Dr. Esfandiari is the NICEST eye doctor! He remembered my son and I from almost 2 years ago and is very kind, caring, and personable. He has such a fun and vibrant personality and makes you feel special. My teenage son loves him. Good pricing, often have specials and the staff work well at figuring out your insurance coverage. Very efficient team and they call and keep you informed on the status of your eye glasses. read more

They deserve all the stars! Not only did the technician adjust my two year old glasses so that they fit perfectly, he also said they were in great shape and I really didn't need to get new frames. Trying to save me money instead of up selling? Not something that happens much anymore and much appreciated! read more

Extremely helpful. Fast and efficient. Made adjustments to bent out shape glasses I apparently sat on.

Not a great experience. The Optometrist was good but the retail staff was below average. Just needed lenses and it took over 3 weeks to receive them. I called several times after the promised "2 week maximum" turnaround and each call answered by a sales associate gave me a different answer. I finally picked frames and they didn't even fit them to my face, they just handed the glasses to me and felt like, we are done with you. They also promised a nice frame case on each call but instead gave me a throw away flimsy gray cloth, good for nothing. read more

$129 eye exam. Scheduled appt online through yelp app, drove over there, was fitted with new contacts and back home within 30 minutes. Super efficient. Dr Keane was awesome. Highly recommend. All digitalized testing equipment, great eyeglass and contact selections. read more

Never worn glasses before. But time had come where I needed to address what middle age was starting to do. My first lens crafters experience at another store location was not great. I felt rushed and felt that some of the employees they hire at lens crafters aren't very experienced with insurance coverage and it bugged. Wasted sooo much time for nothin. But I went to the Encinitas location and talked to NICK! This guy is the man! Very professional guy, and got me all dialed in! Went above and beyond with customer service. Nick def turned it around and made me change my first thoughts I had about Lens Crafters. They don't have a LAB at this location, but not a big deal to me..waited only a few days and got a text saying to come pick them up. Pretty smooth and easy deal. I'll be coming back here in the future. read more

I've used Lenscrafters over the years and experiences have been mixed but mostly positive. They offer enticing discounts but bottom line is never as good as the promise!! I had a couple things done at this store (Encinitas) recently and was taken care of by Jeremy, the manager. He's amazing and seems to set the tone for the store and all employees. Everyone was super helpful and Jeremy is aware of everything that's going on in the store. I was the CEO of a successful retail operation in Europe and know a good manager when I see one. Must be worth his weight in gold to Luxottica........ read more

I went into the store today with sunglasses that were falling off my face. I did NOT buy them from LensCrafters, but they were able to adjust them to perfectly fit my face. They have great customer service and I highly recommend them for all your glasses needs!! read more

Great customer service. I bought a pair of Burberry glasses a little over a year ago and the frames started peel on one side. They replaced them with new frames!! Jeremy was so great to do that for me!! Thank you!! read more

I have been to many LensCrafters in the last 10 years and now I am excited to say the Encinitas location is my Favorite! Very clean store as i walked in. Marc greeted my twin brother and I with a smile and strated to help us in every way. We scheduled an eye exam and Kelli was amazing so professional really took her time with my eyes using the latest technology equipment etc. After such a good exam she had Jeremy and Denver take such good care of us offering is the best solutions/ advice along with our coupons etc. I run my own business and strive to find employees like these guys. I would give 6 stars if i could. Best experience hands down. I will be back often. Thanks again Encinitas Lens crafters :) read more

If you want the tech to tell you to just stick your elderly father's head in there, meaning the diagnostic machine, then this is your store. If you want the happy Dr A to tell your elderly father to please come back if there are any problems and then cancel the appointment when there are problems stating, "there's nothing I can do for you" then this is your store. read more

Not sure about LensCrafters as a whole but would not use the Encinitas store again. Optometrist was OK but sales staff was terrible. They just wanted to sell me the most expensive lenses even if they were not the best for my needs. Polycarbonate lenses have more imperfections and I didn't need light lenses since these were just reading glasses. Finally put order in and was told it should be ready in about 5 days. After a week I call and they say they just came in. Tried them on and could tell something was not right immediately. Sales staff says: "Maybe your eyes are not used to them yet - take them home and try them for a week". I insist that something is not right, grab some off the shelf readers and they are fine. Finally they figure out that they typed the prescription in wrong and made one les +.25 and the other +1.5 when they were both supposed to be the same. This is after they tried to send me home with the glasses. They said they'll re-do the glasses and it's been 2 weeks and still no call that they're ready. I have no faith in these guys they need better quality control and staff that caters to customer needs and doesn't just try to sell you the most expensive lenses. read more

Selection of frames is excellent. Store is clean and well organized. Top designers and many updated frames to chose from. Kellie helped me with my fitting, and had great suggestions. I bought Tiffany frames for every day and Burberry frames for sunglasses. Lenses were top quality. read more

I would not go here again. Seems like every time I order eyewear here it needs to be redone. It is not a 1 hour location either. So when they mess up your frames, it can take several days to redo and another trip to the store. I literally had to say yes, I want it redone at least 7 times for the lady to understand I wanted a new pair of frame, rather than taking them in the back for her to mess them up again. read more

This is a great establishment. They have a great selection of frames. George was stellar with his review process and very friendly. When I went back for my exam Anthony was very helpful in helping me get the frames I liked in my budget. I will recommend this lens crafters to all my friends and family. read more

One of the value propositions of LensCrafters is that they offer same day eyeglasses. But unlike all of the other LensCrafters locations I've visited, this one has no on-site lab, so it cannot make prescription lenses on site. They don't tell you this until you are all the way through the process and about to pay, and bam, surprise, they tell you it will take five to seven business days. Very disappointing and misleading sales practice. read more

Jeremy and Nick and Dr VanDan were fantastic. Quick very friendly and fantastic service. No hidden cards. Loved my experience

This new location is amazing! Super clean and state of the art equipment. I needed my eyes checked since it's been a few years. Dr. Kelly was so professional and great to work with. Jeremy was so great to deal with and helped adjust my sunglasses to fit my face perfectly. Denver helped me check out and go over all my options in full detail...great to also deal with. Mark was great the day before my exam with getting me all dialed in before the visit. All around awesome staff and new location...makes life so easier than other super busy locations I've spent hours at. Go check them out!!! Thanks everyone, (The twin brothers) read more

Extraordinary service by guy who helped me over the phone. (I want to say his name was Nick.) He walked me through all of my questions and was able to find the best deal for me for my contacts. I believe it was also him that helped me several months ago. The rest of the staff seems good too! read more

My experience was fine for the store and exam. Clean place with nice people and Dr... but that was it. As another reviewer pointed out, they do not have their own lab so they have to order glasses from some other location... and here the problem begins. So, I ordered a pair of progressive lens glasses. They told me 5-7 days. It was day 7 when I received a call stating that they had the wrong lenses in for my order. They stated that it would likely be another 7 days for the correct lenses to show up. Well, I'm preparing to depart on a holiday vacation to see family so I will not be around to pickup the correct glasses/lenses when they arrive just before Christmas. I'll be gone... and by that time I'll have been without glasses for almost 4 weeks. I asked to cancel the order. The rep told me that they cannot cancel the order over the phone, and I'd have to come into the store to get my $400+ back (on my credit card). Strange and frustrating. Go someplace else. By the way, I compared their prices to others (Costco & Zenni), and Lenscrafters is BY FAR the MOST EXPENSIVE. I can get my Progressives, a pair of Reading, and a pair of Driving all for less than a single pair from Lenscrafters. read more

I really appreciate the Lenscrafters in Encinitas. The staff is totally professional, and very helpful. My eye exam with Dr. E was the best I've ever had. Dr. E really goes the distance to make sure he's giving you the very best lens prescription, and advice on glasses given the way you use them. Just days before, I had walked out on the Lenscrafters in UTC. After waiting a half hour for my scheduled eye exam, I just got tired of waiting. But that's just a start with my problems at the UTC L/C branch. I really get so tired of having to say "no" at least three times to every possible upgrade on your glasses the staff there can possibly think of. The Encinitas L/C is a breath of fresh air, and is now the goto for all my family needs. read more

Quite frankly...the best experience I've ever had. First, Dr. Esfandiari was outstanding. The examination equipment was state of the art and Dr. Esfandiari has the rare ability to explain complex issues in "every day" language. I highly recommend this professional and personable optometrist. Second, the glasses. Nick was EQUALLY outstanding. He was patient, professional and engaging in helping me select two sets of frames and converting a set of sunglass lenses into prescription lenses. While I could have spent less money on frames elsewhere, the technology they use to fit the lenses to your face is well worth the price differential. Lastly, the main reason I tried LensCrafters was because of the Yelp ratings I reviewed. The reviews were spot on and I will DEFINITELY be a repeat customer! read more

After visiting several eye-care professionals in the past few years, I can honestly say that LensCrafters in Encinitas is the best. Having worn contacts since the age of 12 and having very poor eyesight (-11), I have had tons of experience with the optometry profession. The front of the LensCrafters facility looks like a typical well-kept eyeglass store, clean and well-displayed. However, for those of us with weaker eyes, the "back room" is where all the action is! Entering a side hallway, I was guided into a very state-of-the art exam experience. with the most modern exam equipment I have encountered to date, including a new machine that has you focus on a hot-air balloon to gauge your eye prescription. I am told it is 99% accurate. Amazing! After some initial testing and friendly guidance with a very nice assistant, I was introduced to Dr Sabrina Warhola. Dr. Warhola was not only more professional than I could imagine, she was also considerate, funny and explained everything in simple terms during my exam. I left the exam with confidence and satisfaction that I had chosen this facility for my exam. I would absolutely return to LensCrafters and recommend it to anyone else. read more

Great location. Pretty busy but the staff is working hard and they're pretty quick. I almost wanted to say I'm not in a rush but I'm sure they all had other things to do. Exam was awesome with Dr. Esfandiari. He knows what he is doing, he is polite and a very positive person (which is always great in my opinion). Nick is also extremely knowledgable and professional. They both take the time to personalize the experience and tell you your options/explain everything. I also called around 2pm and they were able to get me in for a follow up at 4pm - same day read more

So, went to my opthamologist. He said yes, time for glasses . So got my prescription and took it down the street to Lens Crafters. The entire experience was great . Greeted me as soon as I walked in. I walked around a large selection of frames . Pick out a set and they fitted the lens to my face via photo computer system. I returned 5 days later and put on a perfect set of glasses. They give you a 30 day satisfaction on your purchase . read more

Dr. Kelly Keane made my eye exam easy with fancy brand new technology and equipment. Wow! Tina helped me choose my new glasses. The whole experience was fast and easy! Best LensCrafters ever. No waiting around for an appointment and they are the only ones in SAN Diego that have the new Clarifeye exam and technology. The manager team is simply amazing and the location is much more convenient... so happy they opened this store! read more

It was time for me to get glasses finally and I purchased a pair at LensCrafters. I recently had a VERY POSITIVE experience at Lenscrafters at the store located in the Encinitas Ranch Shopping Center. I was warmly greeted as soon as I walked in by Nick Fay, the store manager. Nick helped me understand the nuances of premium non-reflective lenses in a very systematic, analytical, calm and articulate way, not to mention very friendly. He's like a professor who has a vested interest in a student! Nick clearly has been gifted with superior professional communication skills, and I highly recommend that you benefit from his knowledge and experience. Go see him......you won't regret it! Terrible customer service. I called to refill my contact lens prescription and they "couldn't find" my file. This is despite the fact that I purchased contact lenses from this store within the year, and glasses within the last nine months. The woman I spoke with had no explanation other than "well, we changed our system, and we think some files got lost, so that's probably what happened." I asked to speak with a manager and was told someone would call me but (of course) no one did. Given that they had my name, social security number, health insurance information, and other PHI, the fact that they "lost" my file, and had no rational explanation for it (nor did they bother to apologize) is completely outrageous. read more

I usually go to Lens Crafter because I can get a quick turnaround on new glasses. This lens crafter does not have a lab and did not tell me that until after I placed my order and they informed me that it would be 5 to 7 business days before my glasses would be ready. Next time I will check to make sure they have an on-site lab. read more
