I love this LensCrafters I've even referred friends. The Drs I have seen are amazing, they take my insurance and have a good selection. When I come for an appointment it's pretty much on time no extra waiting around for the Dr. The part that seems to take too long is checking out with the new glasses. I'm not sure if it's the system but that's the only reason for the -1 star. If there are people in front of you plan 15 minutes each. They either need more employees or a better system. I would think they know how many people are booked with appointments and allow for the walk ins and people picking up their glasses. How about a separate line for people just picking up? I had to wait 10 minutes behind some guy who either didn't have insurance or didn't know his insurance simply to pick up glasses that were already paid for. And everyone is nice, very friendly staff. I'm not a mall person so I almost did not go here because it does take extra time getting in and out of the mall. And of course the extra shopping along the way lol read more

When I went in, Sandy was extremely pushy -- very high-pressure sales vibe that made the experience uncomfortable. They even had the optician out on the floor trying to sell glasses, even though there were sales associates available. I wanted the optician to check my lenses because I wasn't seeing clearly, but instead she was tied up selling frames. Kind of felt like the priorities were backwards. When I finally came back to have my prescription checked, they made it seem like the change was so minor that it couldn't possibly be the issue -- basically brushed me off. I wasn't looking to argue, I just wanted someone to actually take the concern seriously. After spending that much money, the lack of follow-up care was really disappointing. read more

Walking into the store, we were quickly greeted by Sonia, who was finishing a phone call with a customer. By the time she hung up, we'd found several frames we liked! My husband and I each got 3 pairs! (Being able to change up our glasses is not about aesthetics as much as it's about avoiding sensitivity from the frame pressing down on the same spot every day.) My frames are by Tiffany & Co. and my husband's frames are Brooks Brothers and Armani Exchange. The styles are current (no fishing through outdated styles at the discount store). Every pair of our new glasses are lightweight, so we can comfortably wear any of them, all day. For the first time ever, I got real Varilux progressive lenses, not 'just about the same as Varilux' from a discount store. No one at the discount stores even told me that there are several levels of Varilux. When I got the glasses from LenCrafters, I was amazed that I no longer had to turn my head to see something fully. I have clear peripheral vision. It feels like there's more light coming from under my central line of sight. I paid a price by getting my glasses at discount places or low end department stores - I didn't realize there was a HUGE difference in lens quality and frame choice. I loved how Sonia presented each pair of our new glasses as wonderful gifts. She made sure that the glasses fit well and that we were satisfied with how we looked. When one of my frames needed adjustment, she worked with Rozanna to make it happen. Rozanna is sharp and fearless - she heated and bent my frame to make it right. The both gave us great attention and service. They proudly told us that Luis made our glasses. He wasn't in the store - they had nothing to gain by saying it other than they had genuine pride in his work and their store. We'll return - we live near, they were really wonderful, we love every pair of glasses and they are in our insurance plans. read more

I have been coming to this location for my eye exams and glasses for a few years, and it's always a great experience. From the eye examination side, both doctors are extremely professional and efficient, and take lots of time to answer questions as needed The staff are extremely enthusiastic to assist customers in finding their perfect pair of glasses / sunglasses. Most recently I was helped by Elyse, and she took a large amount of her time helping me narrow down my top 4 choices and getting me squared away with all the different customization options for the lenses. Don't waste your time and certainly, do not waste your money! I purchased a pair of progressive glasses here back in October, 2022, and now, less than 10 months later, the varnish is coming off the frames and contrary to the alleged use of a scratch resistant coating, several scratches have mysteriously appeared. This is an $800 pair of glasses!! So, here is the question for the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation, how do we know we are getting a pair of scratch resistant lens? Oh, because the paperwork says so. And the coating coming off? Is Lens Crafters owned by the dollar store? Needless to say, I have to pay a $50 copay in order to get my glasses replaced, basically $50 for a faulty product. This lens crafters is great! I did not have an issue with my glasses at all. They did it right the first time. I came in with my own frames and they did not have an issue with changing my lens to my new prescription. Staff was very friendly attentive and helpful. Especially the gentleman who is the manger. Spend $800 on a pair of glasses in October, with all the add-ones, including scratch resistant coating and guess how long it lasts? A year? Try six to eight months. The polish comes off the frames. The scratch resistant lens coating is a scam. Definitely worth a call to Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody. read more

I purchased a pair of prescription glasses from here a few months ago, when I went to pick them up I was surprised to see how the frames had multiple scratches so I requested new frames. Long story short I went back the second time to pick up frames and again the frames were damaged. After a third time I finally got my glasses without any defects, will not be going back here. I find it hard to believe that no one inspects the glasses before the customer picks them up. read more

I ordered glasses here for the first time about a month ago. I noticed they had smudges or spots on the inside. The spots weren't normal scratches, they looked like the lenses were wearing off. As well the smudges were only on the inside, when normally it would be on both sides. So i came to see if they would repair, what was obviously a factory defect. I came, and they told me it was my fault, and that i was cleaning them wrong. I have been wearing glasses my whole life. I will accept that i clean them with my shirt, or any cloth. However, i have never seen lenses that have been "scratched" like this. They made me pay, for a defect that was their fault. Don't come here, I will never come here again. read more

Bought new lenses with frame for $350. There was a little dot thats been getting worse with cleaning. Took the lenses back 2 or 3 months after purchase and it's clearly a factory defect. I decided to give Lens Crafter a try instead of going to my optometrist. They gave me a very thorough exam and accepted my insurance. I found the frames that I wanted and sat down to choose my lens. My current glasses have Verilux lens and I wanted the same again. The technician agreed and said that Verilux was the best, however when she told me that the cost was $580 for just the lens I about had a stroke! I told her that this was a rip off. I bought the frames and left. I got the same "Verilux" lens the following day at my optometrist for $190. Beware of Lens Crafter.....they are a bunch of thieves. read more

Went to the Broward Mall location to get my son new glasses. When we walked in one person said hello to us but No one offered any assistance! We finished and he picked out glasses. Then another customer walked in and THEY HELPED THAT CUSTOMER FIRST! We waited around for someone, anyone, to let us know they would be with us and NOTHING! Wow! Bought a new pair of glasses here in May, now seven months later something is wrong with the outside of both lenses, it looks to me like the UV coating is coming off. First person I spoke with said it must be my fault, I must have used "improper chemicals". I asked for the manager, whom I told I had only used the spray cleaner they gave me, but she insisted it must be my fault, I must have cleaned them with a cloth that had lint. She offered a 50% discount but this still meant I'd have to pay over $250 for new lenses. That seems unfair, for the premium prices they charge, the glasses should last a lot longer than 7 months. They would not accept any responsibility although it seems clear the coating was defective. They have lost my business and my family's as well. read more

I chose LensCrafters because they were on my insurance plan and I was having a difficult time finding frames for my 12-year old. They did take the time to help us find smaller men's frames that fit him properly whereas Target & JC Penny has either Disney frames or huge men's glasses with nothing in between and could care less. I also had the lenses in a pair of my own frames replaced. I had to call to see what was going on after 1 week and was on hold while someone looked for my order for 15 minutes. When we went in, my frames were missing and another pair we ordered hadn't come in yet. We sat around for about 30 minutes while they attempted to locate the missing frames. I did receive the maintenance plan for free for the 2 new frames we purchased for my son in exchange for their errors and the manager was very nice and apologetic. However, they are too understaffed and have no system to track what happens to frames when they go into the lab. I am still waiting for a phone call on the last pair...it's been 2 weeks and this they were supposed to have this particular frame in the store when we selected them. read more
