This Lenscrafters has an excellent selection of frames. Most of them are higher end. I like how you can go in the same day for an eye exam. Their staff is mostly helpful. Sometimes I come in for an adjustment on my frames. I am always accommodated. They recently remodeled this store and it looks very modern. It is easy to try on frames since everything is unlocked. The staff did not pressure me at all. They are located on the south side of the mall near the old California Pizza Kitchen. read more

Wonderful customer service I walked into the Pembroke Pines Mall Lens Crafters with a pair of glasses that needed to be adjusted and tightened up. The Manager, Kurt, greeting me with a warm friendly greeting. Kurt took my glasses behind the counter and put my frames into a machine. He then cleaned my lenses, handed them back to me. Very lazy store manager. Closes the store 15 minutes before closing time. I needed to get a prescription added to my RayBans I received as a gift and drove all the way here after work only to be told that sorry, I know it's not 8pm when we close but we have to count the cash. I explained my situation and the manager was still adamant. What poor service! You might as well say you're closing at 7:45 instead of 8pm. Not going back to this branch ever again. Everyone here is very nice. Bibi is my favorite. The exam room is private and comfortable. If anything goes wrong with your order they always try to help it get fixed. The prices vary but they do have a low price range to very high. Just because it's in the mall doesnt make it more expensive. The optometrist was lovely, on time, and very efficient. Denise, the sales lady, was extremely friendly and very helpful. That all changed today when I phoned LensCrafters to enquire about a claim that was paid by my insurance company and Denise answered my call. I asked her why I had been charged $144.00 (paid on the day of my appointment) yet a claim had been submitted to my insurance company in the amount of $109.00. Denise proceeded to inform me that the $144.00 was for a contact lens exam and the $109.00 was for the routine exam. When I stated I had not been told by anyone that there was a separate charge for a contact lens exam, she proceeded to tell me I probably didn't understand. Let me state unequivocally that I do not suffer from a comprehension problem and I understand spoken language perfectly so I can assure you was I never informed of a separate charge for a contact lens exam. The fact that Denise even said these words to a customer is beyond rude and condescending. Denise was also quick to point out that Dr. Siby Varughese was an independent optician and not affiliated with LensCrafters when I said I would be making a complaint. So if this is in fact true, why was Denise, an employee of LensCrafters, responding to my query about insurance for an eye exam provided by Siby Varughese? This makes zero sense and is seemingly another technique to befuddle the customer. On Friday May 3rd I went to this location (888 inside the Mall) and asked if they could repair my lenses that I had lost one of the small screws and the other one was loose. First thing they asked me was did you buy your lenses with us? I Said "no, I am traveling and this is not my home and I am not asking for a freebie". I was a bit reluctant to trust this place with my business but I gave it a try and they did not disappoint. I was greeted immediately after entering the store. The guy asked if he could help me. I knew exactly what I wanted since I had seen a pair of D&G frames at Target. I tried them on once again and told them guy I was looking for black eyeglass frames. He helped me by picking out a few based on what I told him. I fell in love with a pair of frames from Coach! We sat and he gathered my information. I placed my order and the glasses were ready the following day after 2pm, didn't have to wait up to a week like some places.... I must say I had a good experience. The guy was patient with me while I made my selection and didn't rush me at all. Will recommend this location. --- however if you need contacts you may be better off buying them online cheaper from somewhere else. read more

The Eye exam well with the doctor, but when I try to purchase the glasses the girl was not honoring the benefits of my insurance. She kept telling me I was getting a great deal even though I have better insurance and my prescription completely change to a basic lens. I feel like they try to rip me off. I would give this Lenscrafters location zero stars if I could. This definitely ranks as one of the top 5 worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Initally I had an appointement about a week and a half ago. The wait was outrageous (I was in there two to two and half hours for a simple eye exam and contact lens fitting) and I overheard them say to some people who came in that they were about an hour to an hour and a half behind. But I digress. The real failure in, I don't know, running a business, came during my return visit when I wanted to pick up my prescription. Naturally, I had to wait a few minutes before I was even acknowledged. At that point the woman told me to wait a few minutes, and then turned around a few minutes later to ask me again what I was there for. I tell her that I just need a copy of my prescription - a request I don't expect to take longer than 5 minutes. A few minutes later she starts looking...and looking...and looking. The manager, Juan, looks at me standing by the counter and tells me I can take a seat because because it'll "be a while". What? How hard should it be to find someone's chart? So they both start looking, maybe for another ten minutes...and then they stop looking and go help other patients. At this point it seems they've given up and NO ONE has even bothered to tell me anything. At this point I've been waiting at least 20 minutes. The woman finishes with the other customer and says loudly "I'm going to call the doctor to see if she took any charts home, which would be very stupid". Who talks badly about their coworkers in front of customers? Completely unprofessional. After she gets off the phone with her, it turns out that the doctor did in fact take them home. Why patient records would be in a private doctors home I have no idea. She hangs up and tells me "they're exactly where I thought they would be, at the doctor's house". I don't know if she wanted a prize, but if that was the case the least she could've done is call her in the first place so I would have wasted slightly less of my time. She tells me that I can order contacts if I want because she jotted down the prescription in her notepad (again, WTF?) and I let her know that the last thing I wanted to do was spend any money there and that I had clearly stated that I needed my PRESCRIPTION, which they did not have. So now I have to go back to presumably waste more time in the hopes that my prescription will be there. After what I've seen I wouldn't be surprised if one of their incompetent employees told me the dog ate it. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE ELSE to get your eye related needs taken care of. this place is horrible. first, the employees didn't even take their time to help me pick out glasses, they simply just told me look around let me know when you pick what you want. i was also told by one of the employees to order my contacts from 1800 contacts because it will be less expensive and when i recently called to confirm which eye had astigmatism very rudely told to call back in 10 minutes. i thought it was ridiculous so i called 15 minutes later i was still unable to be told which eye suffered from astigmatism. i continued calling and they just kept ignoring my calls, hanging up on me and telling me to call back. finally, after multiple calls i was finally told and i ordered my contacts elsewhere. these workers have no customer service skills and are extremely rude. read more

After receiving the call to pick the up I was refused discourteously unless I had the others . I had communicated with them 4 times and had messages left. I usually go to Vision Works to get my glasses and its fairly quickly I get in and out . Today I came here because my boyfriend said they had good deals and is one of the best known for eye glasses. My appointment was at 12:00pm I got here and first there was this old man being extremely weird mind you he is a sales rep he is holding on to go pants because they might fall besides that i got in filled out some paperwork and they told me to sit and wait . After a few minutes they called me to the the blowing In the eye thing they did that and told me to sit and wait it is 3:30pm and the doctor still hasn't seen me I got up and said I was leaving horrible service they kept saying ooh your up next but nothing . I have been going to this location for a couple of years. I have had to have my glasses replaced at this location which I had bought at other lenscrafters locations.The other lenscrafter locations I had visited did not do my eye to glasses measurements properly or not at all, causing issues where my eyes were burning because of eye stigmatism. But Robert who works at this location is a gem, knows exactly what he is doing and how to do it. I have left this location perfectly satisfied, not withstanding the extra discounts on the glasses I just bought yesterday. My eyes feel perfect no issue. read more

I've been a customer of this particular location for years, but I've finally decided to move on. My main issue with them is the extremely long wait time even if you have an appointment. I've also noticed that staffing seems to be an issue. Every time I've visited, they never seem to have enough people to deal with the customers that enter the store and the ones that are calling with questions. It typically takes at least 45 mins after filling out paperwork (which is always required even if you're an existing patient) before the examination process begins. Usually, I prepare mentally for what has become a chore, but it's no longer something I'm willing to endure. On my last visit (04/29/16), I showed up 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment. There were 2 associates on the floor who were each attending to a customer. It appeared that they were each being fitted for glasses. The 2 LensCrafters employees ignored me and never acknowledged my presence. I walked pass them and went up to the check-in desk. Of course, there was no one there. I could see the technicians working in the back, but they also seemed be oblivious to my arrival. I walked to the front of the store, and again to the back where the check-in desk was located. I lingered for a few minutes to see if anyone would say something to me, but nothing like that happened. I decided to leave since they obviously didn't want my business. I called the store as I was walking out and cancelled the appointment. Interestingly enough, they had no problem answering the phone promptly. I didn't have the energy to complain about what I'd just experienced. I simply cancelled and declined to rescheduled. I'm now in the process of looking for a new eye care provider. read more

Probably one of the worst experiences I've ever encountered at an ophthalmologist/optometrist office. The workers at the Pembroke Lakes mall location give LensCrafters a bad reputation and because of them I will not be going to any LensCrafters again. I did not have a good interaction with the receptionist/cashier the moment I set foot inside the office. I was greeted by her rude and sarcastic "Can I help you?" almost as if I was inconveniencing her to have to get up and work today. When I told her I had an appointment with Dr. Varughese she tried to come up with her own rationale as to why she was clearly not expecting me (even though I had made my appointment online 2 hours prior to my appointment time). Nonetheless, I was still able to see a doctor (not Dr. Varughese since she/he was not in the office today). I didn't really care who was available to see me as long as I was able to get glasses for myself the same day since I am wearing a rather old prescription. The LensCrafters website advertises same day lenses, and to verify that this location offers this, I asked about 3 times throughout my visit (twice to the receptionist) if I would be able to get my frames and lenses today. I was told I would be able to until it came down to the end of the appointment where the guy who deals with ordering the frames and lenses told me my lenses were too difficult to make as well as their AC was broken and the the lady who makes the lenses went home because the room is too warm. All in all this was not a pleasant experience and I felt like my needs as a patient were not met. With very poor customer service and a bad attitude from the receptionist/cashier, I can't help but feel like I was being discriminated against by a lady of Indian descent. From now on I will stick to Costco where everyone works hard, is pleasant, likes what they do, and makes me feel like my needs matter. read more

Juan took care of me; I understand he has become the manager since then so the company must approve of his weirdness. He was tracking everything that went on in the shop, I felt like an intruder. I needed glasses, so I stayed. The promise date came and went, it seems the problem was my selection of executive bifocals. I contacted corporate after a month and got a call next day that they were ready. I could only wear them a short time and never got comfortable with them, found out from my eye Dr. they were made wrong. How they stay in business amazes me. On 12/3/2011 I had an appointment scheduled for my annual eye exam at LensCrafters #5585 (11401 Pines Blvd/Space #888 Pembroke Pines FL 33026). The experience was the worst care I have every received. I waited for my scheduled appointment for 1.5 hours only to be told that the Doctor was behind and it was recommended that I reschedule or try visiting another LensCrafters located within the mall (which I did and the experience was better but I still waited for approximately 40 more minutes). Additionally, I sent my glasses off from store #5585 on the same day (12/3/2011) to be repaired and the receipt stated they should be ready on 12/12/2011. I never received a call that they were ready and on 12/17/2011, I called and inquired. At first, an employee told me that I never left my glasses at the store to be repaired. When I reminded her that I had a receipt, she said she would look into it and call me back. She never called back. I went into the store later that afternoon to show my receipt and I was told that my glasses required extra time and it should be ready in approximately 7-10 days. On Thursday, 12/29/2011, I still had not received a call. I called back and was told that my frames had been broken during repair and the frames are now on back-order. I have never witnessed such blatant disregard for customer service. read more
