I haven't been to any other locksmiths before, but my friend recommended this place and I am sold! Never going to another one, I don't need to, this one holds the key to my heart! Okay, that was cheesy, lock-y for you, I'm done. Nope, had another one in me. Anyway, the key (I swear, that was unintentional) to a good locksmith - in my very uneducated opinion - is expedience! And, of course, keys that work... so I went over there tonight and parked in front and noticed it said "10 minute parking" and I was a little worried. Turned out, it took no time at all! Maybe like 5 mins! I had 2 keys I needed done- gate key and mailbox key. I didn't need anything fancy, but the key maker at Lowe's wouldn't take them for some reason. I locked myself out of my house and callee this business that was near my house. They asked me to send a photo of the lock to see if it was one they could open. He received it and told me they couldn't do it because it's a Kwikset with SmartKey. He said they'd have to drill it and replace the lock and asked me to send another picture. I can't remember the next question that I asked but I could tell he was annoyed by my questions because he said "I'm going to hang up now!" They were about $3 -4 per copy depending on which key design you choose. - Fast service. Made key copies & paid within 5 minutes. - Decently priced key accessories. Amazing! Leonard is knowledgeable, skilled and fast. Most reasonable key duplications for house and car. If he is at all doubtful that the duplicate may not work (due to the type of car or blank) he'll let you know. His quote for cutting two padlocks off my carport storage was incredibly reasonable compared to another local locksmith and a couple of "Burbank" locksmiths who use a central number to call local locksmiths (24 Burbank and Key Me, which are the same company under different numbers). I needed to have a couple of spare keys made for an electric cart on Thursday, 3/18/21. I had already been to the Home Depot (Flower Location): an employee tried to make a copy unsuccessfully, and then I was directed to their DIY kiosk and that didn't work. I was headed home, made the left turn from victory to magnolia and just happened to pull over in front of Leonard's. I could read the sign in the window from inside my truck: "Closed." I was prepared to try again later (who knows when). Out of the corner of my eye, a gentleman was trying to get my attention, and it just happened to be the owner/manager (or so I'm guessing). Super quick to get key copies made and he was really nice! Lots of options to choose from for the keys and the price was great. I have 3 different people checking in on my cat while I'm out of town so I needed 3 sets of both my keys made. So I was glad it was affordable. I was so thrilled that this place actually existed too, I went to a couple other places that came up first closer to my house but they weren't actually there. Like it was an apartment complex not a store front because they were a mobile locksmith not an actual place to get keys made. I broke my car key (oops) and had ordered a blank as a replacement. I dropped by Leonard's in the afternoon and asked if they could make a copy of the old key onto the blank. I was a told that they would be happy to do so, but couldn't guarantee that it'd work as it was an aftermarket blank (which seems completely fair - they don't know what the quality is like). They said that if it didn't work there was another option we could try. $10 and a couple of minutes later I had a new key. Tried it out on my car and... it works flawlessly. Leonard's is awesome! I needed my apartment key duplicated, so I quickly yelped up a place and found this one. I walked in at 5:30pm, and promptly walked out 3 minutes later with my new key. The guy at the front is extremely friendly, extremely helpful, and extremely fast! Everything about the process was so easy, and I left as a very happy customer. Called Leonards at about 10am to make an appointment to have my home re-keyed. Technican arrived at 1230p, Rekeyed 4 doors and made 4 keys.. He was fast, courteous...had me try the keys in all locks before he left. I always use their location to have extra keys made, but this was the first time for in home service. I have come here on two occasion. First time was a few years ago when I made duplicate keys. When two of the keys didn't work and I told the locksmith, he was puzzled and made a new set for me to try again with no extra cost. The second time I came here was for my apt keys cause my SO lost his set. All sets of keys worked. He's super nice and helpful and told me which ones I can get custom made as well. The guy has a bad attitude and after having my locks changed I noticed that someone had broken a key off in my bottom lock so I set up a camera and caught the same locksmith jamming another key in my top lock over the new year. Used them successfully in the past, but this time I called on them to replace a commercial lock cylinder and am left feeling ripped off. I don't believe the guys who showed up worked for Leonard's directly because they said "Did the guys at the shop tell you how much the lock was?" Then proceeded to tell me it was an expensive lock and charged me $700! I checked online afterwards and similar cylinders retail for $20!!! Upon closer inspection the cylinder appears to be used. They even had the audacity to request a tip on top of it and wrote in their own review of their work after having me sign a blank invoice. I feel ripped off and sketched out. I had an entire water heater replaced for that amount of money. These guys were here for 20 minutes tops. What a scam. read more

On Thursday Oct 12 2023 I went to Leonard's Lock & Key on magnolia needing 2 broken key fobs replaced for my wife's 2006 Lexus 400 Hybrid..I was quoted $75 for each with an upgraded case..This was dramatically lower than the dealer & I was told it would take just 20 minutes with a guarantee it would work..I agreed & 20 minutes later they were done..I drove 3 miles back to where the car was parked & all aspects of the remote worked perfectly but the car wouldn't start!!..I drove back to Leonard's & explained the situation, he said he'd immediately meet me back where the car was parked...He got there before me & to my surprise the car was running! He explained I had to wait a few seconds for the READY light to appear on the dash before it would start because it was a hybrid ..He was incredibly polite & refused a tip but I wouldn't take no for an answer & he "finally" excepted the $20 tip... read more

Had to find one of those pesky apartment building keys (the one that gets you in the building and garage gate) that the Bed, bath and beyond kiosk offers to order for you and charges about $20 for each key). Decided to stop by this place on my way back home from the mall. Upon seeing my key the owner was almost apologetic when he told me it would be about $8 a key. I promptly ordered three of them. When I asked to add on a couple of copies for my apartment key he told me he would throw those in for free as they would only be a couple of bucks. No more kiosk/Home Depot/ Lowe's for me.
