and I've been avoiding getting my haircut by someone new because Bria did such a great job!
