ELENA, one of the team members and professionals working at LensCrafters' location at 1070 MA-132, Hyannis, MA 02601, provided the best possible customer experience for me. She really went above and beyond in the level of service. I truly recommend specifically asking for ELENA's assistance for anyone's future needs at this LensCrafters location. ELENA made my day, week, and I am so happy and excited about my two new pairs of sunglasses. Thank you SO very much ELENA!!! - August 23, 2026 read more

So very kind and helpful! Went above and beyond to provide individualized assistance and were so friendly to everyone in the store.

Was demanded $177 for glasses when my insurance benefit should have allowed me to pay just $25 total. This is a violation of the "No Surprises Act" of 2021. Also a Trick and Bait too. I know that dental insurances and vision insurances are notorious for balance billing and the Act USUALLY excepts vision and dental insurances. HOWEVER, under the No Surprises Act, since my particular vision insurance, Aetna Vision, is INTEGRATED with my main health insurance, Aetna, they CANNOT DO THAT! They cannot ask for extra money and have to allow me the most basic option covered by my insurance. Also: What kinds of TRICK AND BAIT is this? The only reason I drove half an hour out of my way from home was because they were in network with my vision insurance. Otherwise I would've gone somewhere closer to home. I gave him my prescription and I know that I have a $25 lens co-pay. I also chose frames that were definitely under $130 which means my co-pay for frames would be 100% covered which means it would be zero dollars co-pay for frames. Next, I made sure to explain that I don't want any tents or any options or any special things on my lens. I want to stick to the my insurance benefit and pay just $25. Otherwise, why in the world am I paying premiums for my vision insurance? Well, the lady said that she doesn't have any of those basic lenses in stock and there was no way to order them. The minimum I would have to pay is $177. That's insane. I don't have that kind of money. They're also breaching their contract with my vision insurance if they're asking for extra money and not giving any options not to do it. imagine you're an elderly person on Medicare and you go to your primary care physician and he runs the Medicare but then also demands an extra $10,000. It's clearly illegal. But that's what's happening. I made 100% sure that there was no other options. I then contacted the national LensCrafters customer service line through the messaging in their website. They completely don't care about breach of contract or illegality like this. They said sorry we can't help you here. Just go ahead and contact your store. Next, I called my insurance and told him what happened. They gave me an email so that I can actually file a complaint against this provider. My eyeglasses prescription was extremely simple and my optometrist did not require any special lens tints or any special lens options. This is cheating. And the national lenscrafters should pursue serious accusations such as these!! Especially as I have an intergrated insurance with both the main medical insurance and vision insurance under the same member ID. read more

I'm on vacation in cape cod and I went there to hopefully get glasses because I lost mine in water and was unable to find them, the brunette b*tchy one covered in tattoos gave me nothing but a problem because I was unaware that they didn't cut lenses like it says online. There was zero acknowledgment of the fact that I can't see and would not help me. read more

10 stars for my first experience buying lenses. I was a bit stressed worrying about the cost and process. I have been using readers for 10+ years but needed a prescription. Lauren was the consummate professional. She was patient and helped me choose the right lens. When I was a bit overwhelmed with the price quote, she found a very stylish pair in the discount designer rack. I could NOT be happier. As an AMEX Platinum member, I scored 40.00 off my purchase. I have been going to this place for 22 years, and today they decided to be rude. They refused ro fill my prescription and then the fat blonde girl refused to let me make an appointment for an eye exame. I was mistreated and rudely and disgustingly treated by the staff. I will never go there again read more

Knowledgeable and friendly staff who take great care of customers. Highly recommend them.

My savior! I have Oakley lens that the plastic fish line broke. Most places won't touch Oakley. They sell Oakley and when I called to tell about the problem they said to come in and would take care of it. I did just that, came out the 30 mins to bring the frame and a second pair of glasses also to ask if they can check. The woman who I met with was efficient and checked everything with me. I was very happy to have these get repaired because I had concern that I may have had a problem not finding a shop to fix. I definitely recommend this shop as they are efficient, friendly, affordable read more

This store has a great selection of frames! Staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable.. and gave me "gratis" a hard to find size glass case for my night driving goggles. read more

Were able to see me at the last minute, identified a serious issue and made arrangements for me to see specialized care. Probably saved my vision in one eye. read more

Went for an eye exam. When they found out that I sometimes wear contacts, I was given a contact eval for $125 out of pocket (surprise!). The contacts they prescribed were useless (couldn't read with them , even with readers on)and about twice as much as I normally pay. They will not refund and I will not go back. read more

Never knew buying glasses could be fun. Have been going to this Lens Crafters for years always positive. This time it was better than positive,it was fun. the crew did a great job helping me with insurance ,coupons the whole package. It is nice to see great customer service. Good job. One thing could make it better lose the Masks. thanks Lens Crafters read more

I purchased a frame less than a month ago at another location. Twice since then they cracked out of nowhere. The first time I waited until I was back home to get the same color but this last time I could not in fact before i even left the house they broke completely. The Hyannis store was amazing telling me something the other location never did about not using rubbing alcohol on my glasses. They even offered to let me take the frame in the color they had in stock until they special ordered the original color. I was amazed and happy with the frame in a new color. Two thumbs up. read more

the people that work here have trouble with the English language and blatantly lie to your face. I was charged in full for glasses I never received. I specifically asked their staff member to include my insurance benefits and a coupon i received. none of this was done. I called today to ask where my eyeglasses were and why I was charged so much. the manager hung up on me. this is their 100 percent satisfaction guarantee. I suspect the man who helped me is an illegal on top of it all. oh well. credit card company will handle them. buy your eyeglasses elsewhere!!!!! read more

I needed to have my eyeglasses repaired, so I walked in and asked if they could fix them. All fixed in a few minutes. No charge. Nice, friendly people. Check them out. read more

I went in with a broken frame and I wanted to get the same frames. They helped me find them immediately, and were very happy to help. I never like to ask for many adjustments as I don't want to be a bother but they were a great help to me. Very friendly and respectable group of people! Thank you! read more

Bought new glasses, safety glasses at a price if 375 dollars. Wore them for the first time a few months later. The temple snapped with very little pressure. I took them back to the store. The woman agreed they were defective. I was then told they could not be repaired but they would give me 20 percent off a new pair, as they did not warranty safety glasses. What a deal! So, obviously a very shady company weaseling out of their obligation through the fine print. read more

Worst after care service ever! I called to confirm that the prescription I had in my records was correct and they refused to let me know I had the correct Rx because it had expired 3 weeks earlier. Unbelievable! I paid a very hefty price for a full exam and was duped into paying for additional useless addons in that same exam. How can they now refuse to let me know what the results were. NEVER go there again. I would have gladly scheduled an appointment to update my Rx but not now. They lost a good customer because of a stupid policy. read more

Lens crafters goes above and beyond when it cones to customer service. I have been going there since 2004. They always have my glasses ready when they say they will and always help out even when the glasses in question were not made by them. Oleg is who I have been dealing with lately and he knows his stuff!! If you rely on glasses to see and want prompt and courteous service, then this is the place to go. I've been to other "private" optometrist in Sandwich and they never stand up to the high level of professionalism, customer service and timeliness that Lens Crafters does. And no I don't work there. I am just a loyal customer. read more

Came with my mother to look at eye glasses. Neither one of us have worn eye glasses before & we weren't impressed at all coming here. The display wasn't very attractive presenting their designer named frames (of course the reason we stopped in!) The dusty plastic trays were not very inviting to either of us nor the employees inviting either. Not one person greeted us or acknowledged our presence in the store. I mean we had to of looked some what lost while shopping, as a waiting customer had to direct us away from the men's frames to the women's section to avoid our own embarrassment. We had to leave the Tory burch frames sadly behind. read more

I went for the quick turnaround lens crafters advertises. This branch (Hyannis MA ) has had its lab shut down, so they ordered my glasses online. I wasn't informed I could have done it myself quicker ! The woman I dealt with was about as pleasant as an RMV worker. read more

While on vacation my husband lost his glasses and needed a replacement pair quickly. We originally got them at Lens Crafters in New Jersey - he called the Hyannis LensCrafters and they were able to pull up his exact glass frame and lens and have them made in under 24 hours. Staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable read more

Went with my husband to help him choose eye glasses. We were very impressed with Martina. She helped him choose glasses that worked for him. She is very knowledgeable regarding the brands, helped research our insurance and explained the different type of lenses, coatings etc. We would recommend LensCrafters with Martina's assistance. read more

Make sure you get the $34 warranty. Even though you pay &610 for a pair of glasses if the finish falls off the glasses in 7 months it's not covered. They should just include the warranty price and everyone would be happy. read more

Only went there because i broke my glasses. Cheap, crappy lenses, tried twice over two days to get prescription right, two trips from falmouth, four or five hours wasted. Cost as much or more than varilux from my doctor. Never again. read more

I made an appointment 6 days before my appointment. 45 minutes before my appointment time, I get a phone call stating that my appointment had to be canceled because of a standing appointment at that time ..... um, really? You couldn't tell me this WHEN I made the appointment? Awesome. read more

Have been in a few times for checkups with the Doctor. Each time I wait over 45 minutes to actually se her. How can someone be so far behind so early in the day. I cannot recommend this office for eye exams because of this lack of regard for my time. The eyeglass ladies in the store part are amazing and the glasses are made efficiently and in a time manner. Definitely recommend the store. read more

My experience was entirely different. Last Friday I broke my eyeglass frames and went to lenscrafters on Saturday hoping to find frames that would accept my lenses. I believe it was Oleg who asked how he could help me. I showed him my frames and without even looking at the huge stock of inventory told me I had to buy new glasses and frames. So I decided to get an eye exam. Not ten minutes later a family came in whose son broke his frames. The same person asked to help them and were told the same thing. Why repair something if you can sell new glasses. My daughter looked at them and told me they were rimless frames and only have to match the upper part, the rest is adjustable. So on Sunday afternoon I went to the mall and went to Sears optical. The technician took one of my lenses and in 2 minutes found a frame that would work. Tem minutes later I was out the door with my new frames. So don't accept what you are told by a lazy salesperson. Go somewhere else and get another solution. By the way their prices are no better than anywhere else and sometimes higher. The only advantage is they are done in an hour. Hopefully correctly done. read more

I've never ever been on live television before. Karen was awesome and helped me build a great pair of Rx Ray-Ban sunglasses that I'll be wearing in the lead role in the sequel to A Star is Born. Quick to take your money very accusatory with warranty issue. I bought a pair of prescription Oakley sunglasses there for a pretty penny and then when I went in for a warranty return they said they do not handle that I have to go through Oakley. They would not give me the phone number for the Oakley warranty claims. Then the manager (guy with beard, always dressed in black) accused me of it being my fault. Still trying to get warranty claim done through Oakley. Stay as far away from this store as you can no matter what insurance you have. read more

Went to Lenscrafters today to purchase a new pair of progressives and a new pair of reading glasses. The level of customer service was excellent. My primary contact was Erica. I highly reccomended Lenscrafters in Hyannis and will definitely return for my next pair of glasses. read more

Excellent service. Purchased contact lenses and glasses in under 30 minutes. The glasses were ready same day.

I've had two appointments there in the last month. The first appointment for a vision check and contacts fitting took 21/2 hrs. They were running 45minutes behind and from there on in I was shuffled from one room then back to the waiting room 3x. My f/u visit I waited in an empty waiting room for 40minutes. Dr.Parker was great once I met with her, but staff needs a brush up on customer service. read more

Terrible. Went in three times. Each time the first person to assist me was unable to because he/she clearly didn't know what they were doing. I wasn't a complicated patient. Then the lenses I got were totally wrong wrong for reasons that took almost an hour to figure out. Finally got a nice pair of glasses, but then when I scratched a lens slightly and brought it in, they said must be replaced; then found out must replace BOTH lenses; and having paid $650 or so for the glasses first round, I'd have to pay over $900 just because of one slightly scatched lens. They said it's the lens manufacturer's policy. I said to bleep with that and vowed I'd never use them again. I did not get the insurance, true enough, and expected to pay something. But they recommended the manufacturer. So it's a combination of that and the incompetency of every first person I saw each of the three times I arrived. More than coincidence. read more

Horrible. The tech in the office had no idea what she was doing and the glasses/perscription I received gives me vertigo. Not to mention it was extremely expensive and I didn't even purchase new frames. Do yourself a favor and go off cape. read more
