Each staffer that I have met has been willing to share their knowledge, in a patient and compassionate manner. This team is something! The warm-water therapy pool is beautiful. The pediatric gyms and treatment spaces are so clean and well-outfitted with new high quality toys, therapy equipment, and other materials for the kids to get to interact with. i went to impact physical therapy to seek relief from chronic tension headaches. tony was my…read moretherapist and i saw him 2x a week for 6 weeks. after 2 weeks, i started to get relief. my symptoms continued to steadily improve until i was discharged. tony's therapy program included everything from exercises to hands-on work to cupping. i was also taught a series of take-home exercises which i still use for headache relief on a daily basis. although my headaches were atypical, tony's expertise and knowledge of anatomy provided relief where all other options have failed. prior to going to impact, i had sought help from neurologists, optometrists, dentists, otolaryngologists (ear/nose/throat specialists), massage therapists, acupuncturists, and more. i even visited diamond headache clinic in chicago and was not able to get relief. i only wish that i had found impact sooner. thank you tony and the entire gang at impact, you guys rock!

Although I do not need the physical therapy, I felt reassured that there would be some soft tissue work before actual spinal manipulation would occur. I've had it done without soft tissue massage and muscle stretching, and there is no comparison. Hands down, spinal manipulation requires some massage in order for the muscle release to allow the vertebrae to be manipulated back into place. There are different spaces in the clinic dedicated to physical therapy and rehabilitation. Jason was reassuring and meticulous to detail. While stretched out on one of the adjustable exam tables, he was able to feel out the tension points along my spine. After some soft tissue work, he manipulated my mid and upper back into shape. Since my muscles were inflamed from chronic misalignment, he stretched out the neck muscles after the vertebrae were back in place. I was very pleased.

I had to track him down as he no longer was associated with any offices near me. So I called, and explained EXACTLY what I needed to his office representative. We actually went into DETAIL, as I asked can I be measured and the finished product be sent to my house? She ASSURED me this would not be a problem. Go in for appointed, doctor was GREAT, answered questions, did a basic exam. Provided me other information, all while he was extremely rushed by the BIG CARLE BIG MONEY corporation. He explained that the specific service I needed was not offered there, and he did provide me the name of a podiatrist in my area. I should have listened to my wife who though I was nuts to drive that far, but when you get a good mechanic or plumber or DOCTOR, my experience is stick with them. Bill was not small, insurance paid 90%. I got a bill for a little over $100. I opened a dispute with Carle, explained everything, said I would like that amount forgiven since I didn't get the service the phone rep had again, ASSURED me there would be no problem getting. It was placed under review, a fancy way of saying in 30-60 days we will tell you to pound sand. Sure enough about 40 days later I got a call, DENIED. So I paid the bill, you can't fight City Hall, or BIG Business, especially the evil warlords of the Medical conglomerates. But my advice, record ALL interactions on the phone with Carle phone reps, and then get a good lawyer when they bill you and do not deliver agree upon services. Normally I would never advise lawyering up, they are a whole other problem. But just as you should not take a knife to a gunfight, you should not try to stand up to Darth Carle on your own. Get a Shark!

After a broken wrist injury, Jeff Schroder spent countless hours rehabilitating and strengthening my entire arm - which had not only atrophied due to the immobilization during healing, but was also laced with scar tissue. That was back in 2002. Almost 10 years later my wrist still has FULL RANGE OF MOTION. I have honestly not had one single recurring pain after completing my detailed PT program at the Mettler Center, and owe it all to the talents of the founder and his team of therapists, and the brilliant Mettler Release Technique. Pain free full range of motion is important to anyone who has experienced an injury, but as a piano player, it is even more so! Jeff, you probably don't remember me, but I will always remember you for your dedication and honest concern for my well being, and for helping to restore my wrist to as good as new condition! She was rude, treated us like we were in Kindergarten, horrible attitude, was quick to get out of the visit, interrupted when we spoke. She had absolutely NO COMPASSION whatsoever. My mom has been in horrible pain with the level being 9 and she had been slow to return calls and do what her job requires her to do. I don't see how someone could be so mean when another human being is in pain. She has obviously done her job way too long. Do your job and be kind. She was definitely not doing either. I'm 26 years old, and recently started having some serious back pain issues and woke up one day…read morewhere I was completely stiff and couldn't move my neck in any direction or sit down without immense pain, had to remain standing. I went to see Dr. Alexander the next day per recommendation from a coworker. In the consultation appointment itself, they took x-rays from all sides, Doc examined them and felt all the vertebrae in my spine individually. Found out that I had misalignments going right then left in both my neck and lower back, and multiple nerves were being pinched, causing my shooting pain and numbness and muscle stiffness. He asked if I was okay with getting an adjustment in that initial appointment, I gave consent, and two popping noises in my neck later, I was able to sit again without pain. I had quite a few issues, he put me on a plan for 4-6 weeks with 2-3 appointments each week to monitor the movement range of my spine and make adjustments and perform electrotherapy as needed. It's been 3 weeks and I'm back to jogging, stretching, light workouts again. His staff is knowledgeable and very pleasant and the services are quite affordable as well. I highly recommend Alexander Chiropractic. P.S. I went to Carle Hospital in Urbana the same day as my consultation appointment here, to get a second opinion. Got a remarkably different and innacurate diagnosis there stating that I had to choose either upper back or lower back because they wouldn't address both in one appointment, then stating I had no spinal issues at all (without doing x-rays or checking my spine by hand) and that it was surely all muscular and required injections to lessen the muscle stiffness, followed by physical therapy. But had I done that, it might've temporarily dulled my pain, but never addressed it, and I would have to keep getting the injections and having no treatment for the cause of the pain.
