I had the worst experience at Lens Crafters. First, I had to get my prescription revised TWICE because someone inputted it "incorrectly" in the system. I originally picked up my glasses (after two weeks and calling several times because I was never texted the "Ready" message). The prescription felt off since I tried them on but granted I haven't worn glasses in a long time so I assumed I would take some time to get adjusted. One, two weeks go by of me wearing them consistently but nothing improved. Many headaches (literally) later, I went back and scheduled a prescription check with the eye doctor next door to make sure everything was good on that end. Doctor confirmed prescription was correct. So I headed next door to let them know something wasn't right. They checked the prescription and yes, everything was "correct". The lady who helped me then re-measured my face to make sure that was correct as well, took my lenses and had them remade. Again, two weeks or so go by and again, I have to be calling to check on the status because I do not receive updates. Finally I'm told lenses are ready so I go back to have them changed. As soon as I try them on, I can tell the problem remains. My sight was as if I was looking at an uneven mirror. So I let the person helping me know. She checks the prescription again and yes, everything seemed correct. I finally speak to a manager who was very helpful and finally tells me I'm not crazy. He mentions something about some negative and positive numbers... I don't know. My prescriptions never been too dramatic so I had no idea what he was talking about but then he tells me I'm not crazy and the prescription had I'm fact been inputted incorrectly into their system. Throughout this whole ordeal I have my kids with me (10, 5 and 1) so you can imagine I was losing my sh... Manager graciously agrees to have me keep my frame and lenses while problem is resolved so that I don't have wait any longer. Perfect! I was happy with that. So I walk out and he says he'll take care of everything. Great! It's now been more than a month since that happened. This afternoon I decide to stop by (since I'm already at the mall doing some shopping) to check on the status since I have yet to receive a text message or any sort of communication. I ask the front desk and tell the person helping me the whole ordeal and she informs me the last time they texted me was March 6. It's April 11. Anyway, I try on the glasses, problem's fixed, everything is great! Buuuut I don't have my old glasses because THEY DO NOT WORK so I don't carry them around. I physically CANNOT use them. Girl tells me she cannot give me the glasses because I need to return the old ones.... I mean duh. Makes sense. Dumb me, didn't think of that. PLUS I wasn't told but again, duh. Common sense. I ask to talk to the manager, he comes over and I explain the situation. I said, I need my glasses now. It's now been about TWO months since I was supposed to get them the first time. And I've been having to be back and forth for a mistake THEY made. Mind you, I live exactly 27 minutes away with no traffic. So that's a whole hour out of my day of travel to pick up something I already paid for. I explain. I tell him, can't I just take them and come back and return the old ones at another time? I mean I CANNOT use them. They're worthless. I'm told, No. We need the glasses. I can't give you the new ones. Then I say, "Ok. So you're gonna make me drive home, get the glasses, come back so that I can get glasses I already paid for? And that after two months I haven't been able to get because a mistake on your end?" Response: "Yes. You only paid for one pair so I need the other ones before I give you yours." So here I am, sitting in my car in my driveway with my three kids. Getting ready to drive another 27 minutes there and back home to get my glasses. After two months. Because of their mistake. In summary, it should not take me 5 trips back and forth to get a pair of glasses. Last time I take my business there. The one star is only because I got a new frame

The second doctor even yelled at me in the exam room telling me he is not interested in what I had to say while I tried to explain why I am there. The doctor at Southwest dismissed me saying I was seeing streaks on their lens machine and that it was as good as it was going to get with my prescription. For two years I struggled with my prescription making it hard to see. I remembered I went to see an optometrist back at El Paso Eyeworks located on Gateway w. I recalled I saw clearly after my exam, so I reached out to her. I saw the optometrist (Dr. Syndy Maynard) this past Saturday, and she listened to my concerns. Turns out, 3 doctors (ophthalmologist, all male), could not figure out that I now needed bifocals. I told these 3 ophthalmologists the exact same thing I told this optometrist. That was the change in my vision. I never had to wear bifocals before. These previous doctors could not figure out or care to figure out that hey, maybe we should take her seriously and investigate just a little further. Two years I was struggling to see! One doctor listened, cared and helped make the correct diagnosis. I am forever grateful for Dr. Maynard and strongly recommend her!
