Sticker Shock! 350 plus tip for a little trim of my extremely fine thin hair and a full balayage. Yikes. There was no aroma therapy offered no scalp massage no hot towel. There is only so much I can do with my hair and I acknowledge that but this was a little steep for the lack of extras. and the end result. I also just did not feel very comfortable there. They consider themselves a "green" salon so the products they use are a bit different than you may see at some regular salons. read more

Nice to see the salon respond back, but i have to disagree that it needs multiple visits for a normal balayage. I have been doing this for years and no salon ever said they needed multiple visit for this. Even if you say you are 100% sure this needs multiple visit, here is my question - why didn't you let your customer know about it upfront before working on their hair? Like I mentioned I had to make a second visit to the salon just for the toner application, and even then the second application didn't have any impact in changing the hair color from what it was earlier. So how do you say multiple sessions are necessary while the session is not even giving effective results? I already had to spare so much time for each visit, but sure, if you think you can explain better what you mean by multiple visits for a balayage, I can call. I am now wondering maybe you mean two or even three... visits! Ps: The front section you see in the photos is the results of bleaching alone! The toner application and/or quality was not properly done that you don't even see it's resulting beautiful colors! I hope this helps you understand what I mean by bad hair coloring. read more

I had a very specific hair cut I'd like to have and on crop hair salon's Instagram I found both Ali and Angela did very similar hair cut in the past. When I called to make appointments with either Ali or Angela, I learned that all the designers are booked for weeks and Ali and Angela at the time are not taking any new clients. Fortunately for me, one of Angela's appointment was canceled the next day and therefore I got a haircut appointment for that. Later on I learned from Angela that she's considering taking some new clients now. The salon was very clean, interior design is rustic, trendy and cozy at the same time. And even with everyone's conversing in the salon, and some were using hair dryers, it's not noisy at all. Receptionist was very friendly. I showed Angela what haircut I had in mind. She took a look and immediately know what I was looking for. We discussed about the length and Angela started the pre-cut for my hair donation. And after that I had a shampoo and massage with Amy. The massage was very impressive. I haven't had massage in other salons in US so far and the massage was as good as or even better than once's I had in Taiwan. Angela was very nice to talk to and took her haircut to perfection. She focus on details and the haircut turned out to be identical to the picture I showed her. According to conversation I had with her. January, June and July might be easier to get appointments comparing to December and August. I had Bobby and he was super cool to talk to but it was the overall service I was disappointed in! This was about double the price of what I was expecting and it was not worth it for me. I was then greeted by my stylist, Kayla. She immediately made me feel so comfortable, and took the time to really understand my vision. She was able to tell me exactly how much length I'd lose, and didn't cut it a single inch shorter. She started by doing a dry cut, and then applied color. I was then sent to the shampoo chair and received the best shampoo/head massage imaginable by Amy! It was exactly what I needed after a long day. I went to Crop salon on April 5th 2023. My stylist did a great job with the hair cut ant roots touch up color. But in a week the hair around my face started to loose all the color and turned grey. I called the salon and mentioned the same to the receptionist. She gave me an appointment for next day. When I went there my stylist looked at my hair and said he has written it down to be done right on my next appointment and this appointment was only for consultation. I wish the receptionist had told me that the appointment is going to be just for consultation. So evidently if the services are not up to customer's satisfaction or anything goes wrong then taking care of it is not in their book. So a bunch of the best hair stylists from Chakras left to start their own salon and that salon is Crop. My wife, son and I all get our hair cut and styled here. The stylists are some of the best in town and some of the nicest as well. The space is very hip and stylish but warm. Reclaimed wood counters run the length of either side of the salon. It is open and airy, warm and inviting. The prices are reasonable for all the basics. My wife is a New York City hair snob and when we moved here in 2013, she started at Chakras as did I. By December, by chance, both her stylist and my stylist left together with a few others from Chakras and came to form Crop. Because it is right near the railroad tracks there is good street parking and no meters like a little ways back on Elm St. Further you can walk right over to Natty Green's or any other of shops nearby so it's not out of the way-or cross the tracks to hit some of the art and antique galleries or grab lunch at Mellow Mushroom. This is a fantastic new addition to Greensboro and I highly recommend it. read more

I came in with semi choppy and chunky highlights that didn't really blend well into my hair and I expressed how I wanted to be able to let my darker roots grow out and not have to come every month for maintenance highlights. She understood exactly what I was asking and did "hair painting" which is a softer way to color your hair instead of using foils. She toned down the white blonde and added some other colors to make it dynamic and beautiful. She just moved from LA and she's experienced. Worst experience ever,showed the stylist how I wanted my hair colored and cut WITH A PHOTO, and left with no difference in color at all. She told me it was impossible to reach the hair color i wanted without several trips to the salon but this was her own personal opinion. My hair looks the same as when I came in, JUST SHORTER. The stylist ripped out my cartilage earring with a comb after she knew it was there. I was poked in the eye and she was anything but gentle through the whole process. Too much money for no new color or style. She used a processing hair dryer instead of a blow dryer and left to do something somewhere else and my head was burning. Being a California native in NC has been difficult on my hair...I was going to a salon in Winston-Salem and the last visit the stylist dyed my blond hair gray by putting too much toner in it!!! After reading all the raving reviews of this place, I decided to call and make an appointment, and I ended with about the worst haircut of my life, the "master stylist" who cut my hair ruined my hair. All I wanted was a trim and I ended up a super short haircut that is UNEVEN between the left and right side, one side is literally and visibly shorter than the other and I didn't ask for a lopsided haircut. I am so sad that my hair is cut way shorter than I wanted and my haircut looks awful.
