I brought my accent chair that I purchased from Thomasville Furnishings over 35 years ago to Leon Custom Upholstery. I considered tossing it, but after talking with Jose and looking at many fabric samples that he so patiently showed me we agreed to reupholster it. The quality of work was 10's and the cost more than fair. Also, the job was completed in 1/2 the time promised. Thanks, José it was great working with you and I look forward to possibly doing another project with you in the future. read more

The shop has 1,000 samples, maybe more, of upholstery fabric available. I wanted 2 identical chairs reupholstered. These chairs were over 100 years old. I remember sitting in them at my grandmother's house. We selected a fabric and given a completion date. The chairs were completed a little early. The workmanship is of the highest possible quality The interior padding on the armrests was replaced. The wood armrest ends and across the back was refinished to perfection. Good service, great quality, fair price. Who can ask for anything more? The chairs were completed a few days early. Workmanship is highest quality possible. read more

I can't recommend Jose Leon and his team enough! They reupholstered my family's decades-old wood framed lounge chair. My wife brought her own fabric and asked them to replicate the original piping detail. The craftsmanship was flawless, with careful pattern matching at the seams. Communication was good, and the turnaround time was roughly six weeks from sending the materials, which included ordering an additional yard of fabric. The pricing was very reasonable for the quality of work. After I restained the frame, the chair looks brand new--like a custom piece designed for my daughter's bedroom. If you're looking for skilled, detail-oriented upholstery work, this is the place to go. Supporting this talented local team is well worth it. read more

Leon Custom Upholstery left me absolutely speechless! Not having the heart to part with my Grandmother's rocker, I decided to have it refurbished.. After checking around a few places, Leon Custom Upholstery checked all the boxes with regard to price, delivery options, time, and quality. When I visited their shop, they had a huge assortment of fabrics to choose from. Jose came by to pick up the rocker, and I knew it was in good hands. It took about a month for the finished product, but I was starting second guessing my fabric choice since I didn't exactly remember what it looked like after all this time. Fast forward a month later, Jose delivered my Grandmother's rocker better than I could have imagined! To some, a one-month turnaround may seem like a long time. However, this small business takes on a lot of work. A lot of the time is invested in producing top-quality workmanship that shows in the end result. Thank you Leon Custom Upholstery for taking good care of something so special to me! read more

I have been so impressed with the work I've had done at Leon Custom Upholstery. Jose is easy to work with and is very professional with great attention to detail. He and his crew were willing to pick up and deliver, and they were very considerate. I will definitely be working with them again. read more

We have a Pottery Barn 8pc (17pc cushions/backs w chaise) patio sectional needed replacement. Equivalently appointed replacement products cost around $5000-$6000. We considered online purchasing replacement cushions at around $3500-$4000. We assumed re-upholstery to be cost prohibitive but messaged Nextdoor app for upholsterer recommendations and linked up with Leon Custom Upholstery. WOW. Cannot express how pleased we are with the results. Jose Leon is a confident, capable and professional craftsman supported by a quietly efficient and productive staff. Their fabric sample catalog is enormous and in touch with current high-performance manufacturers such as Kravet, Outdura, Sunbrella, Tommy Bahama and others. They kept in frequent communication regarding fabric accessibility, fabrication time and expected delivery. Yes, they offered pickup and delivery for us as we are in a reasonable radius (and the size of our project of 17pcs). YMMV. Operating from a modest studio in Vallejo, their abilities and attention to detail is superb. See included images for some detail. Even after replacing many foam seat inserts because of expected breakdown due to age ( more than 10 yrs) , total costs fell many hundreds below a new patio set. Great things can come from local sources and Leon Custom Upholstery is a stellar operation. Don't overlook them for your next upholstery project. Joe Bob says call these sew and sews. read more

Jose Leon helped Lindsay and I with our three barstools. His work is top notch. They way his team added this small detail of piping on the edge of the reupholstered stools is very nice. He is a true craftsman. He was patient with us with choosing our fabric. He was only suggestive with a soft approach and professional opinion. He wasn't pushy at all. He had so many books to choose from with vinyl and leather. The pricing he broke down was completely accurate. Our experience here was incredible. I can't say enough about how genuine this guy is. We won't go anywhere else for our next upholstery needs. Below is the new fabric. I only wished I had pictures of the old best up fabric read more

Jose did an awesome job redoing my favorite sofa that was damaged by an ink spill and years of wear. Originally, I wanted to have a slip cover made so that I could remove it to wash. When I brought the sofa in, Jose also recommended reinforcing the cross supports and replacing the foam. He had some extra fabric that he used to reupholster the base & pillows (removing my old ink damaged fabric!) and made a washable slip cover with material that I brought in. I now have a brand new couch and a slip cover I can wash. Jose is very responsive, kind, and knowledgable with reasonable prices. I would use him again for any upholstery needs. read more

Seldom do I find old-world quality and pride in craftsmanship. My job was a simple desk chair I inherited from my deceased father and it had special meaning to me. I considered doing it myself but like others thought better about it and driving by noticed his modest shop. Stopped in and inquired about the job, liked what I saw and heard, and returned with the chair a few days later. He warned me they were very busy and I said OK there was no hurry. When I picked up the chair I can only say the quality of the work was amazing and the price was very reasonable. I will definitely be returning for more work in the future. read more
