My husband and I have seen Dr Winnick for over 25 years. He has been and is an excellent optometrist. Because of scheduling conflicts, we have seen Dr Hoover for the past two years. Both optometrists are excellent!!! My husband was in the optical business and he knows when a doctor is good! And they are the best! After having an off experience up north, I thought I would try my hand at this location but felt all eyes on my to buy something while I tried on glasses. For some reason their pricing is so much more than if you purchase online so I tried on glasses and bought elsewhere. Had never been there before and couldn't find it in the mall. It is not on the directory map, just the name... Called 12 times to ask directions, they kept hanging up on me. Gave up and headed out, accidentally went past it. Went in, told her all about it and told them to cancel the appt. Walking out I hear her and her co-worker, neither of whom can answer the business phone, laughing at me. I have rotten feet that hurt and use a cane, also old. Really loved wandering around extra looking for this dump amidst the BS Gucci, Vuitton, and other made in China tripe stores. Must have made their day to have someone to jeer at. This is the worst place. First of all they are not cheap, even with insurance. Second, it has been over a month since our order and I have not heard anything from them. Third, I have tried calling and they don't answer the phone. So we've paid for the glasses and can't seem to get the product purchased without making a physical trip to the store just to get an "update". Overall, a horrible experience and I would recommend going ANYWHERE else. Mixed Feelings This place is really split up in two parts -- eye exams and glasses. You get the eye exam and script in the back. It is always super duper busy there, no matter the time. They book like crazy! It feels like you are just a number in that sense. I was referred to an eye specialist. I had trouble verifying their network status. I finally realized that they were out-of-network. It didn't feel like anyone there was looking out for my best interest. Also, that eye specialist I was referred to happens to be the husband of an ophthalmologist who works at the Cherry Creek store. Kind of made me question the authenticity of the referral. The glasses area is fun. They have some really great frames, and the staff is really nice. read more

Warning before going there to get your glasses adjusted (seems like I am not the only one who has experienced something like this at this location): Troy, the assistant manager, adjusted my glasses. He crazed the lenses and dented the frame. I went in there 3 days in a row to try to get them to make it right. Jessica, the team lead, first tried to convince me that my prescription wasn't right in the first place and that I should just buy new glasses through them instead. When I got the prescription verified by a couple other places in the area, that it was actually correct, I went back to Jessica to let her know and asked again for them to please make it right. She then became very cold, insulted my taste in frames, called them "cheap", and said "this is why I don't work with engineers. They never take what I say at face value". They finally agreed to replace my lenses that they broke but refused to fix or take responsibility for the frames (which were the most expensive part). At this point I had such a bad experience and interaction with them that trust was lost and I did not want to work with them any longer. Had to get new frames and lenses on my own. Went to Warby Parker to get them adjusted and Vanya there was amazing and adjusted them perfectly (covered the lenses with their hand so that they would not craze and was very careful with the frames). They will try to rob you and up-charge everything. Before I even found a pair of glasses I liked I was told the amount I'd have to pay with insurance and it was astronomical. They didn't even sit down with me to discuss what I wanted to be added and went ahead and added a bunch of unnecessary stuff without explanation. Called again after the appointment with my insurance to understand the cost/breakdown and was basically told without all the stuff *they* added on I'd not even be able to use the glasses. Quite a scam when I've been wearing glasses my whole life and know what I want or know what I do not need. read more

We ordered my son frames and lenses on December 23, 2024. When they came in, the store didn't warn us or even disclose that they were actually giving him an incorrect frame style and in the wrong size. At home the same day, when we discovered the error, we immediately called the branch to try to fix the problem. "Max" said nothing could be done, refused to put us in contact with a manager, and said calling around to other stores or checking other regions was "above [his] pay grade." At the same time, he insisted a manager would be unable to help, either. Another branch, however, was able to remedy the problem and get the correct size and style in a single, short phone call. In my opinion, the Cherry Creek location of LensCrappers is staffed with too many lazy, unhelpful, unprofessional schmucks. I recommend shopping elsewhere. read more

I have had LC provide my glasses several times and this included sunglasses. However the last time the eyeglasses were not done correctly. The transition coating was not applied and I had to go more than a year with this mistake because Jane, who screwed up the order, wanted another $178 to fix the mistake she made. In the end, I had my two pairs of glasses replaced by a more helpful company and Lens Crafter is loosing money as a result of Jane's mistake read more

After struggling to find the right pair of glasses I was informed by the sales representative that she was no longer going to help me until I picked a frame as I had been in the store too long. Spoke to the supervisor, he did not offer help of any sort or another representative to assist me. I was informed he would talk to her privately. I am a disabled person, I actually need assistance, I have to use a cane to walk, that they would deem this appropriate is absolutely appalling. The Dr, Sherry Shepard, was extremely unfriendly, almost hostile. I honestly wanted to and should have left half way thru the exam. She seemed bothered by the fact that I was there. Everyone else at the front desk and the tech who did the initial pictures and such were friendly and professional, but the Dr. really needs to understand that her attitude will drive away customers and her demeanor was not warranted and should not be accepted. I would not recommend this location to a friend and I have no plans to return. I highly recommend coming here to do your annual eye exam. I have been coming here for the past three years and always have a good experience. Diane up front is very helpful and will take great care of you. Dr. Hoover is who I see and recommend going too. He does a very thorough job when doing your eye exam and goes over all details and concerns. This place also has a great selection of frames and sunglasses. The supporting staff at the ophthalmologist's office were wonderful and friendly. I also had a wonderful experience with Elvira at the frame/lens store. Elvira was attentive, patient and friendly while assisting my purchase of frames and lenses. She showed me all price and style options I was interested in. I would recommend the LensCrafters frame and lens store, as well as the doctors supporting staff. However, I did NOT enjoy my visit with Dr. Shephard. She was extremely cold, unfriendly, and seemed to be burdened by my presence. She made multiple rude/demeaning comments during my examination. When I asked why she needs me to tell her exactly what mental health condition I have to explain my medication history, she told me "Your eyes are connected to the rest of your body" in a condescending way. After I accidentally preemptively answered a "1 or 2" question during examination, she told me "1 comes before 2 always" in a manner that was demeaning and unprofessional. My partner who sat in on my examination pointed out how rude she was to me after the appointment and mentioned her comments and attitude. Additionally, she was extremely rude when I asked if she was able to pull up prior prescription history from a different LensCrafters ophthalmologists office. She acted like I was stupid for not knowing that the ophthalmologist's offices connected with LensCrafters do not share the same medical operating systems. Unfortunately, I have to return for a follow-up visit, but after that I will not be returning to this doctor's office for examinations afterwards. If you're looking for an ophthalmologist that can at least pretend to care about their patients, do not come here. read more

The fun begins in the front store, The doctor specifically told the sales guy all I needed was basic reading glasses. $600 later they want to sell me a pair of used open box glasses that, I don't have the balls to tell me they will clean them and they are like new lol been probably sitting on the shelf for months. I came here upon moving to Denver, since I had previously gone to a Lenscrafters in Boston, and I like it because all of your information transfers and you can make an appointment online. My first appointment wasn't bad, and people were helpful. However, after my last visit, where my fiancé and I both came to get glasses, I think I will be finding somewhere else to go.... $700 later. All these people do is try to upsell you. We picked out glasses we both thought were reasonably priced, and then they take you through a check list of add ons, without explaining the benefits of any of them, or what is really necessary. I will say the girl who helped me was a little more understanding, but the guy who was helping my fiancé wouldn't even SHOW us the iPad he was using so I could see what he was selecting. He kept insisting we needed the "premium" lenses, and making snide comments about asking his mom for money? The whole thing was embarrassing but we had already gone through the whole process. In hindsight I wish we had stopped right there and gone somewhere else, but instead we spent $700 on shitty lenses and glasses that continue to need to be adjusted. I would maybe go there for sunglasses I can just buy off the shelf, but I will not be buying anything Rx from here ever again, and will be finding somewhere that takes my insurance, ASAP. read more

Ugh. I absolutely hate this store. The ONLY reason I go here is they have more brand name frames than other stores. They're so freaking rude here and never have the patience to doa proper adjustment. I am very specific w my glasses and I go by my eye brows NOT my eyes. They always tell me that's not how we adjust glasses. Ok well who cares it's how I adjust them so don't worry about it. I 100% of the time leave and immediately go to Belmar or the mall off Wadsworth and let them adjust my frames. The only reason to go to this location is to try frames on. The exam was fine. But two weeks after my appointment I'm still mulling over my experience at the Cherry Creek LensCrafters. First appointment of the day and I arrived just before. There was another person (middle-aged man) waiting alongside me. When they rolled up the gate, the doctor approached the waiting man effusively, called him by name and escorted him in. Everyone completely ignored me (a well-dressed, middle-aged woman), not even acknowledging me at the front desk. The other patient, on the other hand, continued to enjoy a warm welcome as he made his way through the store. Feeling invisible, I walked myself to the inner office where someone at the doctor's desk finally noticed my existence. Not sure what the deal with all the negative reviews is - I had a great experience here. SELECTION/PRICE: I found a pair of frames I really liked at 60% off (it's very possible that the original price was marked up to begin with but in the end, it was still a really good deal for a pair of Prada frames). I compared their 60% off selection with another Lenscrafters and this store had way more options (this obviously depends on stock but it worked out in my favor). I even saw a pair of Tiffany frames at 60% off. Anyway, this was the first place I came so I thought I'd shop around. I must have gone to at least eight other eyewear shops after and ended up back here in the end. Most eyewear shops had really high prices for designer frames without any sales and I couldn't afford anything I liked. Additionally, most of the other stores had a much smaller selection than this Lenscrafters. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Just to start, I did not get my optical exam done here (went to Target because I don't have vision insurance and figured it'd be cheaper). So I did not experience that part of the process. As far as shopping for frames goes, the staff was great. During my initial visit, Brett was very helpful - aided with the hunt for frames and gave me a breakdown of my pricing options. When I returned to grab the frames that initially sparked my interest, I was assisted by Camille. She was awesome - helpful, friendly, and patient as I decided what sort of add-ons I wanted for my lenses. When I came to pick up my glasses, another staff member took care of me (didn't get her name) and she was friendly and helpful as well. She patiently answered my questions and addressed my concerns (re: slight blurriness which occurs with new prescriptions). They also allow you to bring the glasses back if you're not satisfied which is comforting to know. Overall, a great experience. I was told it would be 7-10 days for my glasses. After 10 days, they said they were in their lab in Tx, and would be in Denver in two days. After two days, they said, oh, another three, after three, I was told, oh they are at our lab in Ohio, and it will be another week. Really? Don't go there. Costco is less expensive, and they stand by their word. If I had gone to Costco, I would have had my glasses two weeks ago. As it is, I'm still waiting for LensCrafters. read more

This review is for the Dr office at Lens rafters in CC Mall. I had an appointment and provided my insurance info. I completed my documents and was called back for my exam. The exam was fine. Afterwards I was told that they couldn't find me with the insurance. I quickly called my benefits person at work, I had the wrong insurance company. So I provided the correct info. They looked me up and said their office was out of network. So I had to pay for my exam. My issue is, shouldn't the situation of insurance be reviewed prior to the exam? What if I didn't have cash to pay for it? I felt taken advantage of and will likely not return. read more

Visited their location in Cherry Creek Mall. The lady doing the actual eye test paid 0 attention. The machine didn't work a few times, other times she failed to track the results, didn't provide instructions properly - a lot of which led to repeating tests. I have my doubts now on the result and may go to someone else who pays attention to details. read more

So, at Miss Laura's farewell gala, I drunkenly managed to step on my pair of $700 glasses (I had a slew of cash to go through on my Payflex account by 2 days from the deadline, so I got some titanium frames and a slew of enhancements for my lenses). And drunkenly thought, "wow, that's an ice cube! I better make sure no one stumbles on it like I almost did...*crunch, crunches into floor 3 more times...stops, frowns, thinks "That didn't feel like ice...", looks down and doesn't have words profane enough to accompany how I felt at that moment*. I was *very* glad I was pickled at that point, fairly calm and "It'll work out, the universe always works it out"...because if I'd been sober, I would have been livid. 2 days later, call up Lenscrafters. I'd consulted with my brother and he said "Well, since the lenses are intact, and your frame is just twisted or bent, they'll probably charge you $45 or so." I was envisioning $100 because of the special nature of the lenses and the frames. The bottom half of the lenses were held in by what looked like fishing line, and 1 of those lines was broken. I call, and explain my situation, and was told, "Sure, we can take care of that for you! Not a problem." I cringe and ask them how much that's going to run. "Oh, for something like that, no problem. It's free." *Really*? *Free*??? That's my favorite price in the whole universe for goods and services. WOOT!! I hop in my car and jet down there and tell my helper (and the lab tech) the story I just posted above -- after all, they're helping me, they deserve some entertainment in return. Lab tech smiles, helper says "We've all done that, haven't we?" I said "Not with multiple footstomps, probably!" About 8-10 mins later (they were estimating 20), my glasses are back, nearly good as new. A few small scratches on the bottom of the lenses that I can't see when I put them on. A few adjustments to the frame, and I'm off and running again, extremely happy with the outcome. These peeps really saved my bacon here, I was dreading the cost of the repair bill...and to offer it up for free, and do it on the spot and not having to make an appointment?? We where misled by the manager Amanda at Dr Winnicks office . We went for an appointment and She just sent us in the room for an eye exam for both my wife and I and didn't ask for our insurance first to let us know what was covered and then we get a surprise charge that was not covered under the insurance plan .Then proceeded to charge us 272.00 but my wife was stunned and told her we have insurance and Amanda stated that we didn't present information and my wife told her it was on the paper work so she said that will be 48.00 apiece and never gave paperwork only a small receipt and so I recommend going elsewhere LensCrafters is not affiliated with the company they just share the space which The sales lady told us we were out of network. The manager is very deceptive and those practices need to be addressed be careful when you do an eye exam LESSON Learned read more

My first experience (a year ago) was decent. The actual doctors are great; however, the other staff have consistently demonstrated a lack of attention to detail as I was almost charged for the wrong items, and received improper means of documentation. They advertised a rebate for purchasing a year supply of contact lenses and went over the requirements, but they didn't even hold up their end of responsibility. Because of that, I now have to go in a third time, due to inconsistency and a lack of communication with fellow staff members. I hope the craziness within this week is a one time occurrence, because it is unacceptable. read more
