I arrived a bit before my pickup time and was informed that this is a place where the pickup time is what they say it's going to be, which is not the case everywhere but is fine. A four cheese pizza is a common creation, but of course there are more than four cheeses so every chef picks differently. The ones here gave a complex flavor impression both Italian and American, and getting jalapenos on top completed the taste with some needed bite. Have taken out food three times now. 1st time was a Tuesday night, it was crazy busy so I waited 45 minutes for a chicken parm. Fast forward a few months, this time I called in my order and was told a half hour. When I got there to pick up my food, the girl who took my order forgot to put it in so I walked out with nothing. A week ago I called in my order again, chicken parm sub. I was told 30 minutes but it took 45. Unfortunately while I was waiting a cockroach walked right by me. I came here with a friend for a late lunch on. Thursday after 4 days on the trail. We opted for this place over a local chain as I like to support local businesses and I liked the choice of pizza toppings better. The restaurant was empty but the service was top notch and the food was excellent. My friend got pasta and pepperoni pizza and I had salad and pasta with marinara. The breadsticks that came with my meal were divine. Plenty of parking outside, and a very peaceful atmosphere to eat our lunch. There was Italian music playing and the whole experience felt very genuine. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 because vegan options were limited. I'm sorry to say that: lettuce, very unripe tomato. Don't bother. Friends had the Italian Sub and Spaghetti with meat sauce. Both of them were unimpressed. We had a great birthday party here for 24 in the private room. The restaurant was very easy to work with. The food and service were excellent. We had our guests order off the dinner menu as desired but also started by ordering a large variety of pizzas to share. They server was extremely attentive, friendly, and helpful. I love that they have beer and wine on the menu. The stuffed shells were very good, as were the salads and homemade ranch dressing that come with the pasta dishes. In case other people are looking to book a room for a private party, I would recommend this place. It seems that room could comfortably fit a much larger party than our own, probably 45-50. read more

This is a small family run business. The pizza has to be the best I have ever had. Thin crispy crust and the toppings were excellent. Saturday night pizza to go was excellent! We had the STEAK PIZZA with green and red peppers and onions. The crust was perfect with crispy edges and fluffy inside. Great pizza! I've had the white with mozzarella, artichokes, ricotta and spinach. I had them add garlic because who doesn't love FRESH garlic. Delish. Last time I tried the four cheese pizza and added pepperoni. They could have thrown a few more pepperonis on it for the up-charge but WOW, a LOT of cheese. But you can NEVER have too much cheese. I get the large, which is more like an extra-large and it lasts me three nights of dinners. Family owned, nice people. read more

Found this place while staying at a nearby motel. The motel staff said that this restaurant was good. I tried the spaghetti and meatballs. The sauce was a little watery and the meatballs were just average. My wife tried the penna vodka, she really liked it. We also ordered a cheese pizza that was excellent. My calzone the other night was quite undercooked even though the place was quite empty. The place can be rather loud at times, Nothing anywhere to absorb sound. I was totally unimpressed with the buffet. Same food as when they were Bella pizza down the street, a lot of things bland and boring, at Bella the food temps on the buffet were no where near warm enough, seems to be the same here for the two times I tried the buffet. We have had to wait every time for them to actually put new pizza on the buffet or even request it. Only pepperoni and cheese available. No variety, and they seem old and cool at times. I prefer to order off the menu. Salad bar quite lacking in options. Most times our waitress service has been very good, but considering everything, I thinks it's overpriced. read more

First off I want to share that the food was pretty delicious. I went with 2 other adults and three kids, one being very hyper. And they were welcoming to that. I order breadsticks at first, then they didn't take my order until they came , which took about 15 mins. From the time I order my pizza till I got it was an hour! My pizza and the other pizza were ordered at the same time, it the second pizza came 18 minutes later. they said it's coming shortly didn't provide an explanation to why their was a huge time difference. If you find yourself on I-81 near exit 150, don't miss this great, family-owned Italian restaurant. Just one mile off the exit. The food is wonderful and the Lentinis will make you feel like a member of the family! This is in my opinion the best Italian food in the Roanoke area. My favorite is the sausage pizza, with locally sourced sausage. Delicious! Also, if you are there at lunchtime, don't miss the buffet. Several kinds of pasta (many of which are vegetarian), pizza, salad, and pepperoni & ham rolls. All homemade and all delicious! (and all for only $7.75, a real bargain!) As someone who drives the Interstate a lot for business, I know how hard it is to find good food in an area you aren't familiar with. My husband and I decided to try Lentini's on Saturday night. We get to the restaurant early and take a booth. The waitress seems a little put off that we don't want the buffet. I order a steak Stromboli and my husband ordered a "works" calzone. We didn't have to wait long for our food. I really liked the crust on my Stromboli but it ends there. My husband and I both agreed that this was the most bland tasting Italian food ever. The tomato sauce that accompanied the dishes was thin and reminiscent of tomato soup. There was no Italian seasoning or garlic flavor. My steak was bland and lacked that nice grilled steak flavor. One star for the crust and one star for the short wait. I was disappointed because the reviews seemed so favorable. We will stick with the other Italian place on the hill. Sorry Lentini's. read more

I tried to have lunch there today. I almost left given the small amount of choices on the menu, but the waitress was very nice. However when our spaghetti and meatballs came out of the kitchen the bowl was 1/2 full of water. The smallest meatball and literally 1" long piece of sausage. Ok, I decided to not accept the food. "What do I owe you for the drinks?" (Assuming I would be persuaded to return in the future the response I expected was, "No charge, just please give us another chance in the future." What I heard was "$4.95". I explained to the owner that he should understand the $5 would cost him any chance that I would return. He explained I was the first complaint about watery spaghetti he had ever received in 20 years. I would not recommend you try Lentini's, but if you'd like to, please do so soon. I've been dining with the Lentini family since they were Bella's. I've NEVER been disappointed. First of all, they are incredibly nice and even if you come in every few months, they remember you. My family is Italian so, I have pretty high expectations when it comes to Italian cuisine...Lentini's food is authentic and always delicious. Their bread is always fresh, marinara is incredible, and I've never had a dish that I didn't like. They are always willing to make recommendations and will even add or take away items in a dish if you'd like. The prices are great for such high quality food. They're pretty out of the way for me, but I don't mind making the special trip to sit down for a nice meal. read more
