My wife and I decided to stop in because we have upcoming appointments here. We figured it would be best to pick out our sunglasses and regular glasses before our actual appointments because our appointments are at different times and to avoid calling or FaceTime each others selections for opinions on what eyeglasses to choose!. We walked in and started looking around and we were greeted and asked if we needed assistance. One employee assisted my wife and eventually another employee assisted us both. She was very helpful,friendly and honest with her opinions which I think is important with eyeglasses selections! We are excited about my upcoming eye exams, especially because we are delighted about our eyeglass selections!. If you are looking for a place to purchase eyeglasses, this is a great place to look. I had a nose-piece break on me when cleaning my glasses, but when I showed up unexpectedly at this location, they greeted me, quickly fixed my glasses by replacing both nose-pieces, fit them to my face, and within five minutes I was out the door with glasses that fit, and we're fixed. While I waited another associate kindly chatted with me. it was a great short visit and I got what I needed. No cost. This is why I'm a LensCrafters customer. Great job folks! read more

I recently went to LensCrafters (LC) so I could pick out some prescription sunglasses. Now, I've been wearing prescription glasses for 30 years, but I've never purchased prescription sunglasses before. I was excited to say the least. I have been to this location before when my middle son needed a pair of glasses. A very tall man waited on us last time, but this time I was helped by Abby. And I love her! She is extremely personable and knows what she's doing. As Abby anxiously looked on as I tried on my new sunglasses, "The Eye Book" by Dr. Seuss popped into my head: My eyes see. Her eyes see. I see her. And she sees me! Indeed, I did see! Abby worked hard trying to get those frames perfect, but they were being funky. Since they didn't have any other pair in stock, she ordered another one for me. I can wear this pair until the new one arrives, and then she will swap my lens. I never asked for a new pair; Abby knew something was up with those frames, and she wanted me to have the best pair possible. Now, that's great service! LC is like a fast food restaurant of the Opticians world. With that said, I've always been happy with LC no matter what location I've been to. It's quick and painless, with a large assortment of frames. This LC has an Optometrist (Beach Family Eyecare) next door so you can get your eyes checked out and get a prescription. Also, they accept most insurance. I highly recommend LC and ask for Abby (although the gentleman was also very nice). They will take care of you and get you some stylin' glasses. Took my glasses in to the store to be checked, because to me it appeared the transition tint was wearing. After waiting several minutes of no one acknowledging the fact I was standing there. (They were helping other customers.) I gave the glasses to the worker and she said The coding on the bottom of the glasses are "exposed, or showing". I purchased the glasses in May of 2022, so I'm just outside the warranty. There's nothing they can do. I have on a thicker sunscreen today, she immediately blamed it on my "oily skin." She added insult to injury to say, "oh yeah it just going to keep getting worse." She offered NO solution! No option, didn't even try to sell me another pair of glasses at a discounted rate! My previous glasses lasted me 15 years!!!! I purchased from my local optometrist. I WILL NEVER buy anything from Lens Crafters again!!! If I could give a 0 star I would. read more

Such a bad experience here. Made an appointment for 5PM and didn't even go through pre testing until 5:45... and then waited at least another hour to be seen by the doctor. He was nice but i was so irritated that i just waited all that time that i just wanted to leave. He's the only reason i give it 2 stars. Would have gone somewhere else if i knew how long it was going to take. read more

I'm a pilot, I can't use polarized lenses. I buy Ray Ban exclusively and both these companies are owned by luxottica. Since Ray Ban will sell me the glasses without polarized lenses I bought from them but tried to get Lens Crafters to measure the height for my progressive. I told NO WAY! Not unless you buy from us. So shameful. 20 years I've been with LC, I buy three pairs at a visit, (distance w/progressive, computer and sunglasses w/progressive) you do the math, I've spent 10's of thousands and now I've left you forever! I went to Lenscrafters -- billed as same day service -- for work (OSHA safety) glasses in May. For that service, they charge tons extra, such that what is normally a $30 pair of glasses elsewhere, cost me $88 despite me having vision insurance. So... first thing, it took them about a week, not same day. Second thing, I purchased damage insurance for $40. When the nosepiece of the glasses melted off within three months -- (Lenscrafters, look up Merchantability: you failed in this) -- I took them back and asked them to replace them. It appeared to me that the nosepiece was not properly protected against UV, and hand decayed, literally rotting in two. The people there said they couldn't replace them or refund them under merchantability -- excuse me, but I'm pretty sure this is required by law, but only enforceable in lawsuit -- but since I had purchased $40 damage insurance, they would replace them entire for only $50, but they had to replace them with the same thing. I objected strongly, because it looked to me like this was a case of poor material quality, and I didn't want the same problem in three months. Moreover, at $50 a shot, that means I'm paying $200 for them to honor their warranty on glasses that normally cost $30. I said that was crazy. They said no, but if it happened in three months, they'd replace them (for free). The lady said she'd put a note in my file. I waited till she confirmed that was done, and then left. The replacements took a week. Here it is November, and guess what -- the nosepiece is rotting off. I went there, and -- guess what, no note, and same deal offered. The woman was very sorry, she hadn't seen any evidence of a note (but wasn't it the same woman? I'm not sure, but I think it was). So I left without getting them replaced. I DON'T need lenscrafters. Now, if you go there, you might get some very good glasses. The melting nosepiece I have referred to is specifically a glued-on rubber pad that reaches all the way around the bridge of the nose (left, top, right), with ridges that allow the skin to breathe. But the failure of this company to properly address a massively inferior product sold by themselves, nor to allow a switch to another, similar product (but to force a customer to pay again and again for inferiority) bespeaks a business that I do not want to deal with again. Very disappointing! Three times a manager has said she would be right with me then send over someone else to help me. This last time I went in, the manager did not help even though the reading portion of a lens was less than an 8th of an inch at the bottom of the lens. These are only reading glasses, but at the end, she asked me if this was the only thing wrong with the lenses. There was no apology, nor was there any taking of responsibility for the error. If someone with experience had checked the order, this would have been avoided. Instead, the only time the manager had time to assist in the original order was with running the credit card machine because the woman helping had not been trained on it.
