I went to Lens Crafter this past Sunday with an eyeglasses emergency. The lens technician (not the manager) was helpful and temporarily fixed my glasses. I asked if I could look at the glasses (just look) and was quickly told I could not because of Covid. I told the manager that I wouldn't touch them and again, just wanted to look at what was in stock. I was told that I needed a prescription in order to look at them. I was denied the privilege of looking at them but said ok was thankful to have had an emergency fix by that kind lens technician. I wish I knew her name. Anyhow, I did what I was told and had my Doctor fax my prescription. I asked about a veteran discount but was told they were having a sale. Today, after verifying that my prescription had been faxed I pay them a visit to order a new pair of glasses. Once who I believe was the manager pulled my script the and only then did she come over and walk me over to the displays. I was not getting a good vibe from her to begin with and was a little turned off to the "help" I was and was not receiving. At that moment a white woman comes in and asked the very same question I did and was met with the same answer. The woman became rude and irate and threaten to take her business elsewhere. And just like that she was allowed to do what I wasn't allowed to do. I tried to continue with my purchase but became upset more and more as I watched this woman touch all the glasses. The straw that broke the camels back was the woman after all of that didn't even make a purchase. I looked at the again, who I think was the manager and asked why they allowed this behavior from her and didn't uphold the "Covid" protocols. The answer I recieved was it wasn't worth the fight......ummmmm what? This upset me further and told the manager that it was not okay. She said I'm sorry you are feeling some type of way. Woooooowwwwww wrong thing to say to me. I said, some type of way? I proceeded letting her know that if I became as rude and irate as that "entitled" white woman the police would have been called immediately...so why not her what made it acceptable for her and not me a Hispanic Veteran? I can't believe how unfair it all was and the lame answers I recieved. See folks, I was going to make a purchase but after that I told her I was taking my business elsewhere. I made a video to let everyone know how a Hispanic female Veteran was treated differently. That what is in place for as far as Covid Protocols should not have any exceptions for anyone period. With that being said, I will NEVER spend money or visit a Lens Crafter again. I also will be reaching out to corporate with my concerns and the treatment I recieved. What should have been 1 trip ended up being 6 to get new lenses. The first Dr I saw rushed me through the appointment and gave me the wrong prescription but I didn't know until the Lenscrafters associate gave me them to try on. I immediately knew it wasn't right but the woman gave me so much attitude that "well that's what the Doctor told us to do so they're right" and told me I just must be sensitive and needed to get over it and give it a few days. I didn't feel like dealing with her so I brought the glasses home and called to schedule an Rx check appointment with Dr King. Dr King was incredible and listened to my concerns and confirmed the Rx was extremely off so I brought the new prescription to Lenscrafters and they couldn't have been more rude. From my six trips back and forth the get the two pairs of glasses changed I interacted with 3 women and 2/3 were rude, standoffish, and just disrespectful. I would go back to Dr King however I will never be purchasing my glasses or lenses through this location again. It was an absolutely miserable process and they need a good attitude check in there. read more

I normally do not write reviews especially 2 star reviews. But I purchased a $475 dollar pair of Oakley glasses and one week out of warranty the lense coating is milky and unusable. No solutions presented other than you need to buy a new pair and we have no open eyeglass appointments. My prescription hasnt changed in 20 + years. Will go back to Walmart vision. read more

Hats off to Crystal at the Rocky Hill store for handling something a thousand times better than LC corporate could. Parent company Luxottica wanted me to go without glasses for 4-6 weeks while they evaluate whether or not they'd cover a manufacturer issue under warranty. Crystal intervened and handled it in-store. spent one hour there today - waste of time - if i could give less than one star i would. these people are so dishonest - wasted my time was quoted a price to which i agreed, picked out a pair of glasses - was measured - and all was set. until that is, they asked for my credit card. i had been quoted a price, i had verified it with the technician, christopher 3 times!!!! and also the licensed optician - what a joke that was - 3 times, but at the end of my time there, they wanted 25% more. a ridiculous explanation given by the technician, optician, and some arrogant third person - not sure of her position - just a useless bunch of "professionals?" they just insisted 25% more. these people - all of them - should not be given any future business by anyone. a few years ago they had tried the same trick - i should have known better in going back. needles to say, i left - and went to walmart - same glasses, 1/2 the price. - 1/2 the price!!! - anyone interested in glasses - try walmart - they were professional - unlike these people at the address in rocky hill, and half the price. beware rocky hill, ct. lens crafters!!!!! read more

I decided to go to the Rocky Hill location because it was close to work, I found this location to be a bit disorganized as my visit took almost 2 hours and I saw 2 different people (one for the eye exam and one for contact fitting.) I have been wearing contacts for over 10 years and this location charged for a 'Premium fitting' when I do not have any have special circumstances to be considered so. When I called multiple times afterwards for an explanation and all I have received is the run around from the staff and the management does not return calls. read more

On Saturday, 12/12/15, my wife and I arrived at 1:50pm for 2pm and a 2:30pm eye exam appointments. The receptionist commented that the 3pm appointment had also just walked in before us and he was taken in before us. He was given my wife's 2pm appointment. He was taken an hour early and we had to wait, even though we were on time for our appointments. Never again will I go there! Plans for the rest of the day were shot! At least the receptionist could have told us SHE was changing our appointments, which in essence is exactly what she did. On the positive side, the Optometrist was great! With all the choices out there, you would think a business would treat their customers/patients better. Never again!!! read more
