They wrapped all of the furniture pieces w care and there were only a few dents when we arrived (which is spectacular when you consider à truckload of stuff bumping down the road for 900 miles). They also did a great job getting things loaded into the truck strategically so there wasn't any wasted space, even vertically. Based on reviews, I trusted. Initially, movers were to be there between 12:00pm and 12:30pm. Once they were late I called and was told that they got tied up on the move before mine and were running late. Ok. Things happen and that's reasonable. But was still assured not to worry. They eventually arrived at 8PM. Now I was worried. Towards the end of loading (which I and my son helped with, even though we were paying for it), I was told that they could hold my stuff overnight and deliver first thing in the morning since it was already 10:45PM. I knew I should've trusted my gut. All in all, I was quoted initially $1,000 and ended up paying just shy of $2,000 (including tips for the movers who were very good) Not vacating the property cost me another $500 because my escrow contract dictated a $500 penalty per day. Peter assured me not to worry. Two dining room chairs were broken by one of the movers. That's ok, these things happen especially during a household move. My calls and voicemails to Peter were never returned on how I can file a claim. Well, I guess I have to eat that cost as well. Lessons for others: 1) Don't accept or agree to an afternoon move. Try for a morning one. So in case you want your washer and dryer hooked up, fridges, etc. All these ancillary items will push back the afternoon appointments. 2) Understand the difference between binding and non-binding estimates. 3) Review the option for insurance and also consider third party insurance The good part about this were the actual movers. These guys all hustled. Carlos (seemed to be the supervisor of the other 3 guys) was awesome. Nothing but kudos to the guys that did the actual heavy lifting and moving.

The two guys that arrived were very friendly and efficient - Angelo and I forgot the other's name. They worked very hard. There were a couple hiccups: There were supposed to be 3 movers but one did not show up. We were only charged for the 2 movers. Unfortunately, one piece of furniture was dropped and broken while going down the stairs. The mover was very apologetic and Karl reimbursed some of the cost.

I was immediately compensated for the issues I had surfaced and am extremely grateful to the Qshark team for doing so. **ORIGINAL** Unfortunately I cannot say I would recommend Qshark. We hired them for a cross country move and were very hopeful for a smooth process given the total cost we were quoted. Prior to the move, I will say the customer service was great. Any question we had was answered promptly and clearly over email, which was very helpful when preparing for the move. On the day of pick up, the movers were punctual, organized, kind and respectful. I have no complaints for the first half of the move. The delivery is where things started to go south. Our movers assured us they would arrive by July 1, however the night before I received a text from Frank that the movers were very delayed and were likely going to miss the delivery date. He let me know the battery had died in the moving truck and therefore they were unable to make the agreed upon delivery date. This was a problem as we had no accommodations for that night, assuming we would've been able to stay in our new home. Frank offered to cover the cost of any hotel expenses we incurred, which was the right thing to do given the circumstances. However, I did have to follow up with him once or twice to complete the reimbursement, which again isn't the type of service I would expect given the premium cost we paid and unique circumstances. When the movers arrived the next day, things looked positive as they were unloading all the furniture. However once they left we realized several items were either missing or damaged. Our bed frame, bar cabinet, shoe cabinet and futon all had either pieces missing or parts that had been dinged. On top of all of that, our TV screen had been damaged in the move. I have since been asking for claim details to get reimbursed for the TV repairs, and have followed up daily with no progress or confirmation that we will be compensated for the damages. Overall while the movers themselves were wonderful, the service of Qshark fell far below expectation and I would not book with them again.

Oscar and Nick texted me when they were 30 minutes away, showed up on time, were friendly, worked quick, and were careful with my belongings. I moved out of a 4th floor apartment into a 2nd floor walk up. They were also able to disassemble my wood bedframe and put it back together for me in my new place and also lifted my heavy dresser up the stairs. I had to move due to issues with repairs never being done and mold because my landlord is a slumlord. (Do NOT rent from C&S Apartments!) Anyway, the movers the 2nd time around were nice, professional and as quick as could be considering they were helping me pack up to move my belongings into a storage unit. They didn't waste time and were kind. BUT they failed to wrap my solid cherry wood bed set in moving blankets which resulted in all my furniture being scratched up and damaged in the 3rd move, where once again they did NOT wrap my items when moving them out of storage, into the van and then into my new apartment. On the 3rd move the Forman was upset that there were 2 flights of stairs to move the dresser up, despite me saying so in the questionnaire when booking. The Forman said to me that they'd have to charge extra for the stairs. Which I said NO to because that should have been done in the estimate. He kept saying the dresser was heavy... well, your company loved it twice already and no one else whined about it. He then told me, " if you give us a bigger tip, we won't have to charge for it." I let him know that they moved the same dresser up the stairs to the last apartment and didn't charge extra. He also dragged out ending the moving time because he wanted more hours. I literally had to bring boxes in to try to counteract his stalling tactic. Unfortunately, it didnt help because he then hid in the truck while the other 2 guys were putting together my bed. My couch cushion was damaged and they broke a dresser drawer. I was told they'd come and fix it, but 3 months later they never did. I had to go buy the wood glue and do it myself. The company doesn't have full insurance, so don't bother if something major) like my solid wood night stand) gets damaged. You will not be compensated for it. I did get some money for the leather couch cover, but not enough to purchase a new one. Find a company that has full insurance and will own up to their mistakes, if made. There are so many scratches and chips on my bed set. Not to mention missing feet caps that were not missing before the 2nd move. This 3rd move left me with damaged furniture and no accountability for fixing it when they said they would. Instead I was told, "it's the end of the month and we have a lot of moves. Your repair is not a priority." So much for being a loyal customer who had used them 3 times. FIND A BETTER COMPANY! THIS ONE IS NO LONGER GOOD!
